  1. Some questions for you guys:

    1. What are your opinions on the start of the season?

    2. What are your objectives for this season?

    3. Who do you think will take the Founder's Cup?

    4. The Storm are off to a very slow start, do you think they'll end up catching a rythm and climbing to the top?

    5. What is a trade that you would like to see in the Lynx?

    6. Who do you think is going to be in the last place this year?

  2. As we all know, we have the VHLM season right around the corner, and the hype is starting to build up. It didn’t look like it, but right now we have many teams who might contend for the title this season. However, it looks like the Storm are still in the top of the predictions. The season hasn’t started yet though and once we get our first games in we will see how the standings start to shape out.

Today, we are with Oslo’s star Carles Puigdemont and their GM. When we asked them about the goals for this season, they responded at the same time “The cup”. Such a good sign coming from both your star player and the GM. You’d expect Carles to be focused on his individual stats heading onto the VHL, the big league, but it seems like his mind is back once again on winning the cup.

We were talking about the moves heading into this season, and we asked Oslo’s GM, what do you have to do to win a cup in the VHLM. “It isn’t easy, but building a good team here isn’t as hard as it is on the VHL. Basically, you tank for a year or two, sell your good players for picks and hoard picks for the season that you want to compete. That same season, you trade your following season picks for players or picks for this season and you’re set to go, you’re a contender.” Is that all though? No, you still need a bit of luck. Sometimes players become uninterested in the game, stop practicing that much, putting in effort. That can mess your whole season. And then we have cases like the famous @FamishedBlanket, who got banned from the league for misconduct.” Do you think you can still win it all even though the bumps that you’ve had in the road? “Of course, yes.” Carles added “It’s not that we can, it’s that we will”.

The Oslo still have a very good shot at winning the cup, but in what was supposed to be their year, other teams like the Aces and the Lynx have emerged to threat their contending spot, and it now looks like they will have a very hard time if they want to win it all. We asked Carles which team worries him the mostIt’s probably between the Aces and the Wild. I know, I know, the Wild is kind of a wild guess, hehe, but I’ve known @Peacefor a long time and man, he can just pull prospects out of his ass, so I wouldn’t be counting them out until the end of the season, because if they make some trades they could be a very real threat.”

The Wild, Carles’ old team, has been acquiring a lot of players this free agency, mainly thanks to the fantastic role that Peace plays there as an AGM, and if some of these players turn out to be great and they can make some trade happen, they could be looking at a repeat at the cup.

  3. So, today we got to the Oslo training facilities, and let's just say, Carles shouldn't be listed at 220 anymore. However, he was seen doing high cardio excersises and looks to be on track to getting back to form.

We talked to Carles since he’s a great friend of us and he confessed “Yeah man… I don’t know, my family kinda goes crazy for Christmas, it’s just a bunch of festivities all piled up together and once you notice you’ve gained 20lbs and the season is about to start”. He seemed to regret a lot his choices and he didn’t let anyone take any pictures of him. He says “Once I’m ripped again you can take as many as you want, I don’t want Brick to leave me”.

And off he went back to his cardio. The VHLM season is about to start and Carles still wants to top the point charts, but right now the only thing he may top is going to be the next club dinner.

  4. 1. With the New Season looming what are your plans for your character? Any goals for the season stat wise?

I want to be up there in the points category, so Passing/Scoring is going to be my main focus

    2. The Recruitment Team is working hard to make the VHL a better place. What changes would you make if any?

No ideas as for now sorry :c

    3. Have you gone on the leagues discord channel yet? If so what are your thoughts? If you haven't why not? (Discord Link)

Yes! It's wonderful and I'd recommend everyone to join

    4. What team do you play for? Where in the standings do you think they will end up?

    Oslo! 1st of course

    5. Are you aware of the Recruit a Friend Program? Would you suggest the VHL to friends or family? (Recruit a Friend Link)
Yes, sadly Hockey is not popular at all here in Spain so recommending it would be a waste of time.

    6. What teams in the VHL do you think have the best shot at winning the cup? What team would you want to play for? (VHL TEAMS)

    CGY, rooting for @BladeMaiden!!!

  5. Today Ubuyalot and Haterade got eliminated from the tournament in the first round. We had the chance to interview the last #1 pick in the VHLM dispersal draft, Sir Carles Puigdemont.

