Review: I love this graphic! Really cool effect on the text of "Moon," love the paint splatters. Super clean render, blurred in all the right places but clear where it looks good. Great job I wish I could do this haha.

Review: I like how the render looks, and I really like the background with the color scheme. I just feel like the placement of the player is maybe a little too central? Alternatively, the background's transition from grey to color is a little jarring. Maybe it would look better with the background being completely colored? Great work regardless!

Review: I love the color scheme in this graphic. Really clean rendering of the helmet on Micheal Scott, looks super believable. The "Micheal Gary" part of the text is a little hard to read/blurry, but that could be the way it's hosted. Great work!

Review: I love how vintage this graphic looks. Good job interpolating the SDM logo behind the hands but over the shirt. It might help it look more real if it was altered slightly, rather than just pasted on the shirt, but the layer mask looks clean.

Review: Funny that the first graphic I came back to for reviewing was the one you made for me! Thanks again ? Review: I love this graphic, and not just because I'm in it. The way you did "Bernard" looks really cool, and I love the zoom-in effect you did. Color scheme is awesome. The only small critique I would have is that the "ottawa lynx" part is a little hard to read, since its often white on white. Great work!

@gorlab Definitely fair on that pixel line issue, I noticed it after I uploaded, but as far as low effort, this took me like an hour or two to make... I'm not great at graphics, so learning how to do the layer mask and the words right took me a long time, and I have to go over tutorials every time I want to do that. I appreciate the design critiques though, something good to think about. I'm not sure I would like having the bottom text be all capitalized aesthetically, but to be fair I didn't try doing it all caps, so maybe it would have looked better, but I can see where the Congradulations could be all caps. One thing I have found is often times I feel like graphics on this site tend to be super involved, with a bunch of crazy effects going on, and I kinda like having minimalist designs that are a little more simple. Which of course means they have to be consistent (ie, not mine, like you pointed out with the pixel issue) and high quality (not exactly mine either, at least not yet). Definitely room for improvement, but not everyone is putting out great stuff the 3rd time they've ever used GIMP

The Music of the VHL By A. Simon-Cowell-Type Part 1 That’s right, everyone’s favorite musical hockey column is back for another round, but this time we are heading up to the majors! For those of you unfamiliar with the format, each week we will take a look at a song that is in some way related to the chosen team. It could be for lyrical content, artist name/origin, or really anything tangential enough to make a connection to. Kicking it off, let’s take a look to the East; the Eastern Block, that is. Moscow Menace Back in the U.S.S.R., by the Beatles Kicking us off we are taking a strong start with one of the Beatles many hits. Off their famous White Album, this surf rock parody is an infectious tune. Optimistic and lively, and just a little tongue-in-cheek, Back in the U.S.S.R. fits the Menace perfectly. They have reason to be optimistic. A clash with Riga in which they lost 3 times by a single goal, one of those coming in a game 5 OT, the others a 2 goal loss and a 3 goal win, this recent expansion team could have almost taken a trip to the conference finals. Looking forward, although it appears their window may be briefly closing with the eventual retirement of league great Podrick Cast, they still have a year to push through and claim the Cup; a feat which might seem just within their grasp. It won’t be easy though. The European Conference is looking especially dangerous this year, and they are going to have to really step it up, and get “back to the U.S.S.R” for their training camp soon.
