  1. "Hello?" Ryuu would say, the microphone screeching with feedback. As he looked at the sound guy, who nodded back at him he began the Press Conference.
  2. Please do, we really wanna stay with each other.
  3. In real life I am actually Filipino! Let's make the Manila Baluts a VHL Team!
  4. Saskatoon-The season has ended and so does Ryuu Crimson's rookie year. Ryuu Crimson finished the season with 10 Goals. Drafted late into the season, Ryuu Crimson wasn't much of a goal scorer, but with hard work, dedication, and with help from veteran players, he was able to turn into a goal scorer. "Heck, I was surprised I got 1 Goal. I usually rack up penalties but I only managed to get a few penalty minutes. For me, this is a step in the right direction." Crimson said about getting 8 goals. Ryuu Crimson is now 13th in the VHL Draft and he is hoping to get drafted by the Reign or the Wranglers. "The Reign because some dude predicted it and now I kinda hope I'm with Riga. The Wranglers because Calgary was my home and I would be proud to play for my city." He still remembers the first goal vividly. "Season 61, Game 81, against the Las Vegas Aces. I got the goal and I still have the puck. This is the first step I need to take to become a VHL Player." Despite losing in the first round, Ryuu has enjoyed this season and hopes that, if he stays in the minors, that he stays with the Wild.
  5. Rural Baguio-At the request of his new pupil, Ethan Kapuan, and due to his heritage, Ryuu Crimson has flown in from Saskatoon to show some kids the beautiful sport of hockey. He even brought Ethan Kapuan. "Many people know I am Japanese, but my mom is Filipino. Yes I am half Filipino. Japan is already somewhat aware and good at hockey. But the Philippines, of course because it's a tropical country with no snow and winter, they are barely aware of hockey and there are not much fans. If we managed to pull this off, a new market could open, plus, many opportunities would be opened." Ryuu Crimson brought equipment for kids and bought them autographed sticks with pucks for everyone. He brought synthetic ice and set up a rink. He, Ethan and a few other kids from Canada played some exhibition games so kids could see what it was like. Slowly, one by one, kids joined and they had 25 kids, not a bad start. Ryuu Crimson gave them gear and he teached them how to skate. After they had mastered skating, which took about 45 minutes, he gave them sticks and pucks and showed them how to stickhandle. He gave them jerseys. "I think they can do it. Besides, in the 2017 Southeast Asia Games, the Philippines won Gold. This shows that despite hardships, Filipinos can do it." Crimson coached them and taught them shooting, aiming, checking, and how to exit and enter the bench. He was really impressed at how fast they learned. "They learned everything faster than I expected. Language wasn't much of a barrier, I know a bit of Filipino. Even if they didn't understand me, they did everything correctly. I am so excited to hopefully see some of these kids become Hockey Players and maybe even join the VHL." For the Goalies, he taught them the same things as everyone else, but Kevin Weekes video chatted Ryuu Crimson which turned into a video coaching session. "They are really lucky, Weekes, he used to be in the NHL and he is really good. He taught them so well. There was this kid who was really small, not the size you would expect a goalie to be. But he played like he was a giant. I tried shooting on him, I tried my best, and either this kid is amazing or I suck but he saved every shot." After learning they had a little scrimmage, separating the kids into two teams. They had a proper 60 minutes game with all the rules. One team ended up winning 3-2 in overtime. Throughout the community all you could hear was cheering. "These aren't city kids. But with hockey they were still able to do a lot." "Experiences like this is why I want to be a coach when I retire. Coaching younger generations feels amazing."
  6. Thanks dude! Plus Dylan is on here too! I hope I get drafted to the Reign!
  7. Yeah, for some reason I can't add my Banked TPE to my stats. Any advice?

  9. Saskatoon-Yesterday, Dylan Nyugen, Ryuu Crimson, and Kevin Weekes visited a Local Ice Rink in Saskatoon to surprise kids who were promised for the Wild Mascot to visit them, but waited for nothing. So Dylan, Ryuu and Kevin went to pick them up and brought them to the Wild Arena. They gave them their own jerseys with their numbers and they played a game against each other. It was treated like a VHLM game with the goal horns and the announcers. The seats were full and the kids had the best time of their life. "I was so touched by how happy they looked when we appeared. They were so happy." Ryuu Crimson said. One of the parents said, "Hearing my son's name when he scored a goal was the best thing ever. I am so proud of him and I am thankful this happened." And one of the kids, Goh Lee, said, "Being the goalie was so awesome, thank you Dylan Nyugen, Ryuu Crimson, and thank you to my most favouritist Goalie in the world, Kevin Weekes! As soon as I saw him, I swear I fainted." Ryuu says that he wants to do something like this again, and hopes to watch these kids become stars. "There was this Left Winger, Ethan Kapuan, he was so shy but he played like a NHL Player, I really hope I get to see him become a VHL Player and hopefully mentor him. That's what I love about doing stuff like this. Seeing them accomplish their dreams and knowing you were a part of that is amazing."
