Great listen, I wish you did them more frequently! I’m also pretty confident you’ll defeat the Rush. -

1. 13 games into the season who has been our most valuable player? PP: Without a doubt, Mikey Markov. The guy is one of the biggest offensive threats in the league, and is the only reason I've personally had any offensive success. 2. The team only has three wins to this point and are bound to have many changes as the youth movement happens! How excited are you to be the next big core in Miami? PP: It's pretty good I guess! Without the pressure to win I don't feel too much pressure to perform that great this season, which is nice because this is my first full season ever playing competitive hockey, so I'm still learning lots... 3. Captain Markov is leading the team in points with 22 in 13 games! Is he the right man for the job going forward? PP: Yeah, he absolutely had my vote! I really hope he can stay down with us next season to carry us to a Founder's victory. 4. What do you want to achieve this season on and off the ice? PP: I just want to continue to learn how to actually play hockey. Jardy just says to keep feeding the forwards, so I guess getting assists are good. He also wants me to dive in front of as many pucks as I can, of which there have been plenty of opportunities to do so. I guess I'm learning?

CHICAGO (JP) - The VHL is just under a third of the way into the season, and they are finally starting to pull away from the playoff logjam that is happening in the North American conference, and are settling in comfortably at #2 behind the Seattle Bears. The Phoenix were many people's favourites to win a Continental Cup this year, and its easy to see why. Most of their players are in their prime, including the league's current leading scorer, Lee Xin. In addition, they arguably have the best defensive core in the league, with reigning Valiq Trophy winner Spencer Elsby joining a team that already featured Matty Socks, and the dynamic duo of L and R. However, the real X-factor of Chicago's Cup chances this year may lie further down the depth chart, with rookie defenceman @Sportsboy57. At the moment, the big American possible robot isn't seeing much ice time with all the veteran talent in front of them. As such, he has yet to register a point thus far in his rookie campaign, though his +7 is above average for the team, and his Hits and Shots Blocked totals rival that of R, who generally plays 15 more minutes per game. But it isn't the rookie's statistics that could push the Phoenix to a Continental Cup victory this season, but his winning tenacity. You see, in the three seasons Sportsboy57 has completed since entering the VHL system, he has won a Championship in two of them. The first was in his rookie VHLM season in S75 with the Philadelphia Reapers, and the second was last season with the Miami Marauders. Clearly, the synthetic has a knack for winning Championships, which is something the Chicago franchise has been looking to add more of since winning the Continental Cup in S76. A Cup victory this season could spell huge dollar signs for Sportsboy57, as the rookie will be a free agent in the off-season. Proving that he is a lucky charm and a Championship lock this season would make him a hot commodity in the open market. Until then, never count out the Chicago Phoenix, as they can always rise from the ashes. Especially with a little luck. - Plenty of words

Ah, a boring voice, GOT IT Actually you should try @Tate's podcasts for that as well, he is a soothing fellow to listen to. I reckon he should quit his job to become an adult bedtime story narrator.

Ahmacast episode 3, guest Gorlab. Listen or Perish.
JardyB10 replied to Ahma's topic in Archived Podcasts
I finally got a chance to finish listening to this. I got through the first 20-30 minutes a couple weeks ago and the audio fucked up and I had to reload. I thought scrubbing through the audio on Anchor was impossible on the mobile browser, but turns out it’s actually only NEARLY impossible. Anyway, was a great listen! I’m with Tate in that Gorlab sounded different than I expected. He has such a deep intimidating voice, whereas I thought that he might have been a prepubescent boy back when he joined the VHL, and would have had a normal voice these days . I also love me some Fudd’s, I don’t go nearly enough. Used to be a pseudo go-to hangover spot. Now I kind of want to get drafted to Davos to get Ahma his gd purple Cup! -
Thank you for the update Phlip! Always a pleasure to listen. It’s bonkers how competitive NA is. I’m rooting for Calgary to come out favourably

And a flattering mention it was!

Sounds like a hell of a whirlwind, pun intended! Glad to hear you're weathering it though. Where did you go to school?

I could be mistaken, but I think Clegane was my only non-Canadian player. I didn't win in WC very much though.

Great listen, very well structured and spoken! Cologne is in Germany, and they got a team because the founder, @Kendrick, is a known kraut of the illest repute.
