  5. 1. It's way too early to tell. You could never make predictions this early. 2. Gotta be @hedgehog337. Really got me motivated to stay consistent with my earnings. 3. LAS because they have Jeffrey Pines. 4. We use it as a deterrent or attraction. 5. Neither. I hate mustard and I rarely eat burgers so I'd probably die if I did either. 6. Mcjake. He is our main guy and I think adding a "C" will just make him even better.
  6. I'm not sure I would get the job, but I'd love to get application experience.

  9. This is sick! Thank you so much for making this. I love the style and the bold colors. With your permission I'd love to use this as my new Sig. PS: I'm not inactive lol Kinda gave me a scare tbh.
  10. Season 78 marks a new beginning for Justin Lose. Transitioning from the rookie of the team and then the struggling sophomore of the team and finally into the team veteran. Being a veteran of the VHL is not easy and this is a new challenge for Lose. After failing to make it to the playoffs in Season 77, Riga is looking to bounce back with the veterans leading the way. Lose is finally getting his chance to be the mentor of the team alongside some other teammates that were brought up with him. Although he isn't a captain or alternate captain, Lose feels like he has to be a leader if he wants to be a good veteran for the team. This doesn't just include the on ice presence either. On top of being a helpful veteran on the ice, he has to be a veteran mentor for the new players off the ice too. It's a role that Lose isn't used to. Before Ray Sheilds retired he gave Lose some encouraging words and he passed the torch onto the new locker room veteran Justin Lose. Lose isn't the only one to carry this torch though. His teammates and friends that were drafted at the same time are all carrying the torch for the new look Riga squad. This is a new territory for Lose as he hasn't been on the same team for longer than 2 seasons. This includes his time in the juniors and the VHLM. Being a waiver pickup with the Philadelphia Reapers and then drafted to the Mexico City Kings the next season never gave Lose the chance to call somewhere a real home. These were just temporary homes en-route to the VHL. Although the teammates were very welcoming in both locker rooms, nothing compares to the hospitality of the VHL locker room. Now Riga Reign is the home for Justin Lose. He has a tall order to be the mature player and to not have any mistakes going forward. The new draftees or new signings will look at Lose for guidance. This includes even welcoming and making the new players into the locker room. "Riga holds a special place in my heart. Everyone was so nice when I got here after I was called up. Calvin Harvey was the first player to call me when I got drafted and then he was the first player to welcome me in the locker room. It's kind of weird going from the rookie of the team to the locker room veteran. I hope I can be as helpful as my teammates were when I joined the team. I don't want to let anyone down or exclude anyone. All the pressure is on me on and off the ice, I won't let the Riga franchise down."
  11. The VHL draft has just concluded and Riga has walked away with 5 new prospects to add to their already deep pool. The Riga Reign are so excited to welcome: Milk Jugs, Anze Miklavz, Tobias Reinhart, Pippo Coca, Ron Gorgonzola, Johnny Macintosh and Jyuunya Pureya Oneri Desu. Milk Jugs - D - 205 TPE - 10th Overall A motivated Defenseman that has some room to grow in the VHLM next season. Jugs had a good season production wise and a very solid 18 +/- rating. Jugs was even a 6 +/- rating during 7 playoff games. Has potential to be a top pairing D on the Riga squad in the future. Anze Miklavz - RW - 245 TPE - 15th Overall Another motivated player who had a stellar offensive season with the struggling Mexico City Kings. Miklavz might even be able to make the jump to the VHL if they impress the Riga GM during training camp. They might have a lower role in the beginning but has a wicked upside and could be a top 6 forward in the future. Tobias Reinhart - G - 148 TPE - 32nd Overall The first goalie of the draft for the Riga squad. With Harvey getting older the search for the next starter is starting to begin. An outstanding VHLM goalie stats caught the attention of the Riga squad. If Reinhart can match those numbers in the VHL they will be unstoppable. Pippo Coca - C - 128 TPE - 45th Overall A quieter center in the VHLM who has flown under the radar to have Riga snag them. Coca has a long way to go if they want to make the VHL squad but has the tools to do so after being drafted. Ron Gorgonzola - D - 93 TPE - 53rd Overall Even though the stats aren't incredible, Gorgonzola has shown they have room to improve. The VHLM will be a great place for them to grow and get into an unbelievable defensive game. Johnny Macintosh - LW - 85 TPE - 55th Overall Not much to say but they had a taste of VHLM playoffs with the San Diego Marlins squad and will be hungry for more in the upcoming season. Has a lot of upside and will take some time before hitting the VHL squad. Jyuunya Pureya Oneri Desu - D - 98 TPE - 56th Overall The final Riga pick in the draft is the biggest project in terms of growth. They only had a handful of games in the VHLM so they will have a lot more time to grow next season. Has some playoff experience as well so they will hopefully have some motivation going into the next season.
  12. The VHL draft is upon us and the excitement is in the air. The Riga Reign squad doesn't own their own first round pick though. They do have 2 first round picks from trades during the season which are the 10th and the 15th pick. The Riga GM has said that they are not interested in trading their first round picks in the draft. Riga also has some deeper picks with 7 more picks in the later round with 3 of those in the 4th round. Riga has 2 second round picks where Justin Lose was drafted back in Season 75. We wanted to get an inside look on what the draft is like for a player, so we caught up with Justin Lose to get a word in. "You watch your teammates and friends be chosen before you or after you. The wait is the worst part. You work hard all season long and it call comes down to what the teams GM thought of your draft interview. The rundown for the draft is the following: You get a draft interview with the top teams saying they are interested in drafting you and they want to know what you can bring to the table. Wildcard teams send interviews with the hope that you will fall to them. There is an optional physical test in front of all of the VHL GMs and if you are in the VHLM some of the VHLM GMs will be present too. This is a great place to really shine in front of a future GM. The waiting begins after you finish your interviews / test. You wait for your name to be called and make your way to the media frenzy afterwards. You don't get to relax until the draft is over. You have to do media for the league. Then the team media rolls up to get a few words in. Finally some local fans will try to get autographs and pictures. My draft was very stressful with being drafted in the 2nd round. You don't get that buzz of the first round pick so everyone isn't in a hurry to interview you. It was fairly easy for me to slip by reporters. The welcome I received by the Riga Reign was unmatched. I felt at home immediately. I couldn't wait to make the squad after talking to the Riga media team. I even got a call from one of the Riga players congratulating me and welcoming me. Personally I hope that everyone who gets drafted has a great night. Enjoy yourself. It's your accomplishments being displayed tonight. Don't let it get to you if you aren't drafted in the 1st round. Use it as motivation to be that gem for your team. And to the future Riga players, welcome to the squad! You may never know who will give you a call on draft night!" The VHL draft party in Riga has already started and they are pumped to see the future. Stop by the arena for some fun and games before the watch party. You might even get a chance to see some of the current Riga Reign players and get autographs / photos taken!

  14. 1. Playing video games and eating pizza! (And the gym I guess) 2. Oh yeah. He is amazing. 3. I think Seattle might do a blockbuster trade to stay at the top of the mountain. 4. No doubt about it. He is legit insane. 5. Beck - Loser 6. A back massager. It's a lifesaver on some nights.
  15. Oh hai me. 1. Not really. It's not our team next season so its kinda pointless. 2. Relaxing after a hard fought season. 3. I think Seattle is going to surprise Helsinki. 4. Next season is going to be a very different season. Most of the responsibility will be on our shoulders. I can't wait to finally get 1st line minutes. 5. Avatar the last airbender. No comments. 6. Technically to make a sound the vibrations have to be received by an eardrum. So on a technicality I would say no only because if no one is there to receive the vibrations it will just die out.
  16. RIGA REIGN PRESS CONFERENCE Not the AGM Edition! Week Ending 05/09 1. The VHL Lottery Tournament is over. We don't have our first round pick. Do you care about the stats from the tournament? 2. What are you looking forward to in the offseason? 3. Seattle vs Helsinki in the cup finals. Who do you think is taking home the cup? 4. We just had a bunch of our Season 75 players resign. Does that get you excited about next season? 5. What is the worst movie you have ever seen? 6. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
  17. Justin Lose has signed a 3 season contract extension last week. We were told that talks didn't start until the end of the season. His contract will now expire at the end of Season 80. Lose, who is going into his 3rd VHL season, is looking to bounce back after a disappointing season with the Riga squad. This is the first time that Lose has missed the VHL playoffs as he made it into the play-in last season. We spoke with Justin Lose after he signed the contract. "It was obvious that I resign with Riga. After the season ended the GM contacted me and we had very positive talks. We came to a fair agreement and I instantly signed it. It seems that some of my fellow teammates did the same too. I told the media that I was going to bring a cup back to Riga and I will do my damn hardest to make that happen. If that means taking a pay-cut now, so be it. I want to win."
  18. Yes, this is an actual roller coaster. I built it on a livestream and was going to post a time-lapse but it didn't save (I guess I ran out of space). So I present to you, the Season 77 Riga Reign Ride. Featuring: A 60MPH Launch - To signify that we were going to be competitive quickly after last season. A Tophat into a Beyond 90 Degree Drop- To signify our hopes dropping after a bad start to the season An Immelmann into a Barrel Roll Drop - Cause our season was very disorienting A Speed Hill - A glimpse of hope that soon faded A Zero G Roll - Trade deadline madness and finally... A Dive Loop into the Final Brake Run - Almost made it to the playoffs but fell short and our season ended early. An Overall View of the ride and area surrounding it: POV: Well that's a VHL first. It took me 30 mins just to format this beast. Hope you enjoyed our pain and suffering.
  19. When Lose is doing well in the tourney but we don't have our first pick.
  20. 1. It sucks being that close and missing playoffs. Never done the lottery tournament and especially since we don't have our 1st round pick I don't know what to do in the tourney. 2. I'd say Sheilds did a great job after a lackluster performance from the squad this season. 3. I can see that happening. Warsaw didn't really have a great end to the season so im curious if they are going to go far. 4. Husky and a cat. The smallest fluff ball. 5. Batman for the obvious reason that he is the most badass. 6. I'd say potatoes are the only good ones.
  21. Locker cleanout was today for the Riga Reign after a failure to qualify for the Season 77 VHL playoffs. Riga missed out of the playoffs by two points. Only 1 point would have missed the playoffs too since Malmo Nighthawks held the tie-break for overall wins with 31 vs a theoretical 30 for Riga. In their final 4 games of the season, of which they needed to win all 4, only won 3. The heartbreaking defeat to Warsaw was the final straw to break before the collapse of the Riga playoff hopes. The mood in the locker room was very somber. No one was really talking and it was mostly interpersonal conversations. The group said their final goodbyes for the season and held a little ceremony for Ray Sheilds congratulating him on an amazing VHL career before he heads off to retirement. The offseason brings many questions for the Riga squad with a majority of its players needing contracts. We shall see how the squad forms during the offseason.
  22. Week 4 claim. Final week.
