Jamie reacted to Cowboy in Brampton going all-in
Brampton Pulls the Trigger
After a 7-2-1 start to the season with some troubling results, the Brampton Blades decided to make a major change to the roster after only ten games. With Bratislava in full-on sale mode, Brampton managed to pick up two important pieces to their playoff push. In a late night deal Fong managed to pick up S42 center Sam Teibert (6G, 7A, 13P) and S40 defenseman Danny Schneider (4G, 9A, 13P) for an S44 1st, 3rd, and S42 backup goaltender Ivars Klejums.
Teibert should fit in nicely with one of the top two offensive units, though his arrival will probably push Yannik Zug (2G, 11A, 13P) or Mikko Koskinen (4G, 5A, 9P) down to a rotation on the 3rd or 4th offensive unit. While Teibert can play in Brampton for a further season, Schneider is strictly a rental since his eligibility is up at the culmination of the current season. Schneider's likely destination in the lineup is on the second defensive pairing alongside Jack Harkness, while Franklin Romanowski and Gunzerker Salvador populate the first pairing. Fowll and Voss will see a major hit to their icetime, but with the massive ability gap between them and Schneider there's not many other options.
The arrival of Teibert will probably help maximize the potential of rookie center Bronson Faux who has been a steady performer thus far.
"We're expecting big things from Bronson, he has all the skills and definitely the determination to break out of the pack later this season. Adding another highly-skilled player to the second unit should only help boost production there. The line of Valentini, Faux, and Teibert could be a top line on almost any other team in the VHLM this season so we're really looking forward to what the rest of the season brings," commented Brampton Assistant General Manager Benoit Devereux.

Jamie got a reaction from JardyB10 in Brennan McQueen
Obviously McQueen is going into his last season. It's been a good career thus far and hoping I can have an amazing performance for the last season and maybe get into the HOF. Upset that we couldn't repeat but was glad to have gotten a Cup with our core in Riga. I'd like to thank Phil, Mike and Eaglesfan for being the main core that stuck around for so many seasons together and especially Flyersfan who was my GM and got me a Cup in the VHLM and then became my GM and got me a Cup in the VHL. Class act and I love all these guys.
Very happy with how my player turned out on my 3rd attempt in the VHL as he has been a hitting machine and while offensively has been disappointing at points, he's done fine enough.
After much deliberation about quitting the league after this player, I've recently had the urge to have a new player and so I'll be recreating and see how it goes. Can't give up my addiction just yet.
Any questions or whatever, thanks!

Jamie reacted to Higgins in S41 Hall of Fame Induction
Welcome to the S41 VHL Hall of Fame Induction ceremony!
----------------
First up tonight we have the big center from Stockholm, Sweden. Niklas Lindberg was drafted by the Toronto Legion in the Season 33 Entry Draft in the 2nd round at 12th overall. Little did anyone know that this second round pick would later become inducted into the VHL Hall of Fame. Lindberg quickly started to build his reputation by winning the top rookie award in Season 34 to start his career. He helped put Toronto back into championship contention in the late Season 30's and won his first Continental Cup in S37 with the Legion. For Season 39 the Swedish native was dealt to his home countries team, the Vasteras Iron Eagles, where he would win a Scott Boulet trophy. In Season 40 he was traded to the Riga Reign for his final season and managed to have his best season winning his second Continental Cup and three other major awards including most outstanding. Welcome, Niklas Lindberg to the VHL Hall of Fame.

Two Continental Cups (S37, S40)
Next up we have one the best all around players from the Season 30 era. This Norwegian native has been turning heads in the VHL since he was drafted in Season 33, for better or worse. Odin Tordahl was drafted by the Toronto Legion 3rd overall in the Season 33 Entry Draft and immediately joined the team. After only one season he was traded to the Helsinki Titans where he would pick up his first Continental Cup championship in Season 34. In Season 36 he signed with the Davos Dynamo and really started to come into his prime as he picked up his first of many individual awards, a Scott Boulet trophy. He also won his second Continental Cup with the Dynamo. Next, Tordahl would find himself lacing up for the New York Americans, his final team. Tordahl went on to Captain the New York franchise and put up some of his best performances in the blue and red. He would win nine major individual awards and picked up his third Continental Cup while playing with the Americans, before finally retiring after Season 40. As he is arguably one of the best players of all-time it is only fitting that he is immediately inducted into the VHL Hall of Fame to go down in history. Welcome Odin Tordahl to the VHL Hall of Fame.

The VHL Hall of Fame Builder Wing
Finally tonight I get the honour of inducting the next builder into the VHL Hall of Fame. After stepping down from his VHL commissioner role this month it is the perfect time to add Victor to the builders wing of the Hall of Fame. He joined the VHL in April of 2009 and has become one of the defining members of the VHL over the past six years. He has created four players in the league, Trikamaki, Berger, Chershenko and Bentley, two of which are enshrined in the Hall of Fame, and has won a total of eight Continental Cups, tying him for second in the VHL. He also led a successful team in Davos as the general manager from S34 to S38 and also was the GM of the New York Americans from S15-S16. The players and GMing are merely footnotes in Victors VHL presence though. Through his time here he has held many jobs, including head grader, magazine writer, financier, and being the unofficial VHL historian. Victor has put countless hours into making the VHL run smoothly by doing many other tasks behind the scenes, like updating records, awards and much more. He was the face of the blue team for many seasons and spearheaded many important changes in the league during his tenure. I could say a whole lot more, but I'll end it here by congratulating Victor on being added to the Hall of Fame as a builder.

Jamie got a reaction from gorlab in S42 Should be a dandy
The past couple seasons it seemed as though the playoffs were set before the season even began. However; that is not the case for S42 as some teams look to come out of their rebuilds while a couple power houses look to remain on top.
In the North American conference we have the record setting New York Americans who look to fourpeat the Victory Cup as the best regular season team. Then you have the Quebec Meute who should try and challenge the Americans for that top spot. Those two should be shoe ins. Seattle and Toronto are in pretty even stages of their rebuilds and they should be battling it out for that final spot.
In the European Conference we have Cologne and Helsinki who should finally shine and battle for that top spot with Riga entering into a rebuild. But here is where it really gets interesting. While the Reign have sold off a lot of their pieces, they still sit with a couple superstars and even some decent depth on their team. Stockholm and Davos look to compete coming out of their rebuild so they should be the ones battling for that final spot but stranger things have happened and you could have three teams in the mix for one spot.
