  1. I really like the three-dee graphics you pull off, it is a bit of fresh air... in this case, I think it a little awkward to zoom in to Trillers 'crownjewels'...
  2. I mean Scotty could not hit to save his life. He only had 191 hits in 577 career games, i.e. one hit every three games. In the playoffs he was a bit tougher though, with around a hit per game
  3. Scotty who? JK, it is comforting for me that the arguably best player ever to grace VHL ice, is Swiss born.
  4. yeah, it is one of these weird thingies which can only be passed down to a male child. Women can be carrier of the genome, but will never show the symptoms (like colourblindness for example)...
  5. It doesn't, it is inseperable tied to the dadjokitis you acquired...
  6. not to speak of my marked cards on the roulette table
  7. And if they do not you get banned from their premises for counting cards (even if you played crabs).
  8. Maybe you need to write an article longer than 250 words to be considered... smh
  9. I am really sorry to have left @a_Ferk in the unenviable position he was put in. Having said that, I did genuinely not expect that things would be as dire as they turned out to be. I took over the Hounds in a similar position when I started as their GM (a literally empty roster and only late picks in the draft), but was lucky enough to get some waiver players, which were either kept or flipped for assets. The Hounds sold the future in S84, as we were always in the top two in the league and with a little more depth, we could make the push for the title (or so I thought). Which did not happen, of course. Serves me well for not sticking to my principle to not trade away picks.
  10. Graphic courtesy of Leandrofg (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) Calgary was eliminated in six games, after Chicago's landslide game of the last match. Please find our summary as per below. 1-7 The teams were neck-to-neck in most of the statitistics, with maybe a slight advantage for the Wranglers, given their record to pull themselves out of the mire and just outscore the opposition during this past regular season. Alas it was not to be. Chicago's first goal in the game by Sundin was a bad portent for things to come for the Wranglers. But, hey they have trailed one goal this season before, so nothing to worry about, right? Right? In the second frame, Skates and Schubbekuteveen increased the lead to three-nothing. At this stage, the Wranglers lead in shots 27-24, but just could not convert their opportunities. In the final period, Kotkakoivu put the Wranglers finally on the board, before the hand for the seconds finished it's first revolution. There is still hope, almost twenty minutes left, with two goals down. That is doable, the hope is still alive. However, former Wrangler Lazeski with a power play marker, sophomore winger Daniels, Butts with an other goal on the man advantage and Bob extinguished the kindling of a comeback with their clockwork scoring. Skates (1g/3a), Bob (1g/2a) and Butts (1g/2a) were named the three stars of the night. Dahl (.829) was not having a stellar night and was bested by Pearce (.974) in Chicago's net. However, the loss must not be pinned to the netminder. One cannot reasonably expect to win a game, by only scoring one goal. Both Calgary special teams wet their bed with 0/6 power play and 3/5 penalty kill and contributed heavily to the early exit. Marcel had 0g, 1a, -1 and 1sb Daniel was noted with 0g, 0a, -3, 2 PIM (Roughing, penalty was killed off) and 50.00FO% The final stats for the Janser brothers for the playoffs reads as follows: Marcel: 6gp, 0g, 3a, 3pts, -4, 4 PIM, 0 hits, 4sb, 0gwg, 0ppg Daniel: 6gp, 2g, 9a, 11pts, +3, 14 PIM, 16 hits, 2sb, 0gwg, 0ppg, 1shg, 54.37FO% Stay tuned for further updates on the Jansers. https://vhlforum.com/topic/127819-a-tale-of-two-brothers-a-little-ebb/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/128227-a-tale-of-two-brothers-dirty-deeds-done-dirt-cheap/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/128286-a-tale-of-two-brothers-games-for-the-na-throne/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/128454-a-tale-of-two-brothers-ready-to-rumble/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/128491-a-tale-of-two-brothers-facing-the-season-end/ GM 21: Calgary Wranglers vs. Chicago Phoenix (vhlportal.com) uncapped package 1/5

  12. It was literally the first Gif which showed up when I entered 'Ice Cream', it looked like home-made, potentially neapolitan Icecream, so I chose this one
  13. Wanted to say exactly the same. Gg Chicago.
  14. Ah I forgot that these are a thing, I think I never had any of them ever
  15. what flavour do rainbows have (and do not tell me something like 'rainbow' or 'colourful')...
