  1. 1.The offspring, You’re gonna go far kid. That shit pumps me right up. 2.I usually let the equipment manager take care of it, I’m not too picky about skates, they get me where I need to go on the ice. 3.Absolutley, I’m one of the more superstitious guys on the team. My Lucky Chain is my good luck charm. It broke mid game last season and I went on a 10 games scoring drought until it got fixed. 4.Oh yeah I look good in a suit. I went to the marlins Charity Gala last year, It was a pretty great event! The Dispersal Draft too, I looked fly as hell for that. 5. Really hard. I’m kinda picky about where I live though. Im actually staying with my former teammate Scotty BigShotty until I find my own place. 6. Preferably close to downtown/The arena. Makes driving a lot easier. 7. Pranks. I love messing with Fang and Scotty especially cause they get so heated it’s hilarious. I put shaving cream in Scotty’s Shoe last weekend at a training camp and it was so funny. 8.I’m pretty outgoing so probably sing and dance I guess. 9.Nothing really weird, Just regular stuff. Baseball Bat, Bong, Giant rooster Costume, ya know the necessities 10.On the team Prob Either Scotty or Sigard Gunnar, Me and Scotty Are buds and Sigard is a pretty cool guy. 11.Yep. I love pets especially dogs. Once I get my own place I’m gonna get a couple of them. 12.I worked at a fish and chip place in high-school and came home with grease burns and reeking like fish for a couple years.
  2. Moncton Times The small Province of Canada New Brunswick isn’t exactly well known outside of Atlantic Canada. Most Americans don’t even know it exists. It’s claims to fame include Highest tides, Beautiful Covered Bridges and Drunk idiots driving around in civics. But a Hockey Player from Moncton New Brunswick is putting the small province on the map. One day after being selected 9th by the Philadelphia Reapers in the VHLM, The Twenty year old Centre was picked 30th by reigning Champions Helsinki. The Young Center put up 36 Points For the San Diego Marlins and was a Feisty Hard forechecking who had a motor that never quit. He showed extreme untapped raw potential in his Highschool hockey days, and the reapers May have gotten a steal if he can put up a big season and help them repeat. After taking that all in, A day later he wasn’t picked by the Helsinki titans. ”It’s so surreal, I’m still in shock” He said in a post draft scrum. “They just won the cup, and they have some really great players like Matt Thompson, Julian Bronwinn, Sidney Crosby and Alexander Pepper, there’s no better guys to learn from and I can’t wait until I can work my way to the vhl to play with them.” The Young Center is already a Draft favourite amount the Finnish Helsinki fans back home. Hopefully one day he can tear up the league, maybe bring home a cup or two and make the province proud.
  3. I’d love to apply. I’m on here all the time and I think I’d be great for recruitment and LR Presence!
  4. I would love to apply. I’m on here all the time cause I’m on Unemployment for the rest of summer, so I have tons of free time. I'm picking up the whole VHL thing pretty quik and would love to learn the management part of it!
  5. “With the 9th overall selection the VHLM dispersal draft, the Philadelphia Reapers select From the San Diego Marlins, Center Alex Pearson” The Philadelphia reapers Had 2 picks in the first round of the VHLM Dispersal Draft And with their 1st pick they picked up rookie standout defenceman Connor Adrienne who will Quarterpack the Powerplay and top defence pair. With their second pick they went a little off the board and selected Marlins Center Alex Pearson. Pearson has 18 Goals and 18 Assists For the marlins in his Rookie Campaign. Those aren’t exactly stellar number but the other elements he brought to the ice helped the marlins to the playoffs. His aggressive forechecking and solid face offs were huge assets to them during the season and as the season went along we saw his extremely raw talent begin to shine. But he was demoted to a bottom 6 role after a scoring drought and never really was able to recover until late in the Season. The Reapers selected Pearson on hopes he can meet his high potential he showed in his high school days. “It’s kinda surreal, I didn’t except to go this early, I knew I wasn’t going back to San Diego so the Reapers were probably one of my top choices” Pearson said as he grinned, sporting his new Reapers Jersey. The Reapers lost most of their roster that made it to the finals, Pearson will be a big peice on a team they can hopefully go all the way this season.
