  1. I always forget the 'h'. Thanks for the heads-up!
  2. Who is David Blind? Just recently, a new goalie entered the Season 41 draft class of the Victory Hockey League. He is a goaltender from the city of Maastricht, Netherlands, and has the potential to be a top star in this historic league. When it comes to net minders, general managers have a tough time assessing the impact that they may have, as well as reliability they can place in them. It is rare to find a franchise goalie. Can David Blind be that character? Scouts rave about his talent and know he has the work ethic to translate that talent into success in the crease. However, questions of his motivation have been asked as there are signs he may not stay interested in a professional hockey career for longer than a few seasons. Regardless of any questions there are surrounding this young man, he will most likely be selected in the draft and have a chance at proving he belongs in the VHL. The Dutch have a strong background of speed skating. Who is David Blind though? What can the VHL expect? Growing up in the Netherlands, David has a strong background of power skating. The Dutch are well known for their Olympic success in speed skating, so one may have thought that David would have pursued an ice hockey career as a forward or defenceman. Strangely enough, however, David took no interest in that side of the game. He always loved denying people so the position of goalie was the one that most suited his personality. Having always been a strong skater for his whole life, many may bemoan the fact that this skill will have gone to waste for a goalie. But, as the VHL will soon find out, David will still be able to utilize this strength in net. His coverage of the net is superb and he uses his powerful legs to push himself side-to-side with ease. It also allows him to remain in great position throughout the entire game, as well as eliminating any potential fatigue goalies generally feel. David will have all his angles covered. David is eager to get his ice hockey career started, as he feels he has a lot to prove. The VHL has seen few players from the Netherlands grace the ice so he is hoping he put a bit of a spotlight on himself for the betterment of Netherlands ice hockey exposure. The Dutch are quite open and blunt about their feelings, which could make for some interesting interviews and stories. There seems to be a growing protection surrounding players and expressing their views to stop any sort of public negativity towards any of the teams. David will make sure to abolish these constraints while revealing his true feelings regardless of worrying about who it might offend. This may cause some teams to think twice about selecting him in the draft, but at least they can rest assured that he won't be unreasonable - simply brutally honest. David will be brutally honest. Now that the word is out on his intentions to join the Season 41 VHL Entry Draft, both players and general managers are getting excited. Revealed in this short article is a bit about what one can expect from David and how he can impact the VHL. Before long there should be a ton written about him as his stock increases towards draft day. Will David be able to cope with these growing expectations? In a recent interview conducted in his hometown of Maastricht, David had this to say, "To me it will be no problem [on dealing with expectations]. I do not care what people think about me or what they think about my play. My teammates and coaches will be the ones I listen to - not the fans, sports journalists, or hockey experts. I know how to take criticism from those who have earned the right to give it. I will, in turn, criticize my teammates and coaches if I feel they need it. I will not be shy."
  3. Yeah I have weird white bars. EDIT: Jardy's stupid tip worked but it makes everything bigger and thus a bit childish. Oh wellz.
  4. Yeah I don't see how it was death to Everton given their success from last season.
  5. I was reading comments earlier that were trashing United's chance at a top four finish. Well, they currently sit in 4th place right now so I think you are being naive if you don't think they stand a chance. As for the Falcao signing, why would you turn down the opportunity to sign a goalscorer like that? If there was a defender available that Van Gaal would have liked to sign, then they would have done that as well - not instead. I am not pissed off at all, I love it. Under Moyes they were a boring snooze-fest of a team to watch. The United of old always boasted loads and loads of attacking prowess and flair and they are finally starting to rediscover that with their signings. I was sad to see Welbeck leave as he is developing into a very good player and was a United player through and through. Is he good enough to be on the United front line, however? I am not sure. I wish him all the best at Arsenal and hope for England's sake he develops into a stud.
  6. It needs buttons, but looks promising!
  7. David Januzaj annouced today that he will be hanging up his skates following the season's end. "My target earnings for my career, knowing my limitations, was about five million dollars. When Davos came and offered me seven million for one season I knew I had hit the jackpot. I only ever played this sport for the money. I can now take that money and use it to invest in what I truly was born to do - sell my own brand of shampoo. Thank you to everyone who contributed to my career along the way. We made it guys. Januzaj's Hair Wash will hit store sometimes around the third quarter of 2016, so keep an eye out for it. It will change your life."
  8. Fuck why does this have to be so hard to choose between.
  9. I will be around for questioning. Surprising, I know.
  10. Real shame to see bud, still never got a chance to play on the same team as you. Best of luck though dude, hope your family is doing well!
  11. Whoever was wondering where United have the money to go for Di Maria at 59.7 million pounds, look no further than their deals with Addidas and Chevrolet, in addition to a massive increase in TV revenue from the Permier League. Not convinced about the money, but Di Maria certainly adds much needed quality into United's lineup. United of the glory days always bolstered a fearsome attacking group and that has certainly been lacking in recent years. Di Maria helps with this certainly. Now if only we could get healthy and start to see what Van Gaal is all about. It will take time, but I believe. BTW he is much better than Moyes.
  12. Does anyone play CS:GO or TF2? Plz tell me.
  13. I was drunk from Feb to June, so I missed some of these epic stories. Also wtf Phil why ain't you telling me any of this shit.
  14. I am sort of with Streetlight on this one. I think there's a reasonable solution to extending player's career at a cost high enough to deter most members. Some members might start being really active with their players only in their 3rd season with them and want a longer time with their players instead of retiring and re-creating. Some people might just really want to break some records at the cost of their next player. It would add a new dynamic here, that's for sure. Also Street should get at least 5 TPE + a free week for doing career stats. That shit is painful and also the lifeblood of this league.
  15. David Henman was named after the tennis player Tim Henman. Nice article haha.
  16. Happy fucking birthday you old dog
  17. Good shit yo, some interesting changes
