  10. So you swapped positions or is it a new player? If it's a new player and this tracker was for a previous player, it is no longer claimable.
  11. Forsberg for 4. uhhh
  12. So, over the month of May there been a demon in the VHL closest of mine and that of course being the fact that I've had no motivation and/or ideas for writing. I think a lot of this could be the fact that everyday I've worked overtime at work and since the emergency we had a couple Saturdays ago, I worked 61.5 hours overtime and also took on working this Sunday as well. Furthering onto it, I haven't had the greatest drive to make one of my 2 players good. Between work, VHLM commish and a GM - it's a lot to tackle. Federov is coming along nicely and is my first dman EVER in ANY league. I want to try my luck and see If I have more luck making a dman than forward in the VHL. SHL I had quite a bit of luck. Forsberg, my GM player on the other hand, may dibble and dabble into the welfare life from time to time. Perfect 150 words. PEACE
  13. It's the unfortunate side affect of being a VHL general manager. Wolf could of continued to play on the Seattle roster, but for what purpose? What could would it have brought me? Him? The team? Other than potential, and very small chances, as individual accolades and accomplishments, there was no point on keeping him around or active. Regretfully, Sven Wolf has a lot on him as a player as he was supposed to be a big impact player for the Bears organization during our up swing. I created a goalie prior to him and retired him 180 tpe in or something because Seattle needed a center man if we were even going to think about contending in the next couple of seasons. Thus, Sven Wolf pops into the league. He wasn't in the league long. In fact, only a S50 player and still very young at first glance while skating for the Stockholm Vikings this season. Generally, it's never easy to have to lace them up early, put them away and start looking for a new job. As stated, for Wolf, its very early in his career and he may be going through a punch of thoughts. With average success and never an extremely strong break out year and zero cups to show for anything, its safe to say his career was a blended up bunch of average placed into one steaming pot of disappointment. Some though, may argue that. My career was my career. Vaguely put, it was both amazing and disappointing. I enjoyed my time in Seattle. The team was amazing and the guys were even better. We came together as a family and truly tried to push to make it all the way to the end. Year after year it seemed we pushed harder, became a tighter group. It just wasn't what happened in the end every time. We didn't win that cup. My rookie season there was embarrassing to say the least and the season following that I was also very, very unhappy with. VHL S50(SEA) 72GP | 4G - 27A - 31P | -20 | 120SHT | 1GWG | 12PIM | 62HIT | 10SB | 54.2FO% S51(SEA) 72GP | 15G - 40A - 55P | +10 | 188SHT | 2GWG | 24PIM | 51HIT | 12SB | 60.7FO% The next 2 seasons with Seattle were what I expected. I wasn't a goal scorer by no means, but the amount I got was something I at least wasn't upset about. It was expected. My assists and everything else were very good and my face off's percentage was coming along nicely and strongly. Seattle was pumping and I was finally coming along as a player - FINALLY. We chased the cup both seasons. We chased hard and despite coming up short each year, it was still a rewarding and enjoyable experience. The group of guys was amazing and after each loss, it was tough as hell. Things then went downhill, management started trading everyone and next thing you know - I'm on the move to Stockholm. S52(SEA) 72GP | 25G - 68A - 93P | +47 | 280SHT | 5GWG | 24PIM | 45HIT | 29SB | 62.8FO% S53(SEA) 72GP | 27G - 59A - 86P | +65 | 335SHT | 4GWG | 27PIM | 94HIT | 29SB | 64.3FO% This was it. Stockholm. Best team in the regular season. Biggest, best roster in my opinion in the league. Easy cup were my initial thoughts at the start of the season and end of the regular season. Hell, it was even my thoughts during the start of the playoffs. My experience here? Very little. Not enough for me to enjoy it. I never got LR access and was never apart of the team. Not overly too sure why I was never included in that but that easily could have made my second time around as a Viking a better one. So, we lost and I retired without a cup. I have some questions, some regrets and some wishes that I wish would have went the other way. Yet, it was a good run. It was a fun run. Maybe even one of my last strong ones. 14. We'll safely put any of this to rest for the sake of @NUCK being on here. I want him to enjoy the site and stay with the VHL for as long as he can/wants. He an excellent member. Thus, Nuck will not be drafted by the Seattle Bears (which is a shame - he's a really good member and we go back to when he first started on the SHL). Either way, we got a goalie who I trust in.
