STZ still dropping bangers I see. Nice face swap. Background has some nice textures and surface which makes the white background pop. Text is beautiful with the font changes. Dude did you make that logo or something? Lmao the IKEA uniform is funny but I think the render could’ve had more of a pop on the yellows. Would’ve made this sig even better I think. Who am I to say anything? I don’t even make graphics.

10/10. I could literally look at this thing all friggin day long.

Review:

I think the cutting on the render was perfect. I also love that this is a gif! Some negative feedback I have is that there’s no contrast besides the text. I think a darker blue hue in the background could’ve made the text and the render pop way more. Jersey swap was great. I think it didn’t flow with the jersey sadly so, it was tough to not notice that.

I’d probably give this about a 7/10. Great job!

Here were some questions asked to Olivier Gauthier after last night's game. 

Interviewer: What do you believe sets you apart from other goalies in the VHL? How will you prove that you deserve to be there?

Olivier Gauthier: I deserve to be there solely based on the fact that I'm the most hard working person you'll ever meet. I'm going to outwork everyone possible and I intend to win cups when I get to Prague. The Prague GM has already mentioned to me that I will get my chance in training camp like everyone else and I intend to go there with a point to prove. Its my time to shine.

Interviewer: How do you plan to adapt your playing style to the different styles of the VHL, especially considering the level of competition is much higher than what you are used to in the VHLM?

Olivier Gauthier: In the VHL, players are more skilled at every single facet of the game. In the VHLM, players are still developing. This will take an entire adaption on my end but I intend to do it properly if I do. I'm excited for my change in Prague and I will show it once I get there. Just believe in me. Thats all I ask everyone.

Intervier: Can you discuss a time in your career when you faced a significant challenge or setback? How did you overcome it, and what did you learn from the experience?

Olivier Gauthier: The start of this season. I got very lazy and comfortable. If you want to become the best, you had to live uncomfortably. Thats what Michael Johnson told me, so I did and I believe I took my game to another level.

Dear VHL,

Its still an immense feeling to have been drafted by Prague in the VHL. It's a dream of every hockey player to make it to the big leagues and I can't believe it's within my grasp. I'm so excited, yet nervous to make the jump. There is a lot to do and prepare for. I've been playing hockey since I was 4 years old however this is a new level to prepare for. I've been fumbling the bag recently but I need to stop it.

Last season and this season I've been playing for the San Diego Marlins, which has been fantastic, but it's time to take my game to the next level. I've been putting in a lot of practice on and off the ice. I recently decided to start working with a sports psychologist to help me stay focused, calm and determined. Mental toughness is a huge factor, infact, just as important as physical ability when it comes to being a professional goalie. I know what the competition in the VHL is going to look like, it's going to be fierce. My training schedule has become rigorous. I've been hitting the gym daily, working on things like my footwork and watching game footage to learn from legends in the game. I've also been speaking with experienced players in the VHL team and they've been amazing. I've been soaking up as much knowledge as I can from them. They've all be forthright in giving me tips and tricks. It's amazing how much you can learn if you're willing to take a step back and listen to what they have to say. It's not just about me, though. I'm grateful for the team that I've been playing with. The Sandiego Marlins have been amazing to me. They've helped me grow as a player and as a person. I've made so many friends on this team and off the team. I'm going to miss them dearly when I eventually have to get to Prague.

I have till the end of the season but I'm prepared to move on to the next chapter. Being drafted by Prague, I'm excited to see what the future holds. It won't be easy but I'm ready for the challenge. I know that the competition in the VHL is going to be hard but I'm confident in myself. I think I'm ready for it.

Theres still a lot of progress needed before I can jump to the VHL though. I may even have to play in the VHLE next season. I need to work hard every day to make sure I'm ready. I've set some personal goals for myself and I'm determined to make those happen.

Like I said earlier, it's going to be tough to leave San Diego. However, I'm ready for the next chapter. I'm grateful for the support I've had from the city, my friends, family and teammates. Without them, I would not be where I am today and I thank all of you personally. San Diego has been a huge part of that and I can't thank them enough. I'll be keeping an eye on San Diego while I'm in Prague.

As I sit here, writing out this blog. I can't help but feel grateful for al lthe opportunities that I've had in my life. I know that I've worked hard to get where I am but I'm also ready to acknowledge that I've been blessed with lots of luck. I'm grateful to play this game and I can't wait to see where this journey will take me. This is the best occupation I could've ever asked for.

I have finally gotten drafted in both of the major professional leagues. In the top tier, VHL, I was drafted by a fairly prestigious team in the Prague Phantoms. The Phantom players have reached out already and have been a huge in advising us on what we need to work on. What we need to be doing on a daily basis as well. The goalie, Clueless Wallob, has actually been extremely helpful and infact, completely the opposite to his name. He’s been nothing but professional and insightful! Ultimately, Prague has been an insanely positive and I actually think my play will benefit in major ways just joining Prague.

The other beautiful team that has drafted me is the Oslo Storm in the VHLE. Oslo has invited us to a player camp off the bat and has been huge developmentally. I’m pretty sure that my play is going to jump off the wall imediately. I’ve since worked on things like reaction time and puck control off saves. This gives me more and more control on where to put the puck if I can’t smother it in my glove or body. Honestly, Oslo and I are gunna have a huge season if I get to play there.

I’m currently unemployed.

I previously worked in a management role in audits for a top 4 accounting firm.

Starting my MBA come May.

To me, it's like if I went and complained about IA rates in the VHLM publicly. I can be a concerned member of the community, or I could use my position to address the concerns relevant to my league job. Really it would just be me doing my job or working with my fellow Commissioner to address the issue appropriately.

I don't see how AJ broke any COC rules... What did you expect the moderation team to do? There is no moderator umbrella of investigation for this situation past Dack. So I'm not 100% sure your example is applicable.

The moderation team's goal in this situation to is investigate Dack and any other alts they may have. Not to punish GMs like AJ when that punishment would fall on you, the commissioner. So, where in that is it counter-intuitive?

Olivier: I'm well and you?

Jerry: I'm well, thank you for asking and for doing this! Olivier, your stats this past season don't stand out as impressive. What do you think went wrong and how do you plan to improve?

Olivier: Well, haha, I can't say that things went wrong per say. I faced some tough teams and there were certainly games where I should have played better. I'm not going to dwell on this past season though, as I'm not the type to do that. Me, my coaching staff and upper management in Prague have identified where I need to improve and I'm taking steps to work on those problem areas. I'm confident in myself that I'll be able to bounce back stronger.

Jerry: Many people are questioning whether you should've been drafted so high. How do you respond to that?

Olivier: I'm more than ready for the VHL. I've been working for this my entire life and I'm confident that I have what it takes to play at the highest level. I'm not going to let a few disappointing stats from last season hold me back. I'm going to prove the doubters wrong and show everyone that I'm a force to be reckoned with. Just watch next season everyone, I plan to prove you all wrong.

Jerry: I am extremely excited to see that. What do you think sets you apart from other goalies in this league?

Olivier: I think my combination of athleticism, determination, and reading of the game sets me apart. I'm confident in my abilities and I'm not afraid of taking a risk, ever. I'm always striving to be the best. I'll never give up on a play no matter how much it's going against me. Thats what makes me a great goalie. Thats whats going to make me successful in the VHL. Not every goalie has that attitude. For me, it's just instinctual.

Last season was a tough season in the VHLM for me. I had high hopes for the season and was extremely disappointed when things didn't go to plan. I finished the season with a 0.89 SV% with a 2.71 GAA alongside only 3 shutouts. This is not good enough and is far from what I hoped I could achieve in the VHLM in my first full season. What makes it disappointing as well was that I was playing inside my own head. I wasn't focused at all and I know I didn't have all my focus. I thought I could coast by on what I was doing. This was wrong.

Despite all of this, I'm grateful for the opportunity that the Marlins have given me, and have gained some valuable experience. I know there's lots of work to do if I want to become the best in the VHL. I'm willing to put in the extra time and effort to make that happen as well. I'll be in Kelowna this off-season which is the mecca of off-season training. All the best hockey training happens here. I've been invited to a few camps which primarily focus on goalies... I'm super excited to see what I can take and add to my game. I hear Patrick Roy is going to be there too which is... Let's just say he's my idol.

Some great news though, I've been drafted by the Prague Phantoms. It seems like I'll be playing next season with San Diego again which is nice considering it's a very familiar place. This is a huge opportunity for me to prove to myself and to the Phantoms that I have what it takes to become the starting goalie at the highest level. I've been speaking with the Prague management and we've worked on how I need to improve my game and work on my weaknesses in order to succeed. I'm excited by this challenge and I'm determined to make the most of this opportunity and to prove to this league what I'm capable of being. Let's just say, Clueless Wallob. I'm coming for your spot. You enjoy the next season or two being the starter in Prague but just remember that I'm coming, like a goddamn freight train and I will take your spot.

Looking back on the season, I realize there were some things I should have done differently. I need to work on staying calm and composed under pressure, work on my reflexes, and on my positioning. These are all areas I will be working on during my off-season in Kelowna. This is how I think make sure that I'm ready to come back stronger next year. Overall, while I'm disappointed in my past season, it also brings up a valuable learning experience. I'm excited for next season and the season beyond in order to prove myself in the major leagues. I know I have a lot of work to get to but I'm up for the challenge and prepared to take my game to the next level.

The problem with your reply is that you’re not separating the moderating job and fongs ability to be a user in the vhl space.

The moderators can and have done their job. However now, Fong is allowed to take off his moderator hat, be himself and be a pissed off member. I see nothing wrong with him taking stand that this pissed him off personally. In fact this is healthier.

The moderation team shouldn’t have to wear the hat 24/7. Remember that it’s a job, in the league… A simulation league. If he took this anger and applied it to AJ’s punishment, imo it would be worse.