Nobody had us as favourites, so I guess it really doesn’t come as a surprise for everyone, but we were convinced we had a chance and went 200% this tournament”. And the truth is that UB wasn’t so far from advancing to the 2nd round, losing a few games by only a goal.

We asked Carles about his future with the brand and he said “I can’t say anything yet, obviously playing this tournament alongside Gabriel, Edwin and the likes was amazing and I learned a lot, but I have to look up for myself, I think I’m worth more than a $250k contract”. Looks like he has already talked with the higher ups at UB and didn't like their answer.

Puigdemont was very disappointed in their first round exit and didn’t want to talk anymore to the media.

  6. 1. We had a influx of new members recently thanks to a big Reddit recruitment drive.

(If you are not new to the site) Are you scared about the new competition stealing your thunder?

Not worried at all. Carles has an edge on them by coming into the VHLM early and he's going to take advantage of that

    2. Do you have any idea for the Recruitment Team regarding new avenues to recruit new members?

Not any tbh, I'd just introduce some kind of mentoring system for the new guys

    3. Were you surprised that the Saskatoon Wild disposed of the Ottawa Lynx so easily in the VHLM Founder's Cup Finals?

A bit yeah, I expected to win but not this easily. Thought Dahlberg would make things a bit difficult, but he got outperfomed.

    4. Do you think the Calgary Wranglers have what it takes to complete the comeback over the Riga Reign in the VHL Continental Cup Finals?

The finals are over and they didn't have what it took. It was kinda obvious and it was a little bit of a surprise to have the Wranglers there in the finals, but we all knew Riga was the superior team.

    5. Any VHL team you'd prefer to be selected by in the next VHL Entry Draft?
No, I just want to be in a winning position. I understand that I might not be right away but that is my ultimate goal.

    6. What are your objectives for next season?

Dominate and make a case for the #1 pick of the S65 draft, not just because of TPE but because of numbers too. Can't wait to get the season started.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of interviewing the #1 pick in the VHLM dispersal draft and the recent winner of the Founder’s Cup, Sir Carles Puigdemont. Carles had a great run with Saskatoon posting 8 points in the playoffs, and from what we have heard and seen, he is making huge improvements this off-season. That is mainly why Oslo Storm, who had the #1 pick coming into this VHLM S64 draft, had no doubts in taking him first.

Puigdemont is a special player, someone who might be a generational talent at the rate he is improving and is ranked right now #1 for the S65 VHL draft. After the draft we could catch him with Brick and we had a talk with them.

We asked Carles what were his thoughts, coming late into the VHLM season, playing just a few games, winning a cup, and going first overall. “It sure is pretty overwhelming, things are moving very fast, just a month ago I came into the VHLM and now I’ve won the cup and I’m the #1 pick. The expectations are high, but I’m up for the challenge”.

We continued with our talk, but Puigdemont could not stop mentioning his time in Saskatoon. “It was just amazing. I didn’t expect such a welcoming when I came here into a league that was very foreign for me but everyone in the team was nice @Peace @BladeMaiden @Trifecta, etc.” then he looked over at Brick with the eyes of someone who is deep in love and added “I didn’t expect either to find the love of my life here, my dreams are coming true”.

Later we talked about what his expectations were coming into the next season with his new team the Oslo Storm and without hesitation he said Another cup, it’s the only thing that I’m looking for. I don’t care about the individual awards even though I wouldn’t mind getting some hardware for my trophy stand but my ultimate goal is repeating what we did this season with the Wild. I’m going to do whatever it takes to go into the VHL with 2 cups already under my arm and looking for many more”.

Carles sure looks to be an amazing prospect with a work ethic similar to Kobe Bryant, if he keeps this up he is surely going to be a beast in the VHL. He also has the fantastic support of his lover, Brick Wahl who promised us that he is going to be at every game of Carles that he can catch. He told us “I’d watch him just for the sake of seeing him and his sexy booty, watching him play the way he does is just a bonus”.

Overall, Puigdemont’s future is looking very bright for him, Oslo managed to accumulate quite a handful of picks coming into this draft and has put together a team that, while it may take a while for them to adjust and develop, is surely going to be at the top and a massive force in the playoffs.