  10. Saskatoon-"I love Saskatoon, I loved it then, I loved it now, Saskatoon will always be a part of me." Ryuu replied to a reporter who asked him what he thought of Saskatoon. It has been a while since he signed with the Wild, and he is absolutely loving it. "Despite the losses and the failures, I have still been able to grow and just being in the Pro Leagues is awesome!" Scouts said that Ryuu was really strong and hits a lot and is reliable when it comes to "getting dirty" (to which Vyacheslav Smirnov said "F*** yeah") plus, they mentioned that he got 100+ Penalty Minutes in 1 season. They also said that he wasn't a good stickhandler and would not get goals in the net. To which Ryuu was like, "F*** you guys" and scored 6 goals with 4 assists. He also has 30 hits, still having that physical aspect, but he has the discipline to not pick a fight every single second. Want proof? He has only had 6 penalty minutes so far and has had no penalties in the past 15 games. "Hey, I'm just gonna be physical, but I need to learn how to keep my cool and not start some stupid sh** that could screw us over. I'm not in the Victory Hockey League yet but I still gotta be able to keep my cool." The Left Wing got his first goal on Game 81 this season, the first goal of that game. "I remember hearing the goal horn and asking who I just assisted. The coach laughed and said I did. Dylan gave me the puck, we taped the puck and I was so happy." He scored 5 more goals and has been working on scoring and stickhandling. "So every day I wake up, I bring out some of the Green Biscuits (that Dylan helped me modify so it was the weight of a real puck) in a box in me and Dylan's room, and we just practice our stuff, do our drills. I usually start off by closed eyes stickhandling, making sure I go all 4 directions. If I did it successfully, I move on, if not, I try again. I do that with the other activites I plan out, like hit the targets, hit the crossbar, backhand targets, and even one handed stickhandling." He says he doesn't pay attention to what Dylan does but he thinks that Dylan is doing some pretty intense workouts, "I think he's the kind of dude who would do 100 pushups. He's strong, he has the willpower, and he wants to be the best. At this point, I think he will be. He has 9 goals, which is more than I have, he has a hella lot of assists, and is one of the best defensemen I have ever played with." "Being on this team and meeting these people is the perfect ending to this season."
  11. How do you set a sig? Anyone know?

Click on your user name at the top right of your screen. It'll give you a drop down menu, your going to want to click on Account Settings. You will be brought to a new screen with various options on a left hand menu. From there click Signature, and the tab will switch to a Rich Text Editor similar to the field you post in. You can then click Insert other media at the bottom, and insert the link to image you'd like to set as your signature. You can use the RTE features like center align etc if you want to move alignments around.

  12. Yeah I agree, plus it's a perfect set up for shots. Also, the boards aren't in the way of your stick.
  13. Thanks man! It looks awesome!
  14. Ryuu Crimson Left Wing Hits Points
  15. So does the cap double as well? (So can I do a Fan 590 and a PT and they both double? Also does the Practice Facility double too? Or is it just the PT.) @Will
