  2. 1. Good, means we get a good pick, but obviously not fun 4. Don't really have one, biggest joke though is Shawn as a GM 5. A defensemen, Bushito would be nice, same with Trifecta 6. Hell yeah Shawn will protect me. I'm his prized possession 7. Crack, a picture of Katie Warren, and my VHLM MVP trophy 8. Jokes on you, you wouldn't find anything cause Dahlberg doesn't have a car after getting a DUI
  3. imagine getting swept in the playoffs, Davos wouldnt know
  4. Boycotting it cause Dahlberg got FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY
  5. VHLM: Scoped Jan 24 - Feb 3rd Games 154 - 216 Nyko's Message So since not enough people read my last scoped. @DilIsPickle whipped me and it hurt bad. So to save my back, please read this. Thanks. Anyways the regular season has now concluded, and its playoff time for everyone (except Yukon). This time I'm going to be adding a special category highlighting the playoff matches, and my predictions for the series. Also trade center is gone for this time, cause ya know, trade deadline and all. Milestones Milestones are recognized throughout sports, when a rookie scores his first goal he keeps the puck. Players are celebrated when they hit 100 goals, 1,000 games, 50 shutouts. Just like nhl.com's milestone watch, I'm going to be do something similar, where I take the players and show how close they are to hitting a special VHLM milestone. Also RIP to most of the people who are just short of a milestone, because if they graduate they'll never be able to hit it Points: 1. @DilIsPickle 4 off from 150 2. @kayfabe just hit 100 3. @Thranduil just hit 150 Goals: 1. @wcats 1 off from 50 2. @DilIsPickle 3 off from 75 3. @Eparker24 5 off from 50 Assists: 1. @Philliefan 6 off from 100 2. @Matt_O 8 off from 100 3. @Thranduil 9 off from 100 Wins/Shutouts 1. @DrHexDex 2 shutouts from 10 2. @Bonzaijoe 3 shutouts from 10 3. @Devise just hit 50 wins Games of the Week The VHLM is full of many interesting, exciting, and just plain out weird games. Some games are blowouts, some are high scoring, and some games are very tight. This part of the segment will highlight the 3 games which I think were the best games during the whole week. Game 170 - YUK vs HFX *Checks scores* "Oh this game has Yukon in it, definitley a blowout"... it was. To open the first Bolt Vanderhuge scored 2 minutes in on the powerplay. Then Diljodh followed with another goal on the powerplay to put Halifax up 2-0. MacKinnon and Edvin both scored after to end the first with Halifax up 4-0. The 2nd period would tell a similar story. Glover sends one past Pekka Pouta and Vanderhuge finds another on the powerplay. Fish scores the 3rd goal of the period, and again on the powerplay Vanderhuge pots one, giving the defenseman a hatrick in this one. In the 3rd Yukon is finally able to light the lamp with Foxxe finally being able to beat Smith. Yukon starts to mount the comeback as Thomas and Van Roosen also score 2 more. But Fish puts an end to that on Halifax's lethal powerplay as he scores the game winner and his 2nd of the night. Game 169 (nice) - LVA vs OSL Vegas are the top team in the league right now, everything has clicked for them and it shows in their complete offensive dominance, but Oslo had the counter to this gameplay style. James Lombardi opened the scoring on the powerplay, but Connor McDavid answered and the game is 1-1 going into the 2nd. This time Vegas scores first in the period, as Eric Parker pots one, Oslo's Michael McConway scores his first of the season to tie it up at 2-2. Period 3 is silent as both teams can't find a hole in the other goaltender and the overtime is the same. This one goes to a shootout. Everyone misses the net, except for Sven Hitz, who scores the only goal of the shootout, and thus the winner. Game 176 - SSK vs OSL This game was a close one between the 4th and 5th seed of the standings, and may be close to the actual playoff series. This game focused on the defensive aspect of hockey, and clearly not the offensive, with only one goal scored.... or maybe the goalies wanted to pad their own stats, and not the skaters. In the first no one scored, but Oslo outplayed Sask, outshooting them 7-2. The second period was the same, but this time Saskatoon doubled their shot total to 4 in that period. The 3rd is where the only goal of the game came from, where Finn Schaefer put one past Sohva on the powerplay, and brought Saskatoon to the win, despite being outshot 12 to 19 Players of the Week 1. Joe Nixon @Bonzaijoe Joe Nixon has posted 3 shutouts this week, and has held many of the top teams to under 3 goals this week to help secure Vegas' position in the standings at first place. He's backstopped Vegas to many wins and his been a major reason to their success this season 2. Bolt Vanderhuge @kayfabe Bolt Vanderhuge has led Halifax to some much needed wins. He grabbed a hatrick in game 170 vs. Yukon and has anchored Halifax's very succesful powerplay. He tied Eric Parker with 102 points this season, but was able to score 4 more goals, which puts him in the top 10 for goal scoring in the league. 