But Devise he is somewhat right, if we decreased teams he'd be on the third line and get 30 points and would be frustrated beyond belief. Which is why this whole thing is stupid.

Devise would get 30 points on the 1st line though just sayin'.

I know I’m throwing myself at the wolves in this situation but, my only question is where does that put guys like me who are possibly coming in, we haven't played a game in the VHL yet but we're active and been doing our part in the VHLM. Does this mean we become further irrelevant without sufficient TPE to be on the 1st or 2nd lines?

If you remained active you'd work your way up to 1st line ice time.

Why does everyone want to be a 1st liner right away?

because we're pretend hockey players who actually can't play hockey for shit

If people thought it was hard to score points as a rookie on the 2nd line trying doing it on the 3rd.

Bunclewirth didn't find it hard at all!

This is not the argument we need to be making though.

By that logic, we should never change anything.

Actually the logic is more than perfectly sound in this case, since Willcox specifically said "It would get boring in a couple seasons," while Victor said, "There is ample evidence it hasn't gotten boring in 40 seasons, so I don't know what the fuck you're even talking about," only nicer.

That said, this entire thread is stupid since there's almost entirely speculation.  We don't actually KNOW players would shit the bed on the third line, or how it would affect the majority of people, or any of that.  Locker rooms would probably be better with more people in it.  Or maybe it would be too cramped for new guys who already don't feel comfortable with a big crowd of people intimately familiar with each other.

Which really would be my argument against contraction.  We know what we have is good and works well.  We have no idea if contraction would be better.  If it was would be, then yay.  But if it worse we would look like fucking idiots, and possibly die.  The risk-reward is shit, imo.

Okay guys, I know I don't say this enough as commissioner but can you all shut the fuck up?

It's saturday, Higginpuffs is reeling in his grave knowing you all are badmouthing him behind his back. Have some shame people.

I don’t really care what line I play on, but when you’ve had guys who were in the VHLM with 200+ TPE or have at least had two full seasons and they’re considered “Top Tier” talent coming into the VHL and the amount of hype those players get is insane. That’s actually contradictory to saying to someone like me who’s just joined “Stay Active you’ll get there eventually” that’s actually telling me, no matter what I do I won’t have much of an impact for my team because there are 3 or 4 guys ahead of me.

Fair enough, but I still think answers can be explained better than that.

Fair point didn't realize people were so against playing a secondary role on a team as long as the team saw success.

There have been cases of some teams having more players than normal and it generally didn't reflect well on individual stats or in fact playoff performance. Everyone loves playing 28 minutes a game though.

Fully baked in Franks case

I think the only thing he did incorrectly was bothering to post this, it's pretty evident already that it's not going to change.

I agree with him and everyone else who thinks the team should be compressed, but our opinion isn't really of any consequence.

Oh, I wasn't actually trying to contribute to this. Was just stating that Frank is always fully baked  :smoke:
