Was there ever any doubt that Helsinki would win the chip? The excitement from most of the Titans seems a little.... artificial. Thompson (probably the best VHL player) signed with a team that made the finals two years in a row, and beat him last year, so obviously they should be better than everyone.  If you can't beat them, join them.

Also the excitement is expected but definitely not artificial. This is my first final in over 3 real life years, despite winning at least 5 or 6 victory cups in that time. Meanwhile the others on the team made the final the last two seasons but lost both times. The excitement is definitely real.

Yeah, between Bek not winning since dial up times, and Helsinki being disappointed two years in a row, the excitement and anticipation is real. We want this thing, and with Simon at the helm, nothing is ever guaranteed.

I was so happy when Hossa won.

Then he won on the Hawks, which obviously I didn't like when they got past Vancouver, but I was happy that Hossa won.

I don't know I'm pretty sure we enjoyed it in Toronto in Season 64.

 

I'm not going to lie though STHS having Helsinki lose after all this talking would be so on brand and hilarious that I kinda secretly want it to happen even if all of that HSK team deserves this win.
