  5. Also, you can just answer generic questions posted by your VHLM GM in your team thread, which is pinned to this sub-forum. Assuming you do have a VHLM team... I'd just PM your GM/AGM and ask them how to do pressers the easy/cheap way, so you don't have to wait for other members to think up some questions for you.
  6. Hello new man. 1. Do you have any other sim league experience? Where did you find VHL? 2. Do you follow hockey IRL? What team you support? 3. Out of all of the current VHL franchises, which team do you think has the best logo/branding/location? 4. Are you related to the Alex Rodriguez who played for the Yankees?
  7. Don't want the job, but I propose the following... Who makes the best/longest lasting sim league member? (pause) Degenerates & weirdos. I propose we launch a paid AND/OR guerilla advertising campaign on pornhub. I think we could unearth some future sim league legends there.
  8. There is, but it's set in a way to make it irrelevant. Also all players get their endurance stat set to 99. I'm scared for this game 7.
  9. ? FREE BOUBABI ? UNTHAW THE QUEBECOIS ? UNTARNISH LORD KARNAGE ? ATONE CORNERSTONE ? UNBENCH THE FRENCH ?
  10. Can I steal your format to submit as my rookie profile for 8 tpe or w/e ?
  11. The year is 2019 and the city of Stockholm, Sweden finds itself under attack from forces so monstrous, so powerful, and so deadly, that the very future of humankind is at stake. There is one glimmer of hope for humanity, and that glimmer beams off of the steel helmet of Jet Jaguar, the cybernetic robot constructed by the brightest minds on earth, as their last shot at survival. He is the man that stands between death and redemption, between evil and justice, and between life and death. This is his story. After experiencing a lengthy heat wave through the spring season, monolithic rock-like objects started washing up on the shores of Europe and North America. World-renowned scientists were puzzled. No one could answer where these huge cocoon-like structures came from, how they had remained dormant in the ocean without detection, nor what caused them to suddenly washing up onto land. Many speculated that they were remnants of an ancient, extinct civilization. Others thought that they were a byproduct of the high levels of pollution that was ushered in by the industrial age. However, nobody could prove their origin. Not until the day they emerged and changed the Earth forever. As the summer of 1971 went on, these skyscraper-sized rocky husks continued appearing, and an unprecedented heat wave continued to plague the Earth. It all came to ahead on the morning of July 1, 2019, when the first of the VHLaiju, massive creatures who stood hundreds of feet tall, appeared. It was the original and most famous King of the Monsters, Nyazilla. He appeared on the east coast of North America, and brought with him destruction the likes the world had never seen. His rampage through the eastern seaboard was devastating and the loss of life, unprecedented. It wasn't before long that another VHLaiju emerged from the ocean. It was HC Davothra, the flying monster, who first appeared in Europe. Before long, many other VHLaijus, or Vaijus as they becamed known as, appeared on earth bringing humanity to it's knees. Wrangdan, Meutati, SeaBira, Leig Toryanso, Titanus, and Rigakaisu were the remaining Vaiju who had shown themselves on Earth. They've destroyed most signs of civilization and have reduced the human race to thousands spread across the ravaged planet. The King of the Monsters - Nyazilla Deep within a cave in Dnipro, Ukraine, was a small colony of Japanese scientists and scholars, who had hypothesized the Vaiju invasion months before it happened. Despite their accuracy, they were mocked and ignored for such an outlandish theory until it was too late. Within this cave, the men had been busy with the design and construction of a final hope for the survival of the Earth. A never-before-seen mix of technology and long-forgotten Ukrainian blood magic had been harnessed to construct a warrior capable of battling the Vaiju. It was a machine built in the image of man. This was the birthplace of Jet Jaguar, cybernetic hero of the universe. His suit made of an unbreakable metal alloy, his circuitry and protocol components were manufactured from pieces of the mysterious metallic rock debris that has been appearing before the Vaiju. The researchers and scientists theorized that the only way to possibly defeat a Vaiju was by harnessing the mechanics of the popular sport ice hockey. They had designed Jaguar with super-sonic speed and retractable titanium sole-blades for optimum surface-tension on ice. His