  6. Alex Pearson Points=36/10 so 3 Hits=82/30 so 2 so 5tpe +3 =8
  7. In their first ever playoff series, The San Diego Marlins are currently down 2-0 in a series against the Halifax 21st. And while they now have home ice and could win a couple of games to even the series, the fire of hope is dwindling in San Diego. How did they get here? Game 1 was simply a train wreck. Early in the game it was evident that they were not ready. Acyd Burn And Blake Gaudette lit up the Marlins early, and it never really got better, it got a lot worse. Lincoln Tate scored early in the second to wake the marlins up, but Acyd Burn’s Third goal was a dagger. Anton Edvin went on to embarrass the Marlins with a hat trick, and Guy Lagrande Put salt on the wound for the 21st 8th Goal. A complete defensive meltdown and a team that wasn’t ready by first whistle is what doomed the marlins in the first game. Game 2 It was an absolute goal bananza. 6-5 in overtime and Trevor Van Lagen is the OT hero for Halifax. The marlins goals were scored by Pierre Persson (2) Edgar Tannahill, Lincoln Tate and Andrei Mikhailov. Halifax’s goal Scorers were TVL(2), Nacho, Blake Gaudette, Acyd Burn And Guy Lagrande. Clearly if the marlins want to win their defence has to improve, as does Greg Eagles. He’s been good but he needs to be great. Overall of the marlins can win 2 at home I think they have a pretty good shot but if not then I think their series is sadly over.
  8. Great job guys! Chism and Clarke with great nights!
  9. 1.Even if we squeak into the playoffs I think we can do some damage with out strong veteran team. 2.Everything InstantRockstar has done so far! He’s been a great Gmail and made great moves. 4.Well we had a pretty great year, and I think if we get back on track in the playoffs and made a deep run we can make history. 5.If we make a deep run and st least make the finals the for sure! 6.I was good at some parts and terrible at others. Some points were really low but hopefully I can improve next year. 9.If we get some good returning players then absolutely. I love San Diego and wanna stay there.
  10. Finally broke out of the scoring lslump! Gg guys
  11. Pearson Struggles as season winds down At the start of his young Vhlm career, Rookie Alex Pearson showed drive, promise, intensity and passion for the game. In the past few weeks all that had vanished and all that’s left is one thing. frustration. His offensive numbers has completely fallen off a cliff. He’s been 17 games without a point. He currently has 27 points in 53 games and is a -5. His defensive game isn’t as bad as it seems, it’s gotten better as the season has progressed but at the loss of his offensive talent. There were games he looked like a true superstar. Then the next game he was invisible again. He's been riding shotgun to Balls McZharl the past few weeks and the chemistry is non existent. He’s shown frustration, smashing sticks and getting in altercations and taking stupid penalties. Which really isn’t helping his case. Especially in the last week or so of games he has made a boneheaded play at least once a game. Maybe that has to do with the season winding down and he’s just worn down. Most players are, and Pearson hasn’t okayed more then 30 games in a season before and we’re sitting at 53. He’s been smart with certain things, he does use his speed well to get in good areas to set up changes before line changes. he needs to get his offensive game back, which I don’t doubt he will, but when is the question. I’m sure the Marlins would love it if he came back right as the playoffs rolled in.
  12. After a rough patch in the season that saw them slip from third to forth, GM of the Marlins InstantRockstar realized the team needed an upgrade. On Saturday he made his first big trade as GM. San Diego receives: BALLS McZehrl Minnesota receives: Lexington Lewis S67 SDM 3rd S67 SDM 8th Lewis was a warrior in his time as a marlin but never lived up to his second line potential after he became inactive. The trade was an easy one to make, as McZehrl is an obvious upgrade. Aftet the trade InstantRockstar decided he wasn’t done. He needed to upgrade his Center position, as Pearson had defensive deficiencies and BigShotty was underproducing. San Diego receives: Rhys Chism Philadelphia receives: Scotty BigShotty S67 SDM 2nd S67 OTT 4th He made the biggest of his trade acquiring Dynamic Foreard Rhys Chism. In exchange they lost beloved powerforward Scotty Bigshotty, who will be missed, but they get an immediate upgrade and solidify the top 9. With the additions You will likely see Chism take over BigShotty’s role as second lone Center, and McZharl will likely play the third line role, while moves Pearson to the wing, a position that may suit him better until he improves his all around game.
