Could bring about a 500K for 1 TPE, 5M for 10 and cap it at that for some extra buys. 1 PER season say? Stocks would only increase a few times per season? Say quarterly OR weekly? Makes people pay attention a little? Have a group of people called the "Bankers" on "Victory Street". This idea is giving me a chub.

I really like this. Often I catch myself going over the 1,000 word mark, so it will be nice to be rewarded for my work. Also nice I can get shit out of the way, do an entire months work at the start of each month and then enjoy the site without having to work about work or life conflicting with the league. Not a bad idea, boys.

Isn't carryover potentially 1-75 TPE? Is it really that big of a difference for it to cause someone to jump into the VHL with 75 TPE as opposed to starting in the VHLM with 30 or whatever.. This will just make sure I don't use carryover as it would make zero sense.

No. Activity check wouldn't bring about activity. Would be like another scavenger hunt or stat hunt. Find it, post it and move on. Easy, meaningless TPE. I'm simply saying, while I may be the dumbest person ever (hah), I don't see anything wrong with themed PT's. Does the SHL have them? YES. Does it drive in activity? YES. Is it fun to read some of them? YES. Is it easier and more enjoyable to write them? Sometimes. I see nothing wrong with a couple themed point tasks a season. While DT states SHL is SHL, VHL is VHL - there's nothing wrong with taking some good things and adding them to us. Being different is good, yes. Just because we have one thing that I can almost promise boosts activity in common with the SHL, doesn't make us them. OR, maybe we add some random discussions. We open up the floor for our reddit users. We have a bunch of people on here who came from reddit posting that they're not hockey fans. Why don't we open the floor to maybe earn a SMALL amount of discussion taking place in other areas of the board? For example, some people coming over from reddit or elsewhere may enjoy football, baseball, politics or movies more? Why not have them write up a 300 word article on some shit? Maybe Joey bats final home game with Toronto? Maybe they post a bunch and stuff? Find a way to get activity going in other areas that aren't considered tedious and potential "jobs" or "work" on the VHL. We come on and it's like " fuck, I still have to write a media spot, magazine article and blah blah". Why not allow members of all backgrounds to earn a little TPE for simply enjoying conversing with one another? Give them some motivation to speak in other places other than the main spots? @Beketov @Devise @Higgins

Not activity check. Themed Point Tasks. Example - You and 3 teammates throw a surprise birthday part for one of your teammates. Whose birthday was it? Who was there? What did you do and what events took place? ETC. If we're looking for different ideas, that's going to be tough considering all the leagues out there. As long as were not cynical like some who claim to want to be different, yet bring up ideas that other leagues are doing I like my finance shit then, lol. Let's build arenas and give us the option of purchasing teams. SHALL we bring in player agencies?

We're trying to look for ideas to improve the league and it's activity. For new and old members to enjoy the league more. I'm constantly offering up ideas that could make the league better. Weren't you the one crying about having one point task count for another one because some football league has that or something? Members stat hunt for free already. Also, I doubt new members give a shit about stats, nor really know where to look. Sure, it'll help them maybe learn the boards but there's not much significance behind it. Example. How many goalies to Maxwell score in S67? A bunch of members will look for the answers, private message "34" and then earn TPE for that. I don't see a large advantage or benefit for anyone.

@KGR What's funny about it? Yes, like the SHL does. Wasn't aware we had to be completely the opposite of them. I'm almost 100% confident it works for them. It adds variety and honestly, it's a lot more fun to write about some of the topics they make up then the same old bullshit I've been writing for the last 3-4 players. I look on the media spot section and it's the same old members writing the same old articles season after season with small variations to the words and topics. You can only regurgitate so much. The only thing that changes is numbers and names. If it's funny to you @KGR, I'm curious why it is and why it isn't a good idea? I see it as giving a fun topic to members to write about to earn tpe. Something they don't need to struggle with while thinking about a topic and something they may have fun writing and reading. Nothing wrong with variety. Nothing wrong with fun and making light of writing or graphics. Is it the same as SHL? Yes. So what..?