  16. Ok this is a day late and a dollar short. Thanks for the shoutout. Now to your question: the German 'J' is nothing more than a glorified (and a little stretched) 'I'. The 'A' is pronounced more like the 'U' in 'pun'. So in English, you would probably pronounce it as if it was written 'Yunser' (like in 'yankee')
  17. Well 'lilt' is an English word, however the one I was looking for 'lisp'.
  18. You know there is quality content if it starts with 'I am (enter sexual orientation and/or preferred gender)....
  19. Graphic courtesy of Leandrofg (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) The series against Chicago promises to be an interesting one, as the series is now at a 3-2 advantage for Chicago. Here are the summaries of the three games played in the interim. 6-1 For the first time in these playoffs the Wranglers took the lead, when they defeated a desolate Chicago outfit 6-1. Phoenix' star-center Scotty Sundin opened the score with the only goal in the first period. The second frame was clearly Calgary's as Wolanin, Tessier, GoodBrandSun (with an 'AirRig-Special', i.e. a power play goal). The veteran back profited from a game misconduct call for instigating against Sundin. The Swedish forward dropped the gloves against Strasmore and won the fight, but lost the battle. Tessier with a brace shut completed the score for the middle third. Hattrick for the retiring Frenchman. We are three games into the playoffs and this is already the most goals the center has scored in a single post season ever. In the final period GoodBrandSun with an other one of his trademark power play goals accounted for the final score. Tessier (3g/0a), Janser (0g/4a) and GoodBrandSun (2g/0a) were named the three stars of the night. Dahl (.976) had the clear advantage over his opposite number Pearce (.870). The Wranglers' power play was decent (2/6) while the penalty kill was impeccable (3/3). Marcel was noted with 0g, 1a, +2 and 2sb. Daniel had 0g, 4a, +2, 4 PIM (Hooking and Roughing, no change on the score), 7 hits and 57.14FO%. 1-4 Back to square one after that match when Chicago beat Calgary in a 4-1 victory. After a goalless first period, Sundin broke the spell, Wolanin with a power play marker tied the game again, before Daniels scored a short handed goal. In the third frame, Nano with a pair of goals on the power play put the nails into the coffin. The three stars were given to Nano (2g/1a), Pearce (26 saves) and Sundin.(1g/1a). Dahl (.895) had no chance against Pearce (.963) in the goalie duel. Calgary's power play was anemic (1/7) while the penalty kill just did not perform well at all either (2/4). Marcel had a 0g, 0a and -1 record. Daniel achieved 0g, 1a, -1, 4 PIM (Hooking both times and both times the penalty was converted), 3 hits, 1sb and 40.00FO%. 4-2 In a heartbreak match, the Wranglers lost game 5 to the Phoenix 4-2. The elder Janser brother was the first to score, while playing a man down (AirRig was serving a minor for Hooking). Nano caused an icing call and Dan won the face off in Chicago's zone. Via Jokinen and Wolanin the puck ended back with the Swiss Center who buried the disc top shelf. The second period started with an altercation between Wolanin and Johansson with an ambiguous result and both players sent to cool off for five minutes. Butts then scored on the power play (Dan was in the Sinbin) to tie the game. Bob brought Chicago ahead in the third, before GoodBrandSun marked a goal on the man advantage. Box with yet an other power play marker and Daniels into the empty net sealed the deal in favour of Chicago. Pearce (49 saves), Janser (1g/1a) and Box (1g/0a) awarded the three stars of the match. While Dahl's performance was not bad (.900), Pearce (.961) was dragging his team kicking and screaming across the finish line. Calgary's power play was decent (1/3) but the box play left much to be desired (2/4). Marcel left the ice with a 0g, 0a, -2 and 1sb record. Daniel had 1g, 1a, +1, 2 PIM (Roughing, was converted), 3 hits and 42.50FO% to his name. The Jansers show the following stats for this offseason: Marcel: 5gp, 0g, 2a, 2pts, -3, 4 PIM, 0 hits, 3sb, 0gwg, 0ppg, 0shg Daniel: 5gp, 2g, 9a, 11pts, +6, 12 PIM, 16 hits, 2sb, 0gwg, 0ppg, 1shg, 55.24FO% Was this the begin of the end? Will the Wranglers recover from this blow to morale? Stay tuned for our update. https://vhlforum.com/topic/127819-a-tale-of-two-brothers-a-little-ebb/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/128227-a-tale-of-two-brothers-dirty-deeds-done-dirt-cheap/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/128286-a-tale-of-two-brothers-games-for-the-na-throne/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/128454-a-tale-of-two-brothers-ready-to-rumble/ GM 9: Calgary Wranglers vs. Chicago Phoenix (vhlportal.com) GM 13: Calgary Wranglers vs. Chicago Phoenix (vhlportal.com) GM 17: Chicago Phoenix vs. Calgary Wranglers (vhlportal.com)
