@Dmo48 for sure, our league Discord is a great place to learn about the league and get your questions answered. The VHLM Newsletter, which I'll link here, is also a great resource when getting started as it's got a list of everything you can do to earn points, in writing. I'll also add my name to the list of "people you can message with any further questions," and I'd be willing to bet that any other GM or experienced member would be happy to help as well. I agree that joining just before the deadline doesn't do much for your player in the first season--I had a few active guys hop on board in Mississauga right before the deadline, and had they joined earlier, they would have been quite a bit better as they'd have had more time to develop. Lots of guys who join the league even after the draft do just fine, though--@rjfryman joined after the S65 dispersal and ended up going 2nd overall in the VHL draft, for one recent example. With this being said, though: there still has to be some cutoff point, and those cutoff points, when you think about it, will have to be a full season apart no matter how you look at the system. Those who join right at the deadline will always have an advantage, and it's simply "tough luck" to those who join at the end of a season's creation period. I agree that it's a bit unfair to those new members who come into the league at those times, but I don't know if there's anything that can reasonably be done about it.

If you're new, do you have any big plans for future submissions? 3. Describe what's good about this league in five words or fewer. 4. Do you know of any VHL players whose build you may want to emulate in the future? If not, find one, and say who it is here. 5. Look at the roster of Vancouver, as well as Helsinki and Riga (or, if the series is over by the time you answer, either Helsinki or Riga, depending on who won) and predict who will get the Cup in the finals. 6. If you could control where the latest expansion team were to go, where would you put it and what would you name it?

That's the first time I've seen anyone say this. Oh, ok. Makes sense.

What if we were to revive sig of the year, or do something similar--sort of a "sig of the season" VHLGFX competition, where, at the end of the season, anyone can submit what they consider the best sig of that season and a ranking vote can be done on that? It would be independent from VHLGFX, so this isn't about the VHLGFX championship (and, to answer your question, it doesn't matter to me). It's just the first thing that popped into my head when I was trying to come up with ideas.

Some say that the best way to get banned, without doing anything illegal or morally deplorable, of course (and, OK, fine, without making multis), is to repeatedly say the wrong things to the right people. Well, guess what, VHL--they can't ban us all if we do it en masse. Go for it! Also sure, I’ll sign up, who doesn’t love roasting the boss? Joined the first day the VHL was open, way back 12 years ago. Have never GMed but have done basically every roll aside from that at least once. Been blue team since 2017 and was one of the driving forces behind banning Boubabi. Also was the first player ever drafted in the VHL and subsequently the first player ever suspended in the VHL. #Bek4Roast? You bet. Let's take soon-to-be-dad @Beketov, and give him something to be anxious about while he's still got some free time in his life.
