Harumpf Sizzling Heading Into Playoffs! Oskars Harumpf celebrates one of his 5 goals in the last 8 games. He's also put up 12 points in that span. Everyone’s favorite 5’5” 250 pound superstar, Oskars Harumