The regular season is filled with plenty of heroic exploits, but it takes a true legend to excel in the playoffs. Tonight, we recognize the MVP of the S76 Playoffs with the Daisuke Kanou Trophy. Jean Pierre Camus @solas was an absolute monster for the Chicago Phoenix, who became Continental Cup champions on the wings of the elite performances of their goaltender. Ajay Krishna @Hooperorama fought like a lion for the Warsaw Predators, but even in a losing effort, he displayed the heart of a champion. Mikko Lahtinen @Beketov didn't reach the Cup Finals with Moscow, but he still led all players in the postseason with 27 points regardless. Dakota Lamb @dlamb was the driving force for Warsaw's offense during their spirited run, tallying 21 points for the Predators. 
 
Tonight, one of these players will transcend greatness, and take their place in VHL lore as a legend of the game, a player who played the biggest when it mattered the most.

@rory spotted misbehaving in the crowd after the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy winner was announced.

The Dustin Funk Trophy, our next award,  is given to the most improved player in the VHL, and we had no shortage of players who took their game to a new level. In the twilight of her career, DC Dragons blue liner Cinnamon Block @omgitshim saved the best for last, improving by over 40 points to finish with 99, along with increases in hits and blocked shots. Jean Pierre Camus @solas was instrumental to the Chicago Phoenix's Cup run, winning 43 games and improving to a .922 save percentage and a 2.85 GAA. John LeClair II @flyersfan1406 had a breakout campaign with the Prague Phantoms, becoming a 30 goal scorer and more than doubling his point production, going from 29 to 71! Another major contributor to Chicago's championship season was Christian Mingle @Quik, who launched himself into VHL prominence with a 43 goal, 93 point season, complete with 354 hits, second in the league. Chris Reynolds @Crstats23 took a major step forward in Warsaw's memorable season, doubling his output to 73 points, including 35 goals. Lastly, we have Jacob Tonn @MexicanCow123, who went from being a good goalie to a great one with the Moscow Menace in Season 76, with 46 wins, a .927 save percentage, and a 2.46 GAA, picking up the Greg Clegane Trophy earlier in the show.

Coming up next... the presentation of the Frederik Elmebeck Trophy!!

Next up is the Kevin Brooks Trophy, awarded to the player(s) who led the VHL in goals. Forwards league-wide absolutely feasted this season, as scoring 41 goals didn't even get you onto the top ten list this season. Andrew Su @Da_Berr and Kyle Oferson @Nykonax were standouts, scoring 47 goals each to tie for third place. Ola Vikingstad @Dil was just one of two players to score 50 goals, but he was still eleven goals behind Season 76's scoring king, Mikko Lahtinen @Beketov. Averaging nearly a goal per game, Lahtinen matched his 61 goals in Season 74 to recapture his status as the top goal scorer in the VHL for the second time in his career. Will he be able to do so one final time in Season 77?