3. Nathan N @NathanN Nathan N was able to secure his position as the league's top scorer this week, beating out Halifax's Diljodh Starload by 1 point. He's posted a total of 113 points and 49 goals and has been a standout piece in Vegas' forward core. Playoffs Wildcard The VHLM playoffs are about to be in full swing, starting with the best of three wildcard that will see Saskatoon and Oslo playing first. This series will be a tight one, both teams don't have much offensive firepower and this one will be a lower scoring affair. Personally I think Oslo will take game one, but Saskatoon will take the other two and advance to play against Vegas. Semi Finals The two semi final matchups will see Halifax and Ottawa play, and then Vegas vs. Saskatoon (if they do win). Starting with the Halifax vs. Ottawa series this will be a fast-paced, high scoring one. Both teams have averaged a lot of goals each game, and have a high flying offense. Personally I think Ottawa is the stronger team, after acquiring Puigdemont and Jones from Oslo, but Halifax also acquired the 2nd highest scorer in the league, Diljodh. I think Ottawa will take this series in 6. Saskatoon vs. Vegas is the other semi's, where the best team in the league will face the 5th seed. Unlike Ottawa's lucky miracle win vs. Yukon, this one will be different. Vegas should demolish Saskatoon with multiple blowouts, Sask might sneak a win in, but I think Vegas will win, but who knows. STHS is weird. Finals My Predicted finals are the Ottawa Lynx vs. the Las Vegas Aces. A rivalry that started at the beginning of the season will finalize in this series, with the winner being proved the best. Ottawa will have made the finals 3 seasons in a row at this point and will be looking to win their 2nd in those 3. Both teams are very offensive, and have some of the best players in the league. Ottawa has great depth though, whereas Vegas has some of the highest scoring players like Nathan N and defenseman Eric Parker. I think Ottawa has a slight advantage because of their depth compared to Vegas. Overall I have Ottawa in 7. Power Rankings Last Week 1. Las Vegas Aces 2. Ottawa Lynx 3. Halifax 21st 4. Saskatoon Wild 5. Oslo Storm 6. Yukon Rush This Week 1. Ottawa 2. Las Vegas Aces 3. Halifax 21st 4. Saskatoon Wild 5. Oslo Storm 6. Yukon Rush Standings 1. Las Vegas Aces 2. Halifax 21st 3. Ottawa Lynx 4. Oslo Storm 5. Saskatoon Wild 6. Yukon Rush 1291 words but dont have to claim cause i got that phat VSN pay.

    TAMPERING

What the tamper did you just tampering say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the VHLM, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Riga, and I have over 300 confirmed goals. I am trained in hockey warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire VHL armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the tamper out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before in this sim league, mark my tampering words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, tamperer. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of Blue’s across the VHL and your TPE is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your career. You're tampering dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can beat your team in over seven hundred ways, and that's just by myself. Not only am I extensively trained in sniping, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the HC Davos Dynamo and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the VHL, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your tampering tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're tampering dead, kiddo.

  11. Hey, I almost forgot about the "protect 2 firsts for free rule"
  12. A Mock VHLM Expansion Draft The VHLM is ever expanding, and with the recent announcement by Beketov, GM’s in the VHL and VHLM are all scrambling and are making the tough decisions on who to protect and who to expose. Using my own, probably terrible protection lists I’m going to do a mock expansion draft for the VHLM Rules: Order will be determined randomly, and be conducted in a snake draft Each expansion franchise will get 3 selections Each team may protect 5 assets (players and/or draft picks in the next two Dispersal Drafts, and can only lose 1 asset to the Expansion Draft Each team may protect two 1st round picks without counting against the protection limit Protection Lists: Ottawa: Protected: Lynch (134 TPE) Draper (84 TPE) S65 OTT 2nd S65 OTT 3rd S66 OTT 2nd Unprotected: Rasputinov - 67 TPE Roll Fizzlebeef - 161 TPE Vegas Protected: Josh Harris - 161 TPE S65 LVA 3rd Kevin