BSN - It takes a lot to be the biggest, baddest, toughest player on the ice. It's a different kind of player that comes with a whole new kind of territory when it comes to playing the game and being on the ice. You might not even be just there for this option. You might add a scoring or defensive touch as well, but you never, never shy away from dropping the mitts and defending yours or your teammates honour. We hate it but we absolutely love it. It's a tough thing to have in our game that debatably should be policed more but come on, is there anything better than the gloves dropping, the crowd roaring and the fists flying? It's pretty damn tough to beat! For Season 90's regular season tilts to get underway, it took all the way until game 9 between the Seattle Bears and New York Americans where Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg and Tord Yvel @Trazan fought to a draw in the 1st period of player. Despite the spirited battle between the two players, the fight was a draw and we were unsuccessful in beginning the S90 Championship Title ____ at this time. Stop the watch, twist the crown and jump forward 3 games to game 12 between Helsinki Titans and the Malmo Nighthawks.
First Fight of the Season:
Game 9: NYA / SEA - Tord Yvel and Leandro Goncalves (D)
@Trazan @leandrofg
First Fight Win of the Season:
Game 12: HSK / MAL - Mo Probert beats up Rick Grimes

MO PROBERT
Key Statistics: CK (87), ST (97), FI (59)
I think it's fairly fitting for the first ever Ice Chips Champion to be crowned to dawn the last night Probert after the mighty and tough NHL bully of the Detroit Red Wings, Bob Probert. Are they related? We're guessing that something is there, but we're not entirely too sure at the moment. We're currently awaiting some tests results from Ancestryvhl.va and a response from the player agent or player themselves (we're actually not). Besides that, Probert is a tough customer that is consistently putting it on display night after night. Big bodied, ex-defender turned forward, that delivers a mean punishing hit or fist to the face with their 6'6", 215 pound freight train sized frame, 87 Checking, 97 Strength and 59 Fighting.
There is no champion better than one who is able to defend their throne, crown and title and that is exactly what Mo Probert has been up to this season. Being the first ever VHL Ice Chips Champion must be having MoPro feeling high because he's not quite ready yet to give up the crown and we're not sure he's going to be giving it up any time soon either. This is very impressive and so was the partner Probert decided to dance with. Huge props to that and both players! Tough cookies. Not backing down and not taking the easy challenge to be champion. Mo Probert and Phil Strasmore of the Calgary Wranglers ended up tangling in a tilly in game 101 of the season between MAL / CGY.

1. If a champion has not fought within 20 (28.5% roughly) games of their last fight, they relinquish their title immediately following the game and the next victor of a VHL fight will be crowned the next champion.
2. The Ice Chips Heavyweight Championships runs from the first sim of the season up until the last sim of the regular season. A champion cannot lose their title in the playoffs and no fights, matches or statistics will be recorded or counted. In the future, maybe one day there is more. For now, this is it!
3. A champion will carryover their championship into the off-season until are retiring from their careers. However, the carryover reduces the fight time inactvity to 50%. If the Champion doesn't fight within the first 10 games, it will be be immediately relinquished and the next victor of a VHL fight will be crowned the next champion.
How do the Standings work?

Hopefully anyone and everyone who took the time to check this out enjoyed it! It was a lot of fun doing myself and I think will be a project I will continue doing moving forward as it's something easy, fun and engaging to talk about. If at any time you have any suggestions on rules, ex: how long without a fight before you give up a title? etc can be open for debate and all of that stuff. May the VHL heavyweight reign long and tough... whoever they may be!!
Review: I really like this graphic and I also like a lot how you did the logo swap, it really feels natural.
For the colors I know it can be hard to find a team with the exact same colors of malmo, but I think it ended up well even if those are not the "real" colors of the jersey that the player is wearing.
Overall the graphic is really well done and I think that it deserve a solid 8 out of a 10, keep it up with the good work buddy.
A rundown about the Malmo Nighthawks for their S89 season, post-season, and what the near future holds for the team. Featuring Nighthawks GM @KaleebtheMighty along side the player manger for the Nighthawks Top Defensemen Malum Maellard @frescoelmo and the player manager for Nighthawks Starting Goaltender Ash Sparks @DarkSpyro.
The blur on the background of the graphic really helps the player pop out and the shadow on the font allows the name to be read much more easily. I like that you chose to make it a signature and the number is nicely spaced away from the letters in the name. The logo warp is just super awesome and the color swap onto the jersey and onto the helmet works well too. If I were to change anything, I'd just make it further Helsinki-themed by making the background more blue-tinted or monochrome to fit into the color scheme. 8/10
Old hands of the league have surely been waiting for this but for any youngin’s out there that aren’t aware July 18th, 2007 is the day the VHL opened. That means today marks the league's official 16th birthday. Our little league can officially drive! Fucking wild. Anyway, it’s been an absolute wild time over the past 16 years but we know you all didn't click on this to read about how fucking ancient I am. You came in for the TPE and I intend on delivering it!
To commemorate the league's 16th birthday, we are giving all members a Triples Week, which adds 12 Uncapped TPE to any 6-TPE Point Task (Welfare/Pension/Affiliate PT are not included but as usual if your pay covers your PT that counts), as well as 4 Uncapped TPE. To claim these perks, which naturally add up to 16 Uncapped TPE (aren’t we so clever) all you need to do is post in this thread and then link to that post in your update; that's it! No scavenger hunt, no clues, no catches! Do a PT, make one post, and the sweet TPE is all yours.
That’s not all though! We’re gonna also put everyone who claims this birthday TPE into a draw for even more TPE, we know what you all like after all. At the end of this season we’ll draw for 16 prizes of 10 more uncapped TPE each.
So, to summarize quickly, that's 16 uncapped TPE just for commenting and doing a PT with the possibility of even more later curtesy of the VHL. All you have to do is post in here and you're good to go!
Notes:
• This thread will remain open until 11:59PM PST on Monday, July 24th.
• All claims for the birthday bonus must be made by the end of the playoffs this season.
• Birthday perks may only be claimed on one player per member (IE if you are re-creating you can't claim them on your current player, re-create, and claim them again, pick one or the other).