  15. Not happy about this result at all. Very, very poor season by Oslo.
  16. booooooooooooooo
  17. The Seattle Bears had fallen, got back up and now seem to be on their way back down. Scratch that. They aren't on their way back down, they're already down and we think this time it going to be a hell of a lot rockier than the previous rebuild/retool. The last time GM Campbell tore down the team, they had some pretty strong assets to assist in the rebuild which allowed them to push themselves further through it and in fact call themselves a "retool". This time, unfortunately for the Bears, is not the case. While they had some decent pieces to play with and managed to get some fair assets back from transactions, they're also nothing to run home and tell mom about. Quebec 1st, what will that land them? Some new member currently streaking that will bust in no time - a steal that proves everyone wrong or an average player that never becomes much but is always around the site? The question has remained all season long - what is the Bears true direction? We know they're heading into a rebuild, but what, who, when and how are they going to pull through it? Currently, they have a couple 1sts, but one of those are not their first from this season (which blows). Aleksei Federov and VVA remain on the organization as they were taken in the last VHL entry draft. What revolves around them is, will Campbell keep those 2, build around them, or try and send them packing and build around a strong draft to have all players the similar age? To comment on the Bears present and future, here is the man himself - GM Blake Campbell. Currently, we are in a very tough phase for the organization. There's a lot of unanswered questions, holes and places where we currently do not have a piece to the puzzle to fit. With only 2 pieces onto the organization, we at least have those figured out. We have strong faith still in Vernon Von Axelberry and we know what kind of player Aleksei Federov will have. Our concern over those two is this. We don't want to prevent them from having great careers. This rebuild could be over in 2 seasons, or it may be longer. Chances are, it's going to be longer. If we could find a suitor for these 2 players, that wouldn't be something we oppose. If they still, that is great too. We roll forward in our rebuild knowing that we have a strong goalie and defenseman. One more Dman and we cap off the back end, are strong back there and can start focusing on the forward part to our masterpiece, if you will. Currently in the draft, you got one stand out player in Felix savard. It's apparent he's the best and will be going 1st overall. It seems as though we have one round where players hold any sort of value. After that, it drops off significantly and to be honest, not sure how much those players hold right now. To be fair to them, scouting has not been something completed yet this season. One for sure thing of the upcoming draft is that we nab Swedish center, Mattias Forsberg. Unlike Aleksei Federov, he will not be a homerun and may be more like an "infield double", maybe triple if we're blessed enough. We've noticed he's slipped off the tracks of development lately and while this could be an Oslo program thing, we're concerned and there for our player. Forsberg was once rated by scouts of having the potential to become an elite 1st line center. Now, after further evaluation, has slipped down to a 1st line center who rounds out at about a point per game. We're excited for the off-season, and are ready to get that ball rolling in motion. Seattle's doors are always open to conversation from other GM's. For Mattias Forsberg (6)
  18. Struggling pretty hard last couple weeks. Worked 31.5 hours Saturday and Sunday alone - 15 today. Found a way to write an article today but always get stuck on what to write about and give up, lol. I'm sure I'll keep flying.
  19. Failing out on Forsberg and Federov. More so on Forsberg I feel.
  20. Sven Wolf has never necessarily been a household name in the Victory Hockey League, but when it came to the streets of Seattle, jerseys flocked everywhere, people knew the name and there was even a bar named after him downtown near the arena called the "Wolf's Den". We remember it just like yesterday. A young, eager, Swedish kid waiting in the stands for his name to be called in the VHLM draft. A kid putting on a huge amount of skills in the VHLM, eventually having his name automatically go to the Seattle Bears organization. Despite this automatic doing, Wolf had no complaints with his new home. In fact, he embraced the situation and over time became one of the faces of the franchise. A leader. An elite passer who was willing to put it all on the line for the chance at bringing a championship to his new home, Seattle. The chance at a cup came a couple times, however, the team never got to make it all the way to a cup or the finals. Despite the fact they didn't manage to reach the end goal, you'd have to think that over so many years of success and with the same group of people, you'd come to gain some pretty great memories in your career. The Bears organization called themselves a family and showed an extreme amount of loyalty right up until their dismantle a season prior. Though he is now a member of the Stockholm Vikings playing in his final season, we texted the Wolf of Seattle Stockholm to see what he looks back on during his time in Seattle. One of the biggest things I look back on was the journey as a whole. Joining the team, we were at the early stages of a quick paced rebuild. Then, we added an amazing, loyal and enjoyable group of guys that really made the place that much more of an experience. Together, we fought. We trained hard and all had the same goal clearly in mind. We wanted to win - but not just win. We wanted to win together. Year after year, we stuck together and every loss, it made us want it that much more together. We pushed, we really got into it. It's honestly a shame we never won a cup together. Hands down, even after a cup win this year as a possibility, would have easily been the highlight of my career. Next to that, it would have to be when Rodriguez switched to center and displayed a huge amount of loyalty and such to the organization. Without him, we wouldn't have been able to make the push and it showed me what it takes to be a great player. You don't always have to score goals, points or stuff like that. I don't want greedy people on the team. It's a team first guy you want and it always seems to work out good for them. Then we got playing with Maximoff. Always been a huge fan of him and his player agent and we go back quite a ways believe it or not. Maximoff is an incredible talent and the goals he puts up on a regular basis is incredible. It was a blast playing with him and a lot of fun. Didn't matter if it was in a game or practice, always lit the place up with good vibes. Last thing on the top of my head would have to be the ending. It really was shitty the way things ended. Funny to say that after just saying it was a good thing, but let me explain. It really was amazing spending all those seasons with the same guys, and to have it end and watch us all get traded, it really sucked. They were hard moves to make. That speaks volume I think. That's a pretty lucky situation to have such a good group of guys that it's hard to do something like that. I think that's what it's all about. Now, it's time to end everything off on a good note. Time to take the cup with Stockholm and add to the list of personal highlights in my career. For Federov (6)
