1. Toronto only has a second round pick in the S74 VHL Entry Draft, but it looks deep -- do you think the Legion will draft a quality prospect at twenty sixth overall? Anyone that is active could be an impact player. There are several that should fall into our slots.2. Who do you expect to go first overall in the draft? There is a few that can go first. 3. Do you have any friends or associates in the draft class, and who are they? Not that I am aware of. 4. What would you say is Toronto's biggest strength heading into the draft? The desire to win is a big strength. 5. What about the Legions' biggest weakness? I am not sure until I see a good sample of games. 6. GM Peace has been transparent in the team locker room -- do you feel demoralized from the missed opportunities at all? Not at all. It's good to be involved with what's really going on with the team.

Looks good but hard to copy the questions isn't it?

Review: Good looking sig with a touch of style only an artist would come up with. Great font mix. Easy to look at and read, something that isn't common. Thank you for not adding the "Paint Splatter" effect, it looks really good the way it is. Background is a typical gorlab beauty, very subtle but detailed in a way that takes up dead space. The balance is the greatest asset with this sig. It really is pleasing to look at. Another day in the office for you. Great work. 9.5/10 @gorlab

Review: This keeps within your style. I like the format of your work and this is no exception. Very bright and dynamic, catches your eyes. The text I think works with this design. Good overall product. 9/10

It's been a fun playoff run with the San Diego Marlins. I would like to thank all the players and GM for putting together a very good effort. Many players will move on, like myself, and some will stay to carry on the high bar that was set this season. A well lead and proud club. We knew it wasn't going to be easy to move past Miami but that didn't damper our hopes or dedication to win. We threw everything we had against them but they have indeed proved to be the better team. The games weren't bad, but we found ourselves on the outside looking in at the end of the day. So onward John Merrick goes. Looking to develop into a useful player in the big league. As time goes by, John will not forget his time with the awesome team he once played for, the San Diego Marlins. Good luck going forward.

1. With Ottawa down, we’ll either get Miami or Houston in the second round (if Vegas can complete a comeback versus Minnesota). What’s the key to not only hanging in with Miami, but beating them in a series? Just play our game. We have a very balanced team. What we lack in skill, we have with heart and intestinal fortitude. 2. Personally, I think we have the grit to beat Houston, what would you say the key would be to beating Houston? I think we can out play Houston if we got matched. Lucky I can say that now knowing we didn't get them. 3. What were some of the words exchanged in the handshake line between yourself and a member of the Lynx that you could share with the group? Oh just the normal sportsman like chatter like, "Good job", "Great series". 4. Looking ahead to the offseason for a moment, what is one thing you’d like to do this offseason in the VHL that would be engaging with the community? I am going on a charity drive to support our local law enforcement. 5. Who among your San Diego teammates are you most interested in following as they make their transition to the VHL next season? You point your finger at any of them, they will all be great players. 6. What are your favorite hockey-based shows/films? If you haven’t seen a single hockey show/film, what are you doing with your life instead you heathen? Slap Shot of course. BONUS: FEEL FREE NOT TO ANSWER IF YOU’RE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH IT: At the risk of making things a bit political, with all the unrest in the world right now, hockey has stood with many other sports in support of ending systemic racism. Approaching the subject on a more sports-orientated road, what would be one thing you’d like to see changed to help further diversify the game of hockey and encourage Black athletes to pursue a career on the ice? There are 26 black players now in the league, what exactly is holding anyone from becoming an NHL player? I think if you have the skill, you should be given a chance.

Round one over for San Diego and let me tell you, it wasn't as close as the 4 games to 1 indicates. Only one game had more than a one goal differential. The lose to Ottawa was in overtime and the last two game were 2-1 respectively. It could have gone either way really. I have been on the losing side of the playoffs before and it isn't fun but that Ottawa team has no reason to hang their head. Very good club with lots of talent. Moving on to the next round is huge for the Marlins. Early in the season we were hoping to make it to the playoffs. Then as the team gelled a bit, we raised the bar and wanted to make it past the first round. Well that goal has been met and now we expect a huge series with Houston. Another hard fighting team that has the horsepower to push a team around. The Marlins have had success during the season against them but this is the playoffs now, tactics and lines become more of a focal point. We still have a few tricks up our collective sleeves to throw in the mix. I feel San Diego Marlins could indeed make a big splash, pun intended, in this next round.

Review: Good looking sig. It has really good balance and easy to look at. Color palette is a bit wild but I like it. Text is placed proper. I think you did a great job with this project. Keep them coming. 9/10

Review: I really like this design. Your render for the most part is sharp and well placed. I like the background though it is simple, it fits this design very well. Text could be slide over to the left a tad for balance but it really is impressive to look at. Sometimes less is more. Great job. 9/10 @solas

1. Are you excited for the playoffs? Yes indeed. Fun time of the season. 2. Do you think having a “home ice advantage” would make a difference for our team? I don't think home ice matters much in the playoffs. 3.Who are you expecting to step up and the most for the playoffs? It's a team effort, I expect everyone will step up. 4. If we reach the finals, who do you think we are most likely to play against? The winner of the other division? 5. Who have you become close to from our team over the course of this season? All my teammates. Tight bunch we have. 6. Which personal trophies do you think you could win for this season / playoffs? I am not into hardware. Just winning games is the reward I am after.

