Gotta be one of the worst prediction results I've seen overall.

Gotta add something VHL related to this piece. -
Wolski Looks to His Final Season Coming into this season, the VHL did not know what to expect from the DC Dragons. For awhile they were one of the top teams, but last season they had some big names retire. Big names like Benny Graves, Guy Lesieur, Cinnamon Block, Lewis Dawson, and more. Asking any team to follow up a contending season without those players is going to be a hard ask, but the Dragons went out there and made their push. Their big acquisition for this season was that of defenseman Alex Letang, who of course is a superstar player for any squad, and was going to be a very important piece for the Dragons if they wanted to go far. Not only that, but veteran goaltender Stone Wolski would have to put on a stellar season if the Dragons had any chance to make the playoffs, or win the title. DC was going to have to win a lot of games in the back half of the season if they wanted to solidify a playoff spot, and unfortunately for them, it just wasn't in the cards. The DC Dragons had a rollercoaster of a season, which they seem to often do, but this time it did not end well for them. At the end of the season they sit dead last in the North American Conference, and have one of the worst goal differentials in the league at -53. DC struggled a ton with consistency, and just could not get any big winning streaks going to end the season. Crazy enough, in their last 22 games to end the season, they only won 5 games. Obviously, that's horrible for any team, and especially for a team that was battling for a playoff spot. They fell apart when it mattered most, and there were no areas of the game where they could hold it together. -------------------------------- -------------------------------- Interestingly enough, goaltender Stone Wolski ended with a 92% in saves, and a 3.36 in goals against average. 92% is pretty decent for a goaltender, but the team had a difficult time all season getting consistent both defensively and offensively. There were a few games where Wolski put on a show and stole the win, but this team from what we saw was going to need plenty of those if they wanted to see the post-season. With that all said, next season will be Stone Wolski's last in the VHL, due to forced retirement. He has been hard in the gym making sure that he can come back next season and still be up to par with the rest of the VHL. "Next season will be my last, so I really want to go out there and make a mark. The ultimately goal is of course the cup, so the goal is for me to be competing and working towards that goal. The hope is that it's still on this team, but whatever the GM wants to do is fine with me. I have had my own individual successes over the duration of my career, but to me, that just isn't good enough. I want to win it all. I want to win the cup for myself and my teammates." - Stone Wolski on next season

I gotta ask for more out of your graphics. I want to see some improvement and you trying different things. You can't just type stats into what I think is MS Paint with 2 logos. You've used this same template twice already.

@Phil That's the alternate reality that I remember in my head.

Houston Times: Trouble in Houston?

It's relevant when you take the high ground and discuss being respectful to GMs. I'm happy you are where you're at these days. It's great for you and great for the league. -

It also wasn't fair to the GM who drafted you, Mikhail Vega in S61 and instantly going inactive after multiple conversations promising you were to be a trusted active. But it's just a sim league, so I didn't really care. Just like an article like this written by a player shouldn't be taken so seriously, IMO. It's a spicy storyline for his player to have that you don't see happen a lot. Upon first read, I didn't take this article as a big bashfest at all, but just as some sim league story controversy. -
1. I think we'll make it. I 100% believe in this squad. 2. We need Wolski to keep playing great down this stretch. 3. I started off rocky, and now I've been better. I hope I can continue to do so. 4. I've played for a lot of VHL teams over my career of players. I wouldn't mind playing for a team that I never have before. Helsinki, Chicago, London, LA, Malmo, Moscow, Prague, or Warsaw. 5. I might have to agree with Spartan's answer here. 6. Honestly, I have to say both. I've been on VHL for awhile, so I'll always be accustomed with the forums, but Discord just gets you faster access to users.

1. Thanks for nothing, buddy. 2. The goaltender, I'd say. Wolski needs to heat up. 3. Preventing pucks from going into the net. 4. Give the posts as many stick taps as I can. 5. The DC Dragons have partnered with the Calgary Dragons of the SHL to bring chicken parmesan meals to the arena. 6. I've been in the SBA for years! Currently Garrus Vakarian in Miami. Love that league, and very glad the SBA/VHL affiliation is happening otherwise I wouldn't be in both.

Ya'll just got Wolski'd.

@Alex_J32 If this is your first attempt, I think you're well on your way.

