HC Davos settles in, settles down
DAVOS, SWITZERLAND -- HC Davos Dynamo has found a bit more consistency over the past couple of games, winning their last three games against Riga (2x) and Stockholm.
"We switched up our lines a little bit," Coach Jack Reilly said after yesterday's win against Riga, "Things are certainly falling into place. We hope to drive the point home to the team, 'Always give your best effort,' and the boys have definitely taken that to heart."
The Dynamo have actually played a fairly mediocre schedule to date, playing 7 games against Stockholm, 5 against Seattle, 4 against Riga, 4 against Quebec, 3 against Calgary, and only 1 against New York. Davos is yet to play against Cologne, Helsinki, and Toronto, so they should definitely expect a tougher second half of the season.
The good news for Davos is that Stockholm has also faced a very easy schedule early on and will face more serious competition in the coming months. One thing is for certain - this will be an entertaining playoff race in Europe.
