Kagamine is a good display name but I think I gotta take Rin instead

I think this message will count as my 500th post on the forums!

I've been gone for a bit, what is some interesting stuff I might have missed that I could talk about in a pod

Updated my Graphic portfolio. It's insane how much I've improved (In my own eyes) and just how many graphics I've made.

why do people get confused when I ask them what their preferred eye is? it's not that confusing.

Because "preferred" is a stupid way to put it. I feel like "good eye" would confuse way fewer people.
For example, my right eye is OBJECTIVELY the good one because it makes my vision perfectly clear overall even though my left is something like 20/300. I don't need glasses but closing the right eye makes it so I can't read anything at all unless I get really close to it. The left eye is marginally better at focusing at incredibly close range (i.e. the letters on my computer keyboard are clearer with that one when I put my face 2 inches away from it) but I've never found a real-world situation that worked better left-eye-specific.
Which one is better isn't a matter of opinion, so asking an opinion-based question about it would be (at least in my case) framing it wrong.

for VHL teams and five VHLE teams have scouted me

How is taking 1/3rd of your TPA 12%? Thing biggest thing that is broken in the league. I will always argue this is the wrong approach.
-
I assume you know this but it's 12% of the listed attribute numbers. Spending some amount to get to a 90 will get you depreciated by 12% of 90, which is about 50 as it rolls back to 80.
I think there are issues with depreciation but that itself isn't my issue with it. I think it's fair that higher earners who upgrade their players more also get taxed more when the time comes, because otherwise they'd just get to spend their last seasons widening the gap.
My main issue is with why exactly that 12% exists and how to get to it--you can avoid it entirely by just...not coming up to the VHL for a season. As a development league commissioner, this is something that infuriates me because I think the last thing we should ever be doing is giving any player a reason to not develop. And I get that it remains a personal choice whether someone comes up or not, but I think we'll see quite a few players making that personal choice a certain way because of what will happen to their player if they don't. I still take this as a reason why we should move to slowly phasing out the E, but until the other leagues have the space to take it on I won't be making a proposal out of it.

Well holy shit, I think you win. I completely forgot about that and I like that it's faded away. My relatively harmless candidates:
-The horrible S69 recruitment drive that gave us ~120 new goalies, none of which stuck around
-Me spending about $25 of my own money to mail a bottle of kranch across the continent and across a border to Beav (yes, I had to fill out paperwork)
-The absolute insanity that was VHLM GM chat in the mid-S60s

Has your update ever been denied by anyone other than Spartan?
-
I think I've been denied three times.
Once in my first season when I said "upvoted" in a Reddit recruitment thread and didn't specify which specific post(s) I upvoted, even though everyone did that both before and since.
Once far later (like a year ago maybe) for my .com article not being on-topic enough. I disagreed with it enough and was petty enough to make the article that was approved about how I didn't like the decision, but I guess the reasoning was fair.
Once a couple seasons ago for linking directly to my affiliate check claim in my update rather than posting in the affiliate check thread. I figured that would make it one less click to verify that I did the thing, but apparently following meaningless procedures is important to some.
The most fair one of those was Spartan (the others weren't) and I've never been denied for word count

I don't want to stop playing in a league that I have loved for 4 years. I will swallow my pride and continue to max earn. Thanks to my friends that commented.

Question for you gents: Where can I find all the draft classes? Been digging for a bit and can't find anything
-
sometimes ill think "oh ill make sense of a certain aspect of STHS and try and improve Miami" then i realize that the stats the team stats section of STHS gives isn't even correct
-
Yeah "I'll make sense of a certain aspect of STHS" pretty much invariably ends in either nothing meaningful being found or someone reaching an entirely incorrect conclusion and reporting it as scientific fact. The amount of times I've seen "STHS works this way" with either zero evidence, conflicting results, or some super broad assumption/cherry-picking far outweighs what I've seen that might actually be valid.

Why won't forum let me upload images greater than 78.74 kB? I don't think I even have a file that small

The Marlins logo is seriously ill suited to our cup banner design; that is all.

I miss the old days when a season could be 6 weeks or 6 months. The fun was in not knowing!