  16. Getting my first goal in the VHLM is my best memory so far!
  17. Saskatoon-Ryuu Crimson is the Wild's top line Left Wing. Sounds normal right? Well, if you look closely you might notice that the hand on top of his stick is his Left. Yup. He is a Right-Handed Stick user. "People don't usually notice, but when they do, they go crazy and question my sanity and my life decisions. I was so surprised when people would go crazy, until I realized that I should be Right Wing." Ryuu played as a Left Wing his whole life, and despite knowing that he is pretty weird when it comes to that, he still wants to stay Left Wing. "I mean come on, life has been good as Left Wing, so why change just because of my handedness, it's not the end of the world. Plus, being Left Wing has made for some pretty good setups." Not much people know that though, and when he tells people or they notice, it's as if they thought they were the only people that noticed. Maybe it gives him an advantage considering he's gotten 20 goal seasons when he was younger. "You know, it really makes for some cool goals, like I cross in front of the goalie but backhand the puck in the goal past the blocker side." He really likes being one of the only Left Wings that are right-handed. "Makes me feel unique. Also, it is a rarity for this to happen so goalies and players aren't use to players like me. Of course, I still suck and turnovers do happen, but it's still awkward to some players. It's also nice not having a board in the way of my stick." (Based on a true story, I am a Right Handed Left Wing)
  18. Saskatoon-The Victory Hockey League finally released the Victory Hockey League Draft Rankings and Ryuu Crimson was ranked at number 18, just behind fellow linemate Dylan Nyugen. "I find it quite funny that my Draft Pick Number is the same number as my Jersey Number, 18." Last Sunday, the Victory Hockey League released the VHL Draft Ranking, in which Ryuu Crimson was pick 18, Defensemen Dylan Nyugen was 17, and Kevin Weekes, former Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils goalie, was number 21. "Honestly, I kinda expected this considering we just joined pretty recently. I really didn't expect us to rocket through the charts, so I guess these numbers make sense." Ryuu Crimson has some hopes about what team he will be on if he makes it to the VHL. "If I make the Big Leagues, I really hope that I'm on Calgary. I've watched them and lived there most of my life, so it would be great to go back and play for my hometown." Ryuu Crimson was the second highest Saskatoon player on the list. "Strangely it didn't list Jordie (Jordan Tonn) and some other players. It's weird. I really hope they are on there and that is fixed soon. Unless there's a legitimate reason I don't know about." The Left Wing from Saskatoon also has some hopes when it comes to his teammates. "I really hope I wind up with Dylan as my defensemen and Weekes as a goalie. Dylan is great two-way defensemen and will get more goals than me, Kevin is a great goalie and will be a great fit in the Victory Hockey League. Also Kevin, being a veteran NHL player could teach some of the rookie goalies stuff. If I could play with Sergei Komarov or any of the Louths, that would be cool too." When asked about if he thinks he will make the Big Leagues, he responded, "I really don't know. I would like too, but cmon, let's be realistic. With players like Leph Twinger, Jordan Tonn, Billy Von Goon, Billy Pilgrim, Sergei Kovalev, there is no way I'm gonna make it before them. I would consider myself lucky if I even made it this season. I won't mind that much if I don't, considering I just got here and I'm a first year rookie." Crimson says he would be glad to stay for a few more seasons. "Yeah sure, I would be fine with a few years in the Minors. It's not like I'll become a prodigy overnight. It will take strength, training, effort, but also time. That's the advice I have for some people. The time will come when you are ready. Don't think that you will become the very best overnight." Ryuu concluded saying, "I'm proud of myself. I made it into the VHLM, and I got into the draft rankings. That's pretty good considering the short time I've been here. I could have down better, you know, focused a bit more on shooting and handling back in Juniors and before the VHLM but what's done is done. I'm excited to see what the future has in store for me. Hopefully not more egg rolls though."
  19. If the VHLM needs Balti-MORE teams then they could always make a team for Baltimore. Hahahahaha! No seriously please.

  20. Why don't both teams be in New York because you can't have a sports league without 2 NY Teams! (If you don't get it, New York has 2 NHL Teams and 2 MLB Teams.) Or we could have one of them be the Kansas City Giants cause everything is bigger in Texas! Or even better, I saw Dtayl's response and I agree: BALTIMORE! BALTIMORE!
  21. Desired Text/Sub Text: Just the Player Name Color Scheme: Red and White Anything Else: The Saskatoon Wild Logo (The VHLM one, not the real life one) Thanks @Pandar
  22. Saskatoon-Ryuu Crimson was invited to join Dylan Nyugen's camp and he accepts the deal. Dylan Nyugen's camp is a hockey camp where players like Dylan Nyugen and Ryuu Crimson teach the next generation of players. (Hopefully Saskatoon players.) "It's gonna be a fun time I bet. The experience will be awesome. I hope these kids can learn and grow with our camp as a tool. It would have been nice to have some VHL players like Sergei Komarov but then again they are probably busy and don't have the time." Ryuu fully supports the camp and hopes to be useful. "I mean, I'm some washed up Left Wing who so happened to be chosen by the Wild. It's not like I'm a superstar or a prodigy. I'm only a minor after all!" When asked about what he is most excited for, he replied, "Seeing all of these players grow up and become the next generation. Nothing is more cooler than knowing you helped to raise up the next Gretzky, or the next Crosby, and nothing is more cooler than watching them grow and playing in the Big Leagues." Ryuu Crimson's brother also joined the camp, hoping to improve. "He's at a good age, this camp will sure help him. It's also cool because my bro gets to meet some of my teammates and kind of see what it's like to be in the VHLM." He also fully supports the camp because he thinks every kid, rich or poor, should have a chance to learn, have a chance to play hockey. "Everyone deserves to play. Despite our differences, our money, our paycheques, our religion, colour or even number of pimples, everyone deserves to have a chance." Ryuu has some advice for the campers, "Try your best, be your best, and never not not not be your best, on and off the ice. Never not fear the egg rolls, seize your moment, have fun and for the love of God do not use the number 69." The camp is accepting 200 kids and it is first come, first serve, so reserve your spots quick. To contact Dylan Nyugen, message him at @Dtayl
