  1. @Josh. Thanks for all the opportunity you gave me in Yukon!
  2. As we all know Latvian goaltender Clayton Park is one of the top goalie prospects in the upcoming VHL draft. Clayton recently decided he was going to push hard to play in the VHL this season instead of the VHLM. This will be a huge loss for the Yukon Rush as they will loose an elite VHLM goaltender. Here’s what Clayton had to say after deciding to pursue the VHL route earlier then expected. “ Being a VHL starter is the end goal and I feel this gives me the best opportunity. I understand I am almost guaranteed to be the backup but I feel I can learn a lot from the starter. Also I believe the goalie coaches at the VHL level will be able to challenge me more and lead me in the right direction. I had a great time playing in Yukon as they have a great bunch of guys and I wish them nothing but the best. I am looking forward to draft day to find out where my future lies”. Clayton had this to say when asked what is goals are for his VHL career. “As previously mentioned being a starter in the VHL is my main goal. My second largest goal is to win a Continental Cup! That has always been a dream of mine and I plan to help my team win the cup!! Another big goal I want to achieve is being awarded the Aidan Shaw Trophy for top goaltender at some point through my career. My last goal is to register 10 shutouts in a single season. That last one might be tricky but I’m up for the challenge”. Turn in to the upcoming VHL draft to see who drafts Latvian goaltender Clayton Park!
  3. Review: Great bio, over 1000 words and well written. Some color or titles might be a good addition next time. Also your photo was out of place. Overall you did a great job and it was a interesting bio. Best of luck with your VHL career!
  4. Review: Overall, a great bio that looked very appealing. However, one or two more photos would have made this bio even better. This was well written and I can defiantly see you put time and effort into this. Great job and good luck with your career.
  5. Review: Very well written bio and I found it quite interesting. I also enjoy the addition of photos, however I feel some titles or color could make this bio even better. Overall, great job and good luck with your career!
  6. Review: I really liked this bio and found it to be a lot more unique then most. The pictures and titles made the bio look very nice. Also I really enjoyed the quotes and felt they made it more interesting. Great job and good luck with your career!
  7. Following Clayton Park’s rookie season & playoff loss to Minnesota, his future has yet to be determined. This offseason one of ten VHL teams will draft the young Latvian goaltender. Clayton is considered to be one of the top 2 goalies in the upcoming draft. However once drafted Clayton & the coaching staff will have a huge decision to make. Here are the 3 most likely options. Send him back to the VHLM for another season of development. Make him the backup goalie in the VHL & slowly prepare him for being a starter in the future. Make him a VHL starter and be patient as he grows into a elite goaltender. There’s no doubt this kid will be a decent VHL goalie someday but the big question is which one of these options give him the best chance at success? Clayton had this to say when asked about the draft and where he thinks he will play next season. “ Right now my main focus is getting drafted and seeing where I fit into their plan. I want to do what’s best for not only me but the future of the VHL organization that drafts me “.

  13. Team World faced off against the last place Team Asia in the quarterfinals to determine who would move on to the semis. Team World would end up winning this matchup that looked more like a shootout 6-3. Let’s take a look at some key points that led to this huge victory for Team World. Teagan Glover- This kid was on fire for Team World and earned himself the first star with 2 goals, 1 assist. Team World took a lot of penalties in this game but Glover continued to play disciplined hockey and stayed out of the box. Also he played strong on the penalty kill and didn’t give the power play opportunities to set up. Justin Cole- This young VHL goaltender battled hard all game and provided very few second chances. Cole stopped 29 of the 32 shots Team Asia threw his way. Shots- So we all know the famous Gretzky line “you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take”. This was Team Worlds game plan to throw everything at the net and make it a long night for Asian goaltender Tyler Smith. Team World put a total of 49 shots on Smith and capitalized on 6 of those opportunities. The coaches have to be happy with how their game plan resulted in a victory! Team World has punched their ticket to the Semifinals and will face off against the red hot Canadians!
