Hey! Rift was good! Shame that was my only good player thus far when he was the one I hated being/didn't want to be in the first place. I have hope that maybe Thaddeus will outshine Rift and actually be both enjoyable to play and good. But knowing me, chances are likely it's a slightly less awful scrub than Logan Laich.

No. Laich is just a scrub, so the running joke continues that he sucks. Except it's not really a joke, more the lack of consistency/streakyness of his play is a joke.

Well there is the final update. My goal was to try to get to 1000 TPE with Laich. A mark that I fell way short of. Granted I did retire basically two seasons early. But I also tapered off in activity the last few months. Something I"m now fixing. Even still, 750 isn't a bad margin. Maybe eventually I will hit all 8 seasons with a player, but being in a position I am as a GM right now it made sense for me to make this move. Laich was a scrub, can't believe he won a cup. Maybe he won't be a scrub on D this year, but chances are likely he still will. I got to do what I wanted to do with Laich though, and that at least makes me happy. Onto the next career it is for me.

I accept. I at least didn't pull a Greg and leave Kendrick in the dark before I traded him. I didn't want to trade Kendrick. I really didn't. It was something last season I started mulling over. Kendrick is a fantastic member in this league, and he is handily going to break the TPE record with Richardson. But having two crazy TPE whores on your roster is just super tough to manage. Given the fact that Green committed long term to Cologne in his rookie season, and that I myself am going to be recreating as a defender. It just made more sense to get rid of Kendrick. But I am deeply saddened to lose Kendrick not just because of his member and locker room presence but because of everything he meant to the Cologne franchise. He heralded it into the league, and I am absolutely pleased that he was able to be on this team to win it's first Championship. If anything he deserved it more than anyone else. Good luck in Davos Kendrick. I'm more than happy to get Boom back in return. He is one of the best locker room members on here. Now it's time to still be in mostly cap hell and run with limited positions. Oh lovely! There is room for improvement Street but getting it off the ground we want to build a base to be flexible to changes and simple. This first season is effectively a beta.

We have the metrics worked out and it will be for the regular season. You can probably expect a post from the Blue Team laying out the metrics Victor and I worked diligently on. Glad to see everyone seemed to enjoy the concept though.

Yeah the tie in stuff and the netflix stuff looks interesting. It's going to be weird though. I'm genuinely worried about Avengers 3. (both parts) With Agents of Shield stuff introducing Inhumans things, Daredevil and The Defenders stuff, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, then the Spiderman. It's going to be a VERY crowded movie. I wonder if it'll suffer from just too many characters? Also to respond to you Boychuk I don't think the Fantastic Four and X-Men stuff is part of it. Not that I know of. Marvel got the rights to Spiderman but not the other two.

Season 42 marked the end of a personal quest I undertook since the two new expansion franchises entered the league in Season 31. The VHL is a league of history, probably more so than most sim leagues you will find. While we do our best to adapt and evolve, and cater to the constant changing of the times and member guard in the league, we always do so with a badge of honor of what was happened before. We have records that are unlikely to be broken. We have awards that may never see a name change due to the legacy and impact of some of the early season players. We have old dynasties constantly remembered via things like the 30 in 30, and even team point tasks that honor significant seasons in team history. While we are very much a progressive league, we also are a very historical one as well. Joining the league in Season 23 and beginning to wrap my mind around what it was and what I could do here, it dawned upon me that I wanted to somehow try to etch my path in league history. That is tough to do. For starters I'm shit at making players. I mean I didn't even update skating for Logan Laich until like his fourth season because I'm a scrub idiot. With the unlikely odds of me making a HoF player as I even retired early the one player that actually had a chance in Rift, I decided I would try to make league history some other way. A way that I actually may be able to do. Thus my personal quest to help both expansion franchises win their first championship was born. The quest became half done in Season 35 after I betrayed everything and sent Rift to Quebec via free agency in Season 34. But our villainous group of people who joined via free agent, the Valiqs who refused to play anywhere else and Kellinger who was traded for an a whopping six draft picks won the Championship in Season 35. Realizing I was halfway done, my goal then became very simple. Go to Cologne, and get them a championship. I made it known to all that if possible I'd love to have Logan Laich be on Cologne. That happened after Chris Miller got rid of the scrub for what ended up being a middling return. It may of took Romanes stepping down and me doing a few shake ups in my usual aggressive fuck draft picks GM style, but Season 42 marks the end of that personal quest. I probably won't be remembered for fuck all in this league, but at the very least I know that I was apart of making history, as really the "mastermind" behind the first Cup wins for both expansion teams. Now I need a new personal quest. Not to build a shit ass player maybe? Who knows.

I'm going to see it but fuck the new Star Wars. Seriously, Tatooine? AGAIN? That fucking boring bullshit desert planet should be blown to hell. Since Phil felt the need for bumping this he only decided to bump Franks. But the debate I had with Kesler is kind of ironic considering the circumstances. I mean I got it wrong, I said New York would score 7 on him when in fact it was US who did in the finals. I think if we only talked about VHL things it would certainly be a bit more weird than it is. Really though Chris and Kyle and I Skype weekly, daily if our schedules line up but now that I'm busy working nights that is a day to day challenge. But we go through stretches where VHL is the last thing we are talking about. We hang out watching movies, or wrestling, or Giant Bomb videos etc. I don't know for us it doesn't really feel weird to be hanging out, just something we should be planning. Making it like a vacation style trip makes sense too. I'm actually quite pumped for the trip. Two ROH wrestling shows, tons of great stuff to do. We will have more details on the "live Pajodcast" as we get closer. We plan on doing some actual audio ones here before then to build the hype. Anyways, GREAT MEDIA SPOT JERICHO YOU BUM!
