I'm incredibly disappointed in the demise of the new USFL with no explanation. I spent a lot of time setting it up and helping out and for it to disappear without so much as even a warning is lame. Bemetsz had a roster editor for Madden 08 I think. I know he was able to customize a lot for us so it's doable.

I hope to God you're kidding.

This season the Quebec City Meute look like a whole new team, and you could argue it’s because they have brought in several new faces. Of the faces that remain the same, new captain Felipe Rodriguez had the most to gain. He came off a disappointing rookie campaign and looked to be the player he was expected to be coming into the league. Through 72 games last year, he played 26.86 minutes per game. This season, he has been called upon a lot more and has earned 30.46 minutes per game so far. He has not put those minutes to waste as he already has six goals, .261 per game compared to .181 per game in season 48. He’s also seen the sin bin less frequently. His hitting statistics are improved, especially avoiding hits as he took 148 hits last year, 2.06 per game, and this season he’s on pace for only 63, .870 hits taken per game. When asked about why he’s been playing better, Felipe had this to say: “I think we’ve gelled as a team. Last year I was new to the team, so was Unassisted, we hadn’t played Lincoln or Sleeman previously so it took us a season to adjust apparently. It also can’t be ignored that we have a great goaltender in Clegane so we’re not always playing from behind which does wonders for your confidence out there.” Talking about the rest of the year: “I think as we move forward, if we’re all hitting the gym and keeping in shape, we have nothing to worry about. I know we’re sitting in third place right now in the American Conference but we’re talking a handful of points between us. This early in the season it’s not all that important to be in first place. Toronto could possibly pull away though if we’re not careful. We just need to keep pace with them and we’ll be alright.” About personal goals: “Right now, I’m happy with where I’m at. If I can just improve on all my numbers from last year I think I’ll call this season a victory. My shot blocking numbers are low but I think that’s related to the fact that we’re tighter on defense and a better puck possession team. We’re not seeing as many shots against so it stands to reason that I’d be blocking less shots. I think my hitting numbers are up a bit. I’m also shooting a little less, taking my time and picking my shots this season. I think last year I was just shooting whenever I could to see what would stick.” The Quebec City Meute are a much better team this year currently sitting at 17-4-2 and they’re currently on a five-game win streak. Their next games are against European Conference teams and that conference has been struggling to say the least. The Toronto Legion are on a 10-game win streak right now with no signs of slowing down. As Felipe mentioned, the rest of the American Conference needs to keep pace with Toronto to avoid them running away with the Victory Cup just 23 games into the season.

Couldn't help but notice "Cologne" is spelled wrong in the text above your sig. Just a heads up.

They weren't even in the lineup yet.

The Quebec City Meute announced their team captains this past week and defenseman Felipe Rodriguez was announced as the captain for the first time in his short career. Wearing the “A” this year for the Meute will be Unassisted and Aleksi Koponen. Rodriguez had this to say about his selection for captain: “It’s an honor, it really is. This team has had several great captains come through and it’s a really great feeling to have my name even mentioned in the same breath. I know I have a long way to go before I am at their level but I’m happy I even have an opportunity. I hope I don’t let the management, the fans, or my teammates down this season.” So far this season, in Quebec City’s eight games, Rodriguez has two goals and three assists for a total of five points. More importantly, he’s on the right side of the plus-minus rating, something we have not seen since his first year in the VHLM’s Ottawa Lynx, at plus-eight. He’s been called upon a lot more than in his previous season playing just over 32 minutes per game up six minutes per game from last season. Felipe has always prided himself on the peripheral stats, though, and in that department he’s been a little lackluster thus far. He has contributed 28 hits and 14 blocked shots through eight games, so it’s hard to gauge just how he’ll fair throughout the remainder of the season. The team as a whole has improved greatly with the addition of goaltender extraordinaire, Greg Clegane, and self-proclaimed “Best Fighter in the VHL” Aleksi Koponen. Things can only go up from here as the team will be adding several other solid players to the fold starting in the next few games. How the lines will be shaken up is yet to be seen. The currently have the VHL’s leading scorer in Unassisted as well as the two players tied for first in assists in Tom Lincoln and Koponen. These three also make up the top two point-earners at the center position and also number one at the left wing position as well as the top three in plus-minus rating in the league. John Sleeman’s 10 points places him in second player for defenseman points as well. While we’re on the topic of league leaders, Koponen also has a 71.52% faceoff percentage good for second in the league behind Edwin Reencarnacion at a staggering 75.09%. On the defensive side of things, Greg Clegane has been a great backstop for the Wolfpack with a .925 save percentage, 1.88 goals against average, and eight wins in eight outings as the starting goaltender for Quebec. In addition to Clegane’s stellar performances, Sleeman’s 18 shots blocked is good for fourth place in the league and Rodriguez’s 28 hits put him in eighth, right behind Koponen’s 33. It doesn’t hurt that the five teams they’ve played up to this point have a combined 10 wins and 26 losses or that they’ve only faced 201 shots against so far. The true test will come shortly when they have a four game stretch where they play against the Toronto Legion and the Seattle Bears, two games apiece. (534 words)

Yeah, I'm in these leagues for fun. Not sure why I would be here for any other reason

I actually contemplated buying this. I think it's a pretty cool option.

I'll be a little out of my element for sure.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
