The games that the Aces have played, have been really good games so far. Luke Derion is built like a brick wall, he will not let any goals get passed him. the Las Vegas Aces have won all five games that they have played so far. I think that this is really good, and they just might take home a cup this year. It is still to early to tell, but I have faith that they will be taking it home again this year. Our defense on the team is also really good. Contrary to people saying that our defense is weak, as our General manager has stated, as well as our AGM, we will really show other teams just how strong we are. We are a good team that has fought hard, and played well so far. We also are a team that will continue to strengthen our bonds with each other out, and will be sure to back each other up when needed. This is a team that will continue to be strong and make best of what we can with these players. One final thought is We will prevail for all to see, it won't be a surprise if we win another cup.

    1. What do you look forward to in this upcoming VHLM season?
I look forward to making a lot of new friends here on this site. I also plan on staying active from here on out. I also am prepared to help the aces take another Champions cup this year.

    2. Do you think the Aces have a shot at defending the cup? Why/Why not?
I do think we have a shot at defending the cup this year. We have a lot of good players, players on our team this year, and if we put our heads together, we can take home another cup.

    3. How do you think your player will play this season? What do you hope to accomplish in the minors?
I believe that my player will do fairly well this season. I believe he will do fairly well because, he is motived, and he is ready to help his team in anyway that he can.

    4. Who do you think drafted the best, and why?
I believe there is not any one team that drafted the best out of all the teams on this site. This is because all teams had really good picks this year.

    5. What new expansion or relocated team are you most excited to face this year? Philadelphia, Houston, or Minnesota? and why?
I am most excited to face the Houston bulls. I am excited to face them because they are one of the brand new teams, with a lot of good potential to possibly take the cup this year.

    6. What are your first thoughts on being in Vegas? Do you like it here? Share some of your excitement!
I do like being on this team. We have a lot of good guys on our team, and I hope to make the best of my VHLM career with them. I am also very excited to be on this team. I'm sure there will  a lot of parties that I will attend after games, and especially during, and after playoffs.

Barracuda reacted to Jubo in Vegas Welcomes 13 Draftees
The season 65 VHLM dispersal draft took place late Sunday evening and played its way into the night. Las Vegas selected 13 players in total bringing their roster to 19 of the 20 allotted spots. For a team losing many of its stars to the VHL, these picks will play a huge part in giving Vegas a fighting chance to defend its recent Founder's Cup Championship. Their two positions of weakness going into the draft were centre and goal-tending. These needs were quickly filled as Vegas was overjoyed to select centre David Harrison at pick 22, and goalies Luke Derion and Sunny Burst as picks 25 and 43 respectively. There will certainly be a goalie battle this season with Derion having the head start from day 1 as the starter. At pick 33, Vegas believes they picked the forward steal of the draft in Jordan Joshua Tonn. The young forward appears to figure into Vegas' top six right out of the gate and should improve quickly as the season progresses.
Overall, Vegas is very pleased with their draft set and is excited to gauge how their prospects will draw out over the next few weeks.

    Pick #22 - David Harrison
    Pick #25 - Luke Derion
Pick #33 - Jordan Joshua Tonn
    Pick #35 - Willy Memelander
Pick #38 - Benson Van Roosen
Pick #41 - Markus Lulic Descheneaux
Pick #42 - Dave John OQuinn
    Pick #43 - Sunny Burst
    Pick #46 - Michael Rasmussen
    Pick #51 - Robert Burns
    Pick #54 - Magnus Pederson
    Pick #62 - Billy Kimber
    Pick #70 - Koen Senft

The VHLM playoffs have started and the wildcard round, featuring the Oslo Storm and Saskatoon Wild, have already taken place (concluded?). On paper, Oslo were the favourites, but not by a wide margin. The Wild managed to make some considerable signings late into the season, but their last signing, Maximilian Kirbsson, couldn’t make it into the roster as he was signed 3 hours after the last regular season game.
Let’s see how each game went down.

    Game 1
Taking place in Oslo, the Storm came out strong, although maybe too agressive. Hitz took a penalty just 8 seconds into the game, but the Wild couldn’t capitalize on the power play. They were the first to score as Penneration sniped one past Sohva. However, Oslo was able to respond with a power play goal from David Harrison, their starting center.
In the second period, the Wild took advantage of a power play and Schaefer scored in what was the second assist of the night for LaVey. The Storm reacted quickly, and Aaltonen scored as Sundell picked up his first assist as a Storm. However, just 4 minutes away from the 3rd Titus Stone silenced a very electric crowd with a shot from a rebound.
Third period comes around and the Storm are looking very hungry, just one minute into the period Jurri scores and Sundell racks up another assist. Not too long after, Szita puts one past Cole to take the lead. Things were looking great for the Storm, but just 40 seconds away from closing out the game, Brian Strong scores from his own rebound to tie the game 4 to 4.
In overtime, both teams were ramped up and wanted to take the first win of the playoffs home, they were both putting up great shots and it looked like either of them could take the win, but then Mozorov from the Wild took a penalty, and Szita capitalized on that with his second of the game, taking Game 1 and putting the Storm just one game away from the semis.