@jpach I'll approve this one but just know that using jersey templates to make graphics doesn't usually count for a full 6 TPE. They're more meant for VHL.com, 2 TPE stuff.

DC is very interesting this season, in that we have been garbage and so has my goalie. Very interesting.

1. I think there's a chance we could come back roaring after our poor start. I don't see why we have played as bad as we have. 2. I think we'll start getting more wins and rebounding back. 3. I don't think anything. Wolski has this season left and 1 more. Why not keep him around until he retires and just try again next season? 4. All I really want is a trophy, but some individual awards would be great for the team. 5. Just play well as a goalie and not be a liability to the team. 6. I'm a fan of Winter/Spring because it's snowboard season.

The NEW Calgary Wranglers

You gotta use some higher quality renders, man. There are plenty of programs including the ones I mention in DM that won't kill the quality of the player renders you are using. -
1. Horrible. I think everyone in our LR expected better, and we really wanted to give our retiring players a last hurrah. 2. Nothing but train. I want to come back strong next season, and I don't want to be too affected by my age. 3. Hell yeah. Big party for all the retiring players! We have a lot of them. 4. The youngest player! 5. As long as you perform on the ice, I don't care what you're eating. 6. Netherlands!

Questions in DC After making the playoffs in Season 76, the DC Dragons were hoping to make an impact in the post-season and make a strong push for the cup after all of their efforts. They have a number of retiring players on their team, and were hoping to capitalize on that and get a championship before these players end their respective careers. Unfortunately for the Dragons, this did not happen and they were eliminated by their first playoff opponent. That Conference Semi-Finals round match-up between the DC Dragons and Vancouver Wolves did not go as expected for many. A lot of people thought this was going to be a big series with some strong goaltending, and some back and forth scoring. This was not the case, and Vancouver's Jimmy Spyro stole the show for the Wolves made goals very hard to come by. Stone Wolski on the other end had a difficult time stopping shots, and the Dragons paid for it. The Vancouver Wolves won the series 5-1 and the Dragons just couldn't get the goals or saves that they needed to advance in this series. Jimmy Spyro saved 153 of 163 shots over 5 games, which was good for a 93.9% in saves. Meanwhile, Stone Wolski for DC saved 180 of 197, which is good for 91.4%. While that's also a respectable number, it's clear that Spyro was the better goaltender here, and one of the main reasons that Vancouver on this series handily in 5 games. ----------------------------------- ----------------------------------- After their early exit from the post-season, there will be many questions for the DC Dragons. Benny Graves, Guy Lesieur, Cinnamon Block, Lewis Dawson, and Alek Andreshnikov are all retired after S76, and obviously players like Graves, Lesieur, and Block were huge for the Dragons. What they do still have in DC is a strong goaltender in Stone Wolski, who has 2 seasons left until he retires himself. Then they have Catowize, Dood, Mann, and Philliefan, with some prospects coming up as well, and quite possibly some other things I forgot because I do not pay enough attention to everything in the VHL these days. They are going to need to sign some big name Free Agents in the off-season or come up with another way to compete heading forward. Regarding goalie Stone Wolski, the guy is going to have to go through regression for his final 2 seasons, so it is going to be interesting to see what happens in the rest of his career. He has let it be known that he will be a Dragon until he retires unless his GM has other ideas, and so he is staying in DC unless other ideas unfold. Stone Wolski: "I just want to go out there for my final 2 seasons and win a championship. I want to bring DC a championship. I believe even this late in my career that I still have what it takes to be a top goalie, and I am not done yet. It will be sad to see my long time teammates go, but that's the sports world and these things happen."

1. I wish we could have gone further in the playoffs. My answer here would have been yes. 2. Nothing, to be honest. I'm Head of PT and BoG already, and I've done VHL GM before. I'm in charge of the Updaters so I know what that's about too. I'd probably be open to simming one day. 3. It's hard to really choose just one person as a favourite. I have a number of them. I know it's controversial, but I would throw gorlab into my top list. He always makes things interesting and entertains me. Also helped me out with graphics many seasons ago when I was horrible. 4. Win harder. I don't know. We've had great teams with some great runs at the cup. I wouldn't ever give advice in that regard, I don't think. 5. Xavier. Dude always shines when out of his equipment. 6. I thought we could. I still think we can with a re-sim.
