Blake Campbell came into the league, was eventually picked up by the Minot Gladiators and then had his ass parked on the seat for a huge portion of the season. The following year, he became a Free Agent and signed with the future Founders Cup champions the Brampton Blades. With the season ending on a high note, he now is off to the big leagues where he'll finally suit up for the Stockholm Vikings. However, the Vikings had picked up Brick Wahl who will be taking the reigns for this season. Thus, Campbell is once again a number 2 - just in a different situation. It was tough to push through my first season playing limited minutes but I did it because I had a goal in mind and I wanted to reach it and pass it. I did and the following season myself and Brampton were crowned champs. Over the last season and since being drafted by Stockholm, I've gained a good relationship with boubabi and Stockholm players and other management. They made a lot of moves to ensure I was the future between the pipes. I'm young and I'm still not quite at the level where I can consistently and confidently match up against my opposing shooters. I think having Brick Wahl here to learn from will actually benefit me more than me going out there and potentially getting slaughtered all year. He's already helped me a bit with practicing and development. Campbell also knows that IF they split time and he wants to play, Brick Wahl loses his shot at making it to the VHL HoF. He briefly commented on this. I've spoken to both Wahl and Stockholm management regarding it. I want to see him go out with a bang and although a hefty sacrifice, I think it's the right thing to do. Of course, it would suck to sit out but I think it is the right thing to do. As a goalie, you need to earn your right of passage. That's what this seasons all about and I get to learn from one of the best. I'm actually pretty excited to share the net with such a great guy and fellow goalie.

Brick Wahl to Split Starts? Ends Chances at Hall of Fame?
Banackock replied to Advantage's topic in VHL.com Articles
Glad to have you aboard man. Like I told you during our talks, as much as it'll suck to sit out for my 2nd season out of my 3 year career pretty much - I don't want you missing HoF because of me. I've worked my ass off to catch up to people because I had a later start than most - but you've worked your balls off too and I'd love to see a current teammate end his career off huge and end up in the HoF. Whatever happens, happens. Let's go get that cup though!! -
Congrats to Cola on goalie of the year! Well deserved! Same to the rest of the winners!

And you're invited. Some players take it to their hometown and show it off to their parents, family and the community. Some take it to Disneyland, others to Disneyworld. For this seasons champions, the Brampton Blades have combined their "days with the Founders Cup", where they're able to do whatever they want with the Founders cup during their 2 days with it. What are they doing to celebrate you ask? Well, they're heading to the Caribbean and they're throwing a party. They sent out a massive guest list and names on it include Jarret Stoll, Charlie Sheen, Wayne Gretzky, Seth Rogen, Snoop Dogg, Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Jamie Benn and more, along with musical guests ACDC, Eminem, and more. Of course, everyone on the beach is welcome to get down and dirty with the cup winners as they party the night away as they celebrate their last "hoorah" together. "We had a hell of a season. We played our hearts out from start to finish and showed great responsibility for ourselves and the team. We didn't fool around and did what was needed to be done. Now, it's time to enjoy it a bit and feel good. We're going to the Caribbean and have rented out a beach for a week and it's this week long fuckfest. All of us guys decided to put our 2 days together because we want to do this last thing together. We've done it together since the start, may as well finish it together. We have tons of celebrities RSVP'd already and it's insane. Out of everything we make, we've decided to donate half to charity and the rest towards the community of Brampton by building some skating rinks for winter. Total people expected: 6,451 RSVP'd (VIP), 20,000+ on the beach area Cost per VIP area: 600 per ticket x 6,451 = $3,870,600.00 Cost per beach: 50$ (not including booze profits) x 20,000+ = $1,000,000.00+ Booze profits for the week: $7,000,000.00 ------------------------------- $10,870,600.00 estimated Sunday, APRIL 26th to Sunday, May 3rd - KICK it off SUNDAY NIGHT, END er SUNDAY NIGHT

Woooooo!! Good, close game though, Oslo! Expecting a tough next game! Let's go Blades!!

The first two have come and gone and we've seen the Brampton Blades and the Oslo Storm each take a game so far. In game one, the Brampton Blades managed to come out on top with a 4-3 victory as Delicious and Wilcox handed it to the Storm. In game two, the Storm managed to strike taking it 5-3 in a very good effort from Kingma and Cola. The third game was a big one between these teams as the one game advantage in the series would be a nice comfort to have in the VHLM Finals (especially between these two explosive teams). The third game of the series seen a lot of action and very few penalties which is a huge change compared to game one (9) and game two (8). The first period seen the Oslo Storm fly out of the gates and score a Power Play goal less than 6 minutes into the game. However, as the period grew later and later, they started to play tag with the goal scoring and managed to end the period at a 2-2 tie. The second period was very well played by the teams, although no one was able to capitalize on any good scoring chances. We go to the third period still tied at two. The next period is the biggest one of the series hands down! Then the game ended the same, yet opposite way of how it started. With less than 6 minutes gone by in the first, the Oslo Storm started the game and with less than 6 to go in the third, the Brampton Blades managed to end it. The magic pair of Wilcox and delicious came streaking up the ice passing it back and forth until Wilcox gained control over the oppositions blue line. Wilcox made a nifty deke passed the Storm's defensive pairing and shoved it in front to an alone Vincenzo Valentini who roofed it upstairs on Coca Cola. Game over. The Brampton Blades have taken the lead in the series, 2 games to 1, and are now riding with full confidence. Although out shot in game three 35-27, they received a huge effort from goaltender Blake Campbell who managed to turn all but 2 shots aside for a .943 SV%. Even though he may have got cheated for being one of the three stars of the game, we managed to catch up to him and talk about his teams and his performance during game 3 and the series. "It always feels great to get the W, especially when you're the guy in net. For me, there's a lot of pressure to play good and play big. If we lose, or have trouble during a game, a lot of it's on me. If you don't have a guy you can have confidence in and depend on in net, you got a problem. Everyone has their offs game and throughout the season my numbers could have been stronger. It felt really good knowing that that strong performance was well rewarded. I felt good and things seemed to almost be in slow motion for me out there. Now we're up 2-1 and riding into game 4 with a good feeling. The boys have done great so far and we're finding ways to get the job done effectively. Now we need to carry this momentum into game 4.

Holy! Kingma with 12 shots. Sorry buddy!

Nice. It's about time!

VHLM Mag predictions are fairly spot on thus far. Can't win games when you take 7 penalties to their 1. Still managed to make it a game though while being short handed that often.

There's been blood, a whole lot of sweat and probably the odd tear or two from around the VHLM this season. The 72 game season has now come to a close and the playoffs are about to begin and that means team will be stepping it up even more or atleast we hope so. For one player, Blake Campbell to be specific, it's one of the biggest points in his career. His first season he sat on the bench most of the year and this year was his first behind the wheel. Posting impressive numbers on a very strong team, he advances to the playoffs for the first time in his career during his first season as a starter. " I knew back at the start of the season this was one of the top teams to sign with and I'm happy I made that choice. They gave me a great opportunity and I hope they're happy with how I've performed for them. This is my first season as a starting goalie in juniors and my first crack at the playoffs. Am I nervous? No. You can't be. You got to block that stuff out of your head and just play the game you know how to. Play you best game. I'm ready and very excited to lace em up, throw on the pads and play my heart out. 228 words

What crossed my mind along with the wires was how did they not hear the 20+ some walkers inside of the truck trailers? and usually they'd bang on the trailers you'd think first unless they're trying to kill off a black character.
