  1. Alright so if I say I'll recreate only if I can play for New York, they just have to sacrifice a second to get me? Plus it's not clear how active Komarov will be TPE-wise. It's up to the GM to get value out of his or her player. @Victor
  2. No, but Jarvi, Molholt, et al should not have gone to their respective teams for seconds rounders either. That's webcast makes it bs. Assure the timing is different a prospect is a prospect nonetheless.
  3. I wouldn't say it's emerging out of no where. I don't have the facts, but I'd guess Clegane was the second most picked after Wingate to win Top Goalie in S47 Maybe even in S46 as well. So it's more a case of the bandwagon not dying.
  4. New York always makes consecutive appearances is the finals when they make it. Toronto will have it's turn in S49.
  5. I will agree, though, I probably was trying to make it more than I should have. And I do take it personal because I put extra effort into it trying to make it potentially more engaging for anyone who would be interested in that. I wasn't trying to take anything away from anyone else, but people have an issue with allowing effort to equal a reward in this task I guess. So I'm doing more work because there were people who expressed that they liked having that option only to have some other people say they don't like it even though it really shouldn't affect them at all, because they don't have to do anything differently.
  6. I actually reduced the first place prize to 4 TPE and gave more people 2 TPE down the line so that it wouldn't be as punishing for the people who didn't want to spend more time on it. You don't have to spend a significant amount of time to see that a couple players are doing really well and PM a change.
  7. And I was just trying to make a side venture that was actually engaging on a weekly basis. It was only as much work as you chose to put into it though. And even those who weren't making any changes were doing fine, so I don't see how it's that big of a deal.
  8. Because you don't have to spend that 30 minutes researching who you switch in and out each week. Sure, that might put you at a disadvantage to others, but hey, isn't that how the league works? If I don't want to spend that 30 minutes writing a media spot, why should other people be able to in order to get TPE that I can't get? That's not fair and it makes the league un-fun!
  9. Well you'll be less likely to win, just as I'll be less likely to get into the Hall of Fame if I don't care to put in the effort to earn 9+ TPE/week. It's certainly still possible (Draper won the first season where roster changes were allowed, making no changes). As I was saying, though, I tried to make it into something that people could engage in. Obviously, not very many people cared enough to do so and were evidently discouraged by the fact that others could. I guess I fucked up.
  10. My goal for the fantasy league was to actually make it engaging, not just another TPE source for people. I was responding to someone questioning why the league stopped. Part of it was that I went inactive, but also I don't know if I would want to run a version of the fantasy league that I find shitty. If people enjoyed it in its basic state, there's no reason they should have enjoyed it any less when given more options. I suppose using a larger roster maybe you could have some problem with, but in its other iterations, you were never forced to make changes. It was an option I wanted to give people who would want to use it. Everyone was free to pick a roster and let it ride if that's what they chose to do.
  11. 1) I'm retired 2) People don't give a shit about the fantasy league they just like TPE
  12. Because I went inactive and the commissioners didn't make it happen.
  13. I pretty much changed it from season to season. Honestly, "pick six players and let it ride" is such a stupid thing in my opinion, especially if you're giving out 8 TPE to the winner. It's just a ton of luck. What I thought the point of the fantasy league was to actually engage people in the league. The thing is, people don't actually like engaging in the league that way. EDIT: To answer your question, it was confusing to people when I allowed them to change rosters weekly. As far as I know, that was it.
  14. you guys just suck Kendrick ignore this post because you can't take a joke
  15. Where do you stand on important issues like the decision that was made to take away a first round pick from Davos?
  16. When is the S48 trade deadline?
  17. I'll just guess brooks again though I'm less convinced, I just have no idea among the other three.
  18. Brooks was my guess before seeing options so I'll stick with it.
  19. One last chance? It'd probably be easier to make the Hall of Fame if you play two more seasons.
  20. Yeah but we sucked ass in the playoffs.