Weekes - 151 TPE Mitch Matthews - 141 TPE Rocky LaGarza - 118 TPE Unprotected: Fourier - 60 TPE Rykonen - 50 TPE Sulerzyski - 79 TPE Matthews - 157 TPE Saskatoon Protected: S65 SSK1st S65 LVA 1st S66 SSK 1st S66 SSK 2nd S66 LVA 2nd S66 HFX 2nd S66 SSK 3rd Unprotected: Kachur - 43 TPE LaVey - 61 TPE Schaefer - 30 TPE Baier - 50 TPE Backlund - 30 TPE Oslo Protected: S65 OSL 1st S65 HFX 1st S65 SSK 2nd S65 SSK 3rd S66 OSL 1st S66 OTT 1st S66 LVA 1st Unprotected: Koivuhaka - 53 TPE Toast - 76 TPE Harrison - 62 TPE Szita - 110 TPE Kai - 132 TPE And more players Yukon S65 YUK 1st S65 OTT 1st S65 YUK 2nd S65 OSL 2nd S66 YUK 1st S66 YUK 2nd S66 OSL 2nd Unprotected: Andrianopoulus - 80 TPE B.B Nat - 76 TPE Jessy Thomas - 72 TPE Foxxe - 34 TPE Renner - 53 TPE Ristau - 32 TPE Halifax S66 HFX 1st S66 HFX 3rd Edvin - 130 TPE Moose - 110 TPE Bald Guy - 139 TPE Kozlov - 145 TPE Unprotected: MacKinnon - 139 TPE Flipachyev - 116 TPE Other Roster Members Draft Since we don’t know the order of picking DahlbergRocks will represent the team with the first selection, and @PeaceSucks will represent the team with the second pick DahlbergRocks: Matthew Kai - 132 TPE Matthew Kai is the first selection of the expansion draft (as of today, might not be when the draft happens since he may be going up). Kai is an activer earner, improving his player each week. He’s in discord and active on the forums, making him a safe and good pick at 1st overall. PeaceSucks: Nathan MacKinnon - 139 TPE Nathan MacKinnon is one of the best VHLMer’s. His build has proven to work, scoring over 100 points in S63 with the proper ice time. Unfortunately he’s inactive, and isn’t earning any TPE. Still a good pick at 2nd overall who can be used as trade bait for a contender, or a core piece of a playoff run. PeaceSucks: S65 HFX 2nd Because of the expansion draft format as a snake draft, team two, aka PeaceSucks is up on the podium again. Since Yukon has almost the entire 2nd round, they aren’t able to protect all their picks. With Halifax’s season being worse than the other 2nd they exposed, Vegas’ team two selects this pick. 2nd rounders can turn into great VHLMers with good scouting, and having the chance of getting a player who could cap is great. DahlbergRocks: Nikita Flipachyev - 116 TPE Flipachyev is the second inactive Halifax exposed, and he’s also done good during his time in the VHLM. Another inactive like MacKinnon, he’s posted good numbers in some of the seasons he’s played. In S63 playing alongside MacKinnon he scored 48 goals and had a 98 point campaign, showing that with a good playmaker, he can easily score goals for the team. DahlbergRocks: S65 LVA 2nd With their last selection Team One will take the S65 LVA 2nd. Again, Yukon didn’t have enough protection slots, so they had to let the Vegas’ 2nd go. Like the same with the HFX 2nd, this pick could turn into a great player for the team, or maybe even the next VHLM superstar. 2nd’s are usually safe picks and this one is no different, especially in a solid draft class like the S65 one. PeaceSucks: S65 HFX 3rd With the last expansion draft pick, Team Two will take another pick. This time a S65 3rd. 3rd’s, like 2nd’s, can also turn into good players. Fun fact: Elias Dahlberg - the S63 VHLM leading scorer, points scorer, and overall MVP was chosen with a 3rd round pick. One thing we’ve learned - you can’t go wrong with picks. Unless your @Trifecta and picked a guy who says the hard R in discord and gets banned…. Then I guess you can.
  13. Expansions pretty cool, but the locations aren't. Except Minnesota, its usually cool there. Philly can be cool in the winter, but its warm in the summer.... I think. I'm actually guessing on all of these, since I've never been to these places. Speaking of never being to places, future expansions should be in places that aren't generic. We should expand to places across the world. Teams in Asia, think @Enorama suggested Shanghai, which would be a cool place to expand, that I don't think any leagues have a team there. A team in Sydney or Melbourne would be cool (Sydney Snakes anyone? no? just me? okay then.) A team in Africa or Greece or even Mongolia would be neat. Hell, lets do North Korea. Sim leagues aren't confined to geographical area's or timezones. There's no effect built in like jetlag to STHS. So why do we still stick with generic places like New York, Minnesota, Houston, and Philidelphia. We don't even have a team outside of Canada/USA in the VHLM, which I think is a necessity. The plans of Oslo to relocate to Minnesota were fine, since at that point we only had 1 American team, but Halifax in my opinion should've relocated, and Oslo could've relocated to a European city. There wasn't much of a reason to move Oslo to North America if the two expansion teams were already coming to the States. Anyways thats my rant on the expansion
