  1. Ayyy - love your GFX. When you get a chance, I'd love one for my player to upgrade the one I made in GIMP. Player: Aston Martin Render: Patrick Kane
  2. Haha - leading the league in points from defensemen!
  3. That's definitely coming soon - may do a top 3 goalies next week but I have to look at the eligible players to see if we have a crop of goalies beyond Mr. Funk. Heres a sneak preview of the mock draft though: 1.1 - Aston Martin
  4. Thanks man! The draft is going to be awesome, going to be great to see where all these players end up
  5. S67 Draft Series Top 3 Defensemen Prior Article: Sleepers Prior Article: Top 3 Centers Prior Article: Top 3 Wingers In this weeks installment of the Season 67 Draft Series, we’ll cover the Top-3 eligible defenseman. In previous weeks, we have covered sleepers, top centers and top wingers in this seemingly very talented draft class. Let’s dig into the blue liners. Hulk Hogan – Mississauga Hounds @HulkHogan TPE: 221 At the top of the list at this point is Hounds defenseman Hulk Hogan. At 6’6 and 210 pounds he possesses great size and strength for a defenseman. Hogan has definitely out paced his draft position, as he was the 22nd overall pick in the VHLM Dispersal draft and certainly has burst onto the scene. This season for the Hounds, he has produced an impressive 77 points (13 goals and 64 assists), which is Top 10 in the VHLM for points. His 64 assists is the best of all players in the VHLM. Clearly, his production on the ice has been spectacular but scouts are even more excited about whats to come with Hogan. He projects as a two-way defenseman at the next level, despite his clear offensive stats this season. He plays a physical brand of hockey and is very responsible defensively. Scout Assessment: Boone Jenton – Philadelphia Reapers @FakeJenton TPE: 199 Second on the list is Reapers defenseman Boone Jenton, who was drafted 30th overall by Philadelphia in the past VHLM Dispersal Draft. The Michigan-born defenseman also has a similar two-way style as the aforementioned Hulk Hogan. He can skate very well and transition from defense to offense at a high level. He is also very responsible defensively and has some of the best defensive IQ in the draft. This is evidenced by his 113 shots blocked so far this season, which is good for Top-6 in the VHLM. As far as his offensive stats go, he has put together a nice season so far for the Reapers. In his 57 games played he has produced 8 goals and 47 assists which is third best among VHLM defensemen in points. Scout Assessment: Lincoln Tate – San Diego Marlins @Tate TPE: 186 A recurring player of our rankings is Lincoln Tate, who was featured as the top sleeper a few weeks back in our article. In that article, we stated: “we have Tate labeled as a sleeper for now, but he is beginning to garner national attention and we would not be surprised if he was a high draft pick when that day comes.” As we projected then, he blossomed out of the sleeper category and has been continuously progressing. Similar to Jenton, Lincoln Tate plays the game silky smooth. His skating and transition game is top notch. He ranks second amongst all defensemen in the VHLM with 76 points, which is one point off the leader and number one player listed here, Hulk Hogan. Of the three players mentioned in this article, Lincoln Tate probably has the highest offensive ceiling. He is slightly more offensive-minded than Hogan and Jenton, but all three play a relatively similar style. Scout Assessment:

  12. Aston Martin for MVP? The Ottawa Lynx have been the story of the VHLM this season. They have clinched a playoff birth just 47 games into the season with a 38-6-3 record. Part of this success is attributable to the performance of rookie center Aston Martin who has officially burst onto the scene. After a somewhat quite start on a personal note, the past couple weeks have been impressive for Martin. He is currently tied for the league-lead with 33 goals in 47 games and also has contributed 34 points. His 67 points is good for sixth-best in the league and just 9 points off the leader, Blake Gaudette. The former second round pick for the Lynx has proven to be quite the value pick at 14th overall. What is next for Martin? Is it possible he continues this red hot streak and takes home the goal scoring title? Can he be a high draft pick in the S67 VHL Draft? Only time will tell.

  14. No clue what this is - but lets get it
  15. 1) Personally, I couldnt be happier with how I have been playing. One goal off the league lead and the team is humming. 2) Favorite part of the team is the fact that we win games, a lot of them 3) I love all of my teammates, even Kennedy 4) I feel great - I think everyone is working hard and we deserve to be at the top 5) Probably us honestly - I thought we would be competitive but not this dominant 6) Not at this point; but ask me at the end of the season
  16. Last week we rolled out the Top 3 centers eligible for the Season 67 VHL Entry Draft and discussed in detail about Phil Marleau, Boris the Forest and Aston Martin. This week, on the third installment of the S67 early draft content we dig into the Top 3 wingers (L or R) eligible for the draft. Bjorn Scoringsonn – RW – Philadelphia Reapers @11 Eleven The man that was born to score comes in at number one on our list; Bjorn Scoringsonn of the 34-win Philadelphia Reapers. The 18th overall selection in the VHLM draft has proved to be a steal for the Reapers as he continues to develop and open eyes around the league. In 45 games played he has tallied 19 goals and 19 assists, which slots him at fifth best on the team. While not boasting incredible gaudy statistics, Bjorn has found a nice home on a balanced-scoring Reapers team. He comes from a long lineage of hockey heritage in Iceland and as his name suggest, his best trait is his natural goal scoring ability. Scout Assessment Acyd Burn – LW – Halifax 21st @Acydburn Second on the list is a player that seemingly came out of nowhere: Acyd Burn of the Halifax 21st. Similar to our number one, Bjorn Scoringsonn, Acyd Burn does not have overly impressive stats for Halifax with 11 goals and 27 assists. This is primarily due to this Halifax team having some offensive power from VHL drafted players such as Blake Gaudette and AJ Axelsen. Flying under the radar, Acyd is proving to the league that he is an all-around offensive threat with high upside. He has a very quik release that catches goalies off guard, but also possesses great puck handing and passing skills that make him a special mix of a player. Scout Assessment ACL TEAR – RW Ottawa Lynx @Quik Rounding out the Top 3 is a very unique winger from the Ottawa Lynx named ACL TEAR. We flirted with the idea of swapping in Michael Gary Scott into this slot, but quite frankly, we thought ACL TEAR deserved some sort of recognition. The hulking 6’8 250 pound winger is an old-school, in your face type of grinder and a player that this league hasn’t seen in years. He has managed to find the score sheet with 10 goals and 11 assists in his 45 games played, but that is not the type of player he is. At the time of this article he has 69 penalty minutes (nice) and 130 Hits. That is the type of player he is. ACL will be the first to stick up for a teammate and the first to deliver a bone crushing (or ligament tearing) body check in the middle of the ice. Scout Assessment
  17. 1. Thomas Kennedy 2. MVP so far is probably Donny Draper on offense and Ambrose Stark on defense for me, he's been lights out for us. 3. Number 1 is us, we quite frankly cannot lose.Philly has also been very good obviously 4. He stinks 5. The tradition I'd like to see the team adopt is victory beers 6. No real rivalries with any other players on other teams (yet) but I am sure I will develop a few