San Diego Marlins have had a great season so far. A lot of players have stepped up and really put in the effort to be better. For the team and on an individual level. Our team play has been very good. When the top line doesn't score, another line will step up and pitch in. I really like the balance of the team. A bit of reality set in as we keep getting bitch slapped by a couple of top teams. We are trying to compete and will make further tweaks going into the last part of the season and playoffs. I hope we can make another good push in the right direction that let's us play on the level that we are striving for. It's been a great experience playing with the talent on the team. Very active players and a GM that is very savvy. Nothing but pure fun on this team. Helping each other and talking strats all the time make for a good locker room. We have some very good talent on the team, I hope we exceed our goals set this season and make a push in the playoffs. We have the desire, will it be enough is the question. Great time to be a Marlin.

1. What are the Top 5 hockey jerseys you want to have? Dave Taylor, Marcel Dione, Charlie Simmer, Rogie Vashon and Bernie Nichols. 2. We need a thing. Vegas has Taylor Swift love, Vancouver has Lord of the Rings shitpost memes, Miami has Cards Against Humanity and Chess Battles. What should be San Diego’s Discord exclusive thing? Anything that has to do with AR15's or competitive checkers would work for me. 3. What are your favorite movies/films? I like good wholesome family movies like John Wick, Deadpool, Jack Reacher and Bambi. 4. A couple weeks ago, had a 50/50 draw on who has the most luscious locks between Dimmadome and Merrick. This week we move on to the most important talking point in VHL history. Who has the best beard in the VHL/VHLM? Merrick has had a beard for many many years. I would be hard pressed to find anyone that could grow a mop and awesome as his. True story. 5. What’s a food recipe you’d like to share with the group that you’ve personally tried/cooked? I don't really have a favorite but they are all mostly the same. Puncture the film, cook on high for 4 minutes, stir, cook an additional minute. 6. Are you a gamer? If so, what is your favorite genre of games and how do you think that genre could be even better? I dabble with gaming with friends and family. I like shooters like Rainbow 6 Siege, Modern Warfare and single player games like God of War. It doesn't get any better than those.

Review: Very clean looking graphic. I usually don't care for centered elements but this one really has the balance needed to pull it off, well done. I can't really say much about what or how you did this or what I would have done different. It fits a style and you got it right. Keep pushing and I look forward to more from you. 9/10

Review: I really like this design. I have done several with this layout and I find it very pleasing. Just a couple of tips from what I see. You flipped the player, which in some cases needs to be done, but I try to get rid of any branding or words that are spelt backwards. My second thought was why you flipped it in the first place. From what I see, the render would show more of the logo if it were on the right. Just small things but worth mentioning. Overall I love this look. Keep working, you have skills. 8.5/10 @Matmenzinger

1. With WJC fast approaching, which team looks the most dangerous to you? Team USA, we have guns. 2. 8 Points separate the top 6 teams in the VHLM, and there’s 4 points between 2nd and 6th, why do you think it’s so tight this season, who’s been the most surprising team? I think we have been pushing hard and have made a mark in the league. So we have been a surprise. 3. San Diego had really hit their stride, having won 4 of their last 5. Are you confident the team can maintain this run or are you worried at all about peak fatigue like Miami is experiencing now? We are young and pushing hard. We will be strong. 4. With the trade deadline fast approaching, is there any area you think San Diego could get better in through the deadline? Not sure it would be a good idea to change chemistry on the team at this time. 5. IT’S THEME WEEK EVERYONE!!! What are your plans to capitalize on the event and claim that sweet TPE? I am a TPE slut. Of course I will claim it. 6. I’m always looking for new ways to engage people in things like these Press Conferences. Do you have any suggestions for things we could add to spice up these pressers? Soap on a Rope in the showers is all I want.

Review: This is one complex looking graphic. First off, I would say this is the case of "Less is More". The render should be the main focus of the graphic. While I admire your creativity, it is a bit overwhelming to say the least. Maybe smaller text and make your render the focal point. Great concept though. Keep pushing this and you will find the balance needed. 8/10 @Snussu

Review: Well it's a great start. Much better than my first one, or hell, my last 20 haven't been great. You will learn skills and improve by the week. Great to see you at least try to actually earn tpe instead of claiming welfare. As for your graphic, good job. First timer pass from me 10/10 @Firekiss

Well another week of games and San Diego Marlins are still showing they can play with the big dogs, well, nearly all the big dogs. Miami has had our number so far but we have a few tricks up our sleeves that will be rolling out in small increments that should make us compete better in every game. Surprise games against a team that we should have dominated but they turned out too close for comfort. We don't have to reinvent the wheel here, just make it spin as freely as possible. Fun times here in the league. The season has the nervous playoff feel to it at this point. I think we have a good shot at making a big push by then as we are all working on things we like and see an issue with. Great team effort as always. Great leadership from the GM and Captain. This team has all the ingredients for success. Let's see if it all comes to fruition.
