I don't know about Boom's feelings on Calgary (or if he had come out as HFD yet), but if not him, who the hell else was on the board there? And even so, there's a difference between going quietly into FA and doing... that.

There were offers out.

 

People have been trying to trade for him a while.

 

But I imagine Devise took it as eagles wasn't trading him just to spite him (given that he found some of the offers more than fair).

 

Also going to FA would be worse? So you're right..there is a difference.

I come to a lot of peoples defense when I feel they are right or disagree with them being piled upon.

 

Im guessing youd do the same for people you consider close friends or family.
