  1. Jonas Schweinsteiger (JS for short) is still brand new to the league. He doesn’t have much to show for himself yet, but he’s been absolutely on point as far as now. JS has managed to rack up 15 assists in his 10 game stent with the Kings, showing he has an extremely good passing game. Along side this are his 21 hits and 15 shot blocks showing he isn’t afraid to get down and dirty and do what’s needed to be done to get the win. While Mexico City hasn’t been known for their winning ability this season, the defensive core has done a miraculous job with what they have. With a short roster, JS is getting extremely lengthy playing minutes in each game, however, he still presses on trying his best with every last stride. Pros: • Excellent passing game, he’s still new and already putting up crazy point totals per game showing he is a future phenom to be watched closely • Excellent stamina, JS is only ½ defenders on the Kings, getting more playing minutes then the average player yet he still manages to put up competitive numbers • JS is extremely active in the locker room, and always makes himself available to help out teammates and inspire the guys before a game • While he has no goals, JS has 12 shots in 10 games showing he’s still able to push past the opposition and get a shot off • Zero giveaways, JS is extremely accurate with his passing and has decent agility allowing him to keep the puck away from the opposition Cons: • Penalty minutes, while JS is nowhere near the leaders in penalty minutes, he is spending too much time in the box with 12 PIM in 10 games • While JS is willing to block shots, he hasn’t blocked near as many as the team was hoping for • Late to the team, JS was a late addition to the team, so for this draft, there isn’t enough data to show his consistency as of yet • Slap shot, JS still has no goals to show for himself, he still needs to put some work in on his slap shot so he can start to put the puck in the net in key moments when we need him So, as you can see, JS is still incredibly nee to the league, but it seems he’s found his footing quite easily and we can expect to see some big things from this rookie in the near future!
  2. You look around the league and you see the same commonality in all of the logos......They all reflect their city or team in some way. But when it comes to Mexico City’s logo, that isn’t the case. When you look at the Mexico City logo it looks to be an indigenous chief, holding the letters that spell out the team name. Nothing to do with Mexico. Mexico needs a new logo that reflects the rich culture of Mexico, something that makes sense. The colour scheme of the team are fine as is, but we need a more representative logo. This logo just doesn’t sit in line with the rest of the logos in the league.
  3. 1. With the VHL draft nearing, what round/pick do you think your player will go? I think I’ll end up going somewhere at the end of the draft in the last round, I’m still new, haven’t had time to show off my skill 2. Now that the season is coming to a close, what do you think your players greatest strength has been? I’ve been really good with my passing game. I rarely go a game without getting atleast 1 assist 3. Where has your player improved the most since the beginning of the season? I haven’t had much time to improve anything yet. 4. What has been your fondest memory of your time with the Kings organization? the guys are great. The locker rooms always a fun, easy going place to unwind after a tough game. 5. Do you feel your player is ready for the VHL? Explain in one or more sentences. I feel like I could definetely use some more time in Mexico, but I’m always ready for a challenge 6. What is one thing you plan on working on with your player during the off-season to get him/her in shape for next season? I really want to get my defensive game up. I can get assists relatively easy but I need to be more willing and ready to block shots and help out the goalie
  4. Idk what I can say to do this media spot Justice. Outstanding job. Incredibly insightful. I love the unique concept of this article, especially the different perspectives. This article was also perfectly organized into an easily readable fashion. Not a single thing I can say against this article. Perfect 10/10
  5. Love this graphic a lot! Seamless addition of the logo. Great choice of render with a good colour scheme. Cool additions of the stats, haven’t seen that yet. One recommendation would to be to do something more interesting with the font. Great job! 9/10
  6. Couldn’t upload the file (too big) and couldn’t compress it enough. So here’s a link to the logo! https://ibb.co/dK72GPc

  9. Love the idea of giving your retired player a continuing story line! Thought it was nice and detailed. This media spot was easy to follow and extremely creative, hopefully well here more about Greg's fighting journey! 10/10
  10. I really like this graphic. I think its great that you've decided to go classy and do black and white. The font is super cool too. Great graphic!! 10/10
  11. Im new here, so Im still learning about the league, and how its run and set up. But after looking around and digging a bit, it seems some of the lower teams in the VHLM, also happen to have incredibly small rosters, while other teams in the VHLM, have almost twice the players. Now i get it wouldn't be easy to decide, and its supposed to be offer based, but when there are roster gaps like this, i think the league should automatically work to try and balance the rosters or at least help the teams that have less than 10 players, and maybe give them players from teams that have larger rosters. Doing this would accomplish two things: make it more fun for the guys on the small teams Create better competition No one gets satisfaction from winning if one of the main reasons their winning is because the teams their playing have half the roster, people like to win competitively, and balancing rosters could help complete that,
  12. Jonas was born in Dusseldorf, Germany on December 7, 2002. When Jonas was 2 years old, the family moved to Toronto, Canada after Jonas's father, Hans, got a job offer overseas. For the first few years, the Schweinsteiger family wanted to try their best to embrace the local culture and try new things to help them fit in. At the age of 4, Jonas expereinced his first hockey game when his father bought them tickets to see the Toronto Maple Leafs. After the game had ended, Jonas was hooked. He could not get the idea of hockey out of his head. After begging his father repeatedly for months, Jonas was given his first pair of skates and enrolled in a hockey school for complete beginners. Jonas was extremely quick to learn how to skate and within months he was put into a junior hockey program. The junior hockey program was called the Mississauga Reps. In Mississauga, Jonas began his playing career as a forward. In his first year he improved his skating ability exponentially and could skate circles around the rest of the kids. After a few years with the Reps, Jonas decided he wanted to switch his position after realizing h wasn't very good with scoring goals. After a talk with his coach, Jonas was put on defence and began his journey with his new position. By the time Jonas was 12, he was one of the lead defenders in the GTHL and people were starting to talk. At the age of 15, Jonas was noted for his size (6'3") and rumours were starting to fly around about potentially being drafted to the OHL. The following year, at the age of 16, Jonas was drafted into the OHL by the Hamilton Bulldogs. Being drafted to the Bulldogs was an absolute dream come true for Jonas, he often thought back to when he was a young kid, new to Canada, watching his very first hockey game. In his first season with the Bulldogs, Jonas was remarkably talented and held his own extremely well to the point where people were always talking about him, and he was starting to make headlines around the hockey community. By the end of his first season he led the team in blocked shots, and was only ranked 7th in assists. Going into the next season, there were already talks about Jonas moving up to the VHLM, but it would all come down t how he performed in this season. Throughout the season, Jonas was a phenom, you could not get past him.... No one could. He was a brick wall on defence, and with his help, the Bulldogs went on to win the J Ross Robertson Cup and then the Memorial Cup. This was enough to cement Jonas's chances of being drafted into the VHLM, and over the summer, in the second round, Jonas was drafted to the Mexico City Kings of the VHLM.
  13. 1. Im still new here, but i've looked through some of the records and it seems like we've been doing well since Bastian arrived, hopefully we get some more wins! 2. So far, the GM and AGM have been helpful and welcoming, couldn't ask for more 3. I haven't played a game yet, so it's hard to say, but I'm hoping my puck handling can get us through some tough spots. 4. Honestly, it would be an honour if i could even get picked, coming into the league this late in the season. 5. It seems like the main reason the teams struggled so far is the lack of players on the roster, hopefully my addition will be able to help some! 6. He's always flying back and forth to Germany on breaks! Cant get enough sausage LOL
