  1. Hey Blue Team. As we noted in the Pajodcast, dates kind of need to be added so we can actually PLAY the Super Cup. The Super Cup is like a 30 game season with best of 3 playoff series to determine winners here. Off seasons are supposed to be longer when we do World and Super Cup. Pre-Season/Regular Season starts a bit hasty tbh.
  2. I try. I told Frank even though I'm stepping down I'll do card descriptions again for the S42 set simply because I don't want to give up on how fun it is to write the worlds best shit about Edwin Encarnacion and other hilariously amazing players.
  3. Indeed. Toronto and Seattle competing for a third spot in the North American and now Davos/Stockholm and realistically if they can't get rid of some players like Salo and McQueen etc, Riga could still be a threat in Euro for that third spot. It's always fun when you can't predict what will happen.
  4. Accept. Hey look, I have cap space again! That is all this is sadly. I'm no longer 5 million over or whatever it was I was over. Ali was a good inactive depth piece, and I really liked Tylar, but as a depth guy at over 3 mill he's simply too expensive as guys like Green and Kendrick enter god mode in TPE and as scrub Logan Laich costs way too much for what he puts on the ice. Have fun in Davos Tylar. I continue to make the Euro race interesting though.
  5. I accept. I hate giving him up for so little but there was no market and everyone knew it. At least Olynick will have a locker room with some guys and hopefully they can have a good time there. Best of luck in Stockholm Homesick, I remain constant that you are a great member.
  6. http://www65.zippyshare.com/v/1VkxFe6t/file.html Probably have to download it again. We talk playoffs, off topic stuff, trades, shout outs, and other stuff. WE GOT ONE DONE THIS WEEK THOUGH!
  7. I accept. Happy to welcome Raymond aboard!
  8. Pajodcast timing today = too hard to get going. So +4 for Laich and we'll try again next week.
  9. While some of that is true Victor Helsinki still has options. Plus Cologne 2 third season players will have over 700 TPE by the time the season starts. So really are they third years?
  10. Catchafadeal Cup era begins.
  11. Fixed my apologies on the pick.
  12. CGY Receives: S43 COL 1st, S43 QUE 2nd COL Receives: Martin Brookside We got the go ahead to do this deal early from Draper and Flyers since we aren't trading any S42 picks and everybody has known for a while now that Jason is stepping down and Eagles is taking over. Welcome Brookside to the Express Jason is a long time good member and friend. I accept.
  13. Dear god there is going to be another Laich in the fold?
  14. Going to go ahead and name Doomsday as the next candidate for this. Thanks to Jericho and Homesick for applying. I'll get your FB info to get you access here Doom in the off season.
  15. Game seven.....New York speciality right?
  16. I think Hall needs to adjust his role and learn to be better at more of the game honestly. He isn't a bad player, but I don't think he will meet the expectation as Kendrick stated of a 60-70 point guy. But I do think he can be a consistent 20-30 goal scorer with speed, who if he learns the rest of the game better can contribute on both ends of the ice and more importantly help his team pick up wins. But there needs to be a commitment there imo. A change of scenery and some smarter coaching staff wouldn't hurt for him either. That is kind of the issue with a lot of the Oilers first round players. Taken very early in the draft fans expectations are that they are saving race top line forwards who are going to lead the league and go nuts in scoring season to season. Not every player ends up being that player. That doesn't mean they still can't be 1st or 2nd line material, it just means they need to be more than scorers. Very few players get away with just being a "scorer" or a "point getter" in the NHL. To do it you need to put up enough points that the rest of the areas you lack don't matter. And even then it isn't acceptable. Guys like Ovie or Kessel get ragged on to commit more and backcheck more and have since adjusted their games this past season to put in effort there as well.
  17. Dug back to quote this. Eric Fehr is not a bad player. Like Hall he had a lot of first round pick hype, however Fehr has adjusted to become a good two way player plays wing and center, Pp and Pk, and contributes solid on the score sheet playing on one of the better third lines in the league. Consistently up against oppositions top players too. I think people put too much stock into the skill aspects of young players and it leads to heightened expectations. There is very few players who will pan out the way Malkin or Crosby or Ovechkin or Stamkos or Giroux etc have. Important for players to worry about contributing on the ice and fitting a good role. If Hall had been coached better from the start his attitude may be better than thinking he has to put up points every night.
  18. What the fuck is Chipotle? Also I drink plenty of water while I'm drinking and generally avoid a hangover. Sure you piss alot but no headache or feeling bad is always great. Also I'm with Kendrick greasy shitty food is greasy shitty food drunk or ootherwise. The only time I eat it is when I crave it otherwise I don't find it tastes that great, whether I am drunk or not. But getting drunk at a good restaurant a nice steak and baked potato maybe some asparagus? Hot damn sign me up.
  19. New York has always just been one of the best gm'd franchises in the NA. Interestingly enough Toronto and Seattle are the only NA team to win in that stretch that didn't have one of Sterling, Victor, Advantage or myself on it. Only in the Lebeau era too since S29 Toronto had Labatte.
  20. No it isn't. You used a 47 game sample size from this season. Historically speaking for the last 3-4 seasons western conference was more defensive.
  21. Yes because GA is the most telling defensive stat. Goalies have a lot to do with that. I'm not saying it isn't a stat to bring up, but the only one? Subban playing in front of price helps his numbers. However I personally would take PK over Yandle but not so much so that it is offensive to say ootherwise. Yandle is a good player.
  22. And we head to a rematch in the finals. Helsinki fought hard this series though.
