After a disappointing first round exit to the New York Americans, Rayz Funk had this to say about his playoff performance and his future. "It was a tough season, I felt myself slipping over and over and over again. I'm getting old and who knows how much longer I can keep this up. I couldn't get my feet underneath me when it mattered the most and the games that I could our offense was plagued instead. My contract expires this season and I'm not sure where I'll play come the start of next season. With four more teams jumping in the league it opens up a lot of spots that could be interesting. I'll be talking over it with my agent to see what's in my best interest." Well not quite what we expected from him, his comments leave windows open everywhere. We will have to pay close attention to this offseason as Funk determines what to do as his timelines down and the sun gets low on his career.

Few things 1. GM pool sure. But the requirements of a GM are not really known. 2. AGM pool hard no, at least in the M. 3. If we want qualification for GM pool, make it a requirement to have managed the M not to have been an AGM.

The other problem is we have morale disabled, meaning leadership shouldn't have any effect even if it does normally

Well this isn't quite the halfway point as we are actually done 40 games not 36 but I'm going to call it close enough. First let's check in on the 1000 ELO start: Couple interesting sights here; SDM/HOU tanked and tanked hard and early and won't recover. YUK has had a very up and down season despite trading away most assets the aren't brutal. A few spikes happened around game 26-31. MIN and YUK go up, HFX and OTT drop. Games 31-40 have seemed fairly stable. Taking a look at weighted ELO: This chart has a few more interesting things going on as teams have improved or declined from last season. YUK and SDM tank early as both of their teams can't keep up with last seasons success. HOU tanks as well as they're worse than they were last season. MIS climbs out of the basement slowly but surely, crossing the neutral 1000 point around game 33. SSK takes a quick rise before cooling off for a more steady climb, sitting 1 point below PHI currently. That's the current outlook of the VHLM, I'll take a look again at a later date.