chest-plate and shoulder guards were tuned for optimal slap-shot power and quik-release wristers. His most powerful weapon was has advanced artificial intelligence. Legend has it that Jaguar's AI complex was programmed using equal parts of the mental profiles of ice hockey legends Niklas Lindberg, Tom Slaughter, Aksel Thomassen, and Scotty Campbell. This once-in-a-century ice hockey ace was born of machinery and technology. It was this creation of man that would be their chance at salvation. Their change to defeat the Vaiju and restore their way of life. The battles that Jet Jaguar would go onto wage became things of Legend. His campaign began in mainland Europe where he defeated both Rigakaisu and Titanus. Word of his victories began to spread through the surviving human resistance against the monstrous invasion of the Vaiju. His hat trick against HC Davothra, including a last-second overtime winner, was heralded as a key moment, and turning of the tide, in mankind's war against the Vaiju. Once Jaguar had successfully defeated HC Davothra with his clutch goal scoring ability, he had set his sights on upgrading his systems and weaponry, including a puck handling re-design by his development group, in order to travel to North America and fight the Vaiju who were still wreaking havoc on that continent. However, just as his upgrades were completed, two more Vaijus invaded Europe. It was Moscowthra and Stocktron. They both appeared in Sweden and destroyed what was left of the city. Jaguar headed there at once, where another legendary moment would unfold as Jaguar took a stretch pass from his own end, before splitting the defenses of Moscowthra and Stocktron before sniping an unbelievable snapshot, bar down, for another hard-fought victory. His ability to get pucks deep and play the cycle was invaluable in his penalty kill scenario as he battled the two newest Vaiju at once. Europe was finally free from the tyranny and destruction of the VHLaiju. The survivors began to rebuild their cities, and Jaguar knew it was time to cross the ocean and rescue the last remaining members of human-kind who were still embroiled in the VHLaiju war. HC Davothra - The Flying Vaiju Will the mighty Jet Jaguar be able to vanquish the rest of the VHLaiju monsters who have destroyed most of the world? Will he be able to handled the strongest of them all, the King of the Monsters, Nyazilla? That part of the story remains to be written, but one thing is for sure, Jet Jaguar will stick to playing his game, working hard, and getting pucks on net, as he continues to be the last hope for all of mankind. Go, Jet Jaguar! Go!

  15. I ain't signing shit. Romeo + Juliet is fire.
  16. Europe is officially a country!
  17. 1. Julius Freeman has led the team in points this season, putting up almost 100 with 3 games to go. What do you think is the secret to his success? Freeman is a stud, so I'd say that his secret to success is his raw natural talent... also his deployment/usage is pretty good, so the coaching staff has some part of that success. 2. In your opinion, who are the VHLM MVP Candidates this season and who deserves the trophy most? Probably Hunter Hearst Helmsley? Leading scoring, pretty much carried Yukon himself. If I had to bet, it would be on him. Maybe Freeman and Jagr as 2 and 3. 3. As S65 comes to a close and you head into your last few weeks with your many of your teammates, what have been your best memories with this squad and how will you spend your remaining weeks with them? Playing on Halifax has been pretty fun. I've embraced my role on the team, and am ready to go on a deep playoff push with the boys. There are some good teams in the VHLM playoffs, but I think we have a chance against anybody if we can play our A game. 4. Halifax had a drop in point production at the end of the season. What went wrong and what needs to change for the playoffs? Probably not playing Jaguar and Freeman together enough. 5. How do our odds look heading into the post-season? I wouldn't exactly call us favourites, but I think we have a chance against anybody. Over a 7 game series, I think our depth is enough to win us the games we need to make it deep in the playoffs. 6. Halifax GM McWolf announced he will be resigning once the season is finished. Do you have any last messages or words to say to him? In my opinion, we should win him a cup before he retires. Would be a fitting way to end the reign of the GM that brought this team so far. Thoughts on this? I'm down to win a cup for him, but IMO you shouldn't trade away all your picks and then step down the next season. Good luck to the next GM, i guess. I'll be in the VHL, so no sweat off my ass.
