  2. I cast my vote for Marcus Hurley.
  3. Maybe those teams didn't submit their captains.
  4. So what is it, the captains on teams with winning record get to be on the polls? Edit: Ignore me, I didn't see that was Seattle's players and not Calgary's on here. But what is up with these polls? Were other captains just not good enough for you? I don't get it.
  5. Here's a guy who didn't read the 4th post in this thread.
  6. Eaglesfan is on Calgary?
  7. I spent several seasons as GM of the New York Americans, and as a result of the time I spent with the team, I consider them to be the team in the VHL that I associate myself with the most. It may too be the case for several others that when they think of me, the Americans are the first team that come to mind. During my time as New York's GM, Greg Harbionson and the Seattle Bears were what some my call our rivals. Similar to my close link to the Americans is Greg's link to Seattle; however, his association with the Bears is much greater than mine is with the Americans, I would say. In fact, his member title is "Bear for life," as evidenced by this screenshot taken by someone named Stanando (a simple Google search of "Stanando" reveals that this mystery source is a dog with a blog). That Stanando, who I remind you is a dog according to Google, would proclaim that Greg is a bear would suggest that Greg might literally be a bear, which would be more shocking than the revelation that there is a dog in the VHL. Further proof to back the claim that Greg is an actual bear, unlike most of the rest of the VHL members who are actual humans, is that I am actually an American, not just an American. Greg is not just a Bear, but he is also a bear. Here is a picture of his head shot, which helped him secure the eponymous role in the hit movie Greg Finds Love. So what are your thoughts? Literal bear or not?
  8. I think we will finish in the VHL next season. Doomsday, Rockstar, Lynch, and I all have TPE. We have other players Plus who ever we add in inactive free agency is probably going straight to the Pro's. I feel we will be alive next season.
  9. The debate about the best VHLM franchise since expansion is a two-team discussion: Yukon or Bratislava? Sharing the distinction of being the youngest franchises in the VHLM, having joined in Season 31, these two teams have been phenomenal over the past 11 seasons. It's an incredible storyline, what the two expansion teams have done. You could say that it isn't unprecedented, however, this two-team dominated era in the VHLM; from Season 12 to Season 23, Brampton and Ottawa each won four cups (interestingly, I should note, these two teams never faced each other in the playoffs over these 12 seasons despite being in the same conference). But what makes this new era's storyline so compelling is that these two teams were both expansion teams. Not that the VHLM expansion teams had an early rough going like the VHL expansion teams, but it's interesting nonetheless. Yukon has made the playoffs now six times in their 11 seasons, reaching the finals each time. They have lost just one playoff series in their existence, that being to the Watchmen in Season 36, the only time these two teams have met in the playoffs. Bratislava is making their fourth trip to the finals in what is their sixth playoff appearance as well. They haven't lost a championship series yet. However, each Bratislava Founder's Cup has been immediately followed by a Rush Founder's Cup. Bratislava currently leads the series 1-0 after a dominating Game 1 victory. If they win, they will tie the Cup count with Yukon at four. Yukon looks to come back in the series and win their fifth Founder's Cup in 11 seasons, which would bring them to a tie for the third most. Whatever happens, this will be eight championships for the expansion teams in their 11 seasons of existence.

  11. Just two losses to Davos, and one to Toronto. But yeah, just two wins, but it's still a lot better than if they had just made it twice and won twice.
  12. Including S41, New York has been in 10 of the last 17 finals.