    Game 2
It looks like the Storm didn’t learn much from game 1 as Lombardi took a penalty just 17 seconds into the game, and this time the Wild took advantage of that as Stone scored his second of the series putting his team up 1-0. After that Oslo had many scoring chances but couldn’t convert, but they were looking like the better team and they out shot the Wild 14 to 5 in the first period.
It was Brian Strong in the second period who managed to score on a rebound to put the Wild up 2-0 even though they were being heavily out shot. However, Justin Cole, who has so far putting up a fantastic performance couldn’t stop Szita's shot as Oslo broke their shot streak without a goal and shortened the deficit to just one. Later in the period, Kari Jurri managed to score his second of the series in a power play, and just like that, the game escaped from the Wild’s hands. After Jurri’s goal came an Aaltonen goal, shortly after Hitz’s first goal in the series, and Kai ended the period with a goal of his own. The Storm put themselves up 5-2, and it looked like the game was over.
The third period wasn’t any different as the Storm continued to out shoot the Wild and Kai scored his second of the game. LaVey responded with a goal, but it was way too late, and the Storm managed to close out the series with a dominant 6-3 win.

Although the first game was very close, the Wild, out shot 43 to 20 in the second game, had virtually no chance as they saw their playoff dreams fade away caused by their penalty problem.
The Storm will now face Las Vegas, the strongest team in the VHLM. Their chances are slim, but if Szita continues playing at the level he is right now and Sohva manages to step up, they could surprise some people.

Welcome back to the league man! I was wondering about you. It's always nice to see old members come back. When I got on Halifax you were still on the roster with Santos so I know you've played for us before, however Halifax is full of contracts at the moment so I can't offer anything. Plenty of teams will have openings next season and since you created after the deadline you have a good chance of leading your draft class if you stay active! Good luck pal!

    1. The two teams I would like to keep my net untouched from are Saskatoon, and Oslo.
2.As of right now, I'm not sure I have any rivals.
3.I love it here in Yukon. We took home a cup in S59, but unfortunately weren't able to take it home last season. I have made it my duty to make sure we bring home a cup this season, as I let my team down last season.
    4. The Player that isa the hardest to read in terms of shootouts/breakaways would probably be Billy Pilgrim.
5.Yes, I do give gentle taps to them.

    1. I'm not sure who the would have the biggest impact jumping straight into the VHL to be quite honest with you. If I had to choose, IT would probably be one of the Wingers, or one of the high TPE Goalies.
    2. The biggest draft steal would probably have to be Robert Malenko. @pennypenny is super active on the site. His player also has high TPE.
    3. The biggest bust would have to be Carey Price. He has the lowest TPE out of all the goalies, and hasn't been active for a few months.
4.I think the team that won the draft this year, is Quebec.
    5. Yes, I do think that Sebastian Ironside will have a big impact stepping into the VHL next season.
    6. I am Hoping Our team will take home the Cup.
    7. I think that Ilya Kovalchuk will sign with the San Jose Sharks.

    1. I have a great feeling about my draft. I might not have had a top 10 pick, but I think I got a lot of good names, and guys with good potential late.

    2. I can say a ton about @pennypenny Robert Malenko. He should have gone higher if you ask me. He's going to be a star alongside my own defenseman now. Other than him, I think guys like @troy Lew Bronstein or @Barracuda Greg Santos could be late steals in the draft.

    3. I think Riga won for sure. They barely finished contending, and now they have a jumpstart in their rebuild with a franchise center (Cast), defenseman (Stromberg), and goaltender (Aamo). Not to mention Preencaracion. That's 2/3 of a top line, a #1 D and a #1 out of 1 draft, and I think they're basically all guarantees. It's a shame about that Stromberg error that led him to fall that low. Would have been taken higher otherwise. The only 2 questions are if Daniel (Aamo) and Tagger (Preencarnacion) stay active. That will be the big thing regarding Riga's future.

    4. Davos or New York. New York only had a late pick in Victor Ball, who might end up being nothing. Davos at least got Jacob Smith who is active now.

    5. Stromberg is the biggest steal. Alvaro Jokinen I would say might be the biggest bust, but Quebec just traded him for a 2nd. I guess at the very least they got a free 2nd rounder out of him, but there were names that Quebec could have taken instead rather than waste a pick on a guy you know you have to trade to Davos. Other than that, it could be Tagger's player? I love the guy, but last time he had a player, I drafted him and he was gone right away. Aackckqz Ky, the defenseman. Although that player was more of an experiment from him anyways, and maybe the motivations weren't there to keep him active.

I'm just answering this out of kindness. I can't claim this shit.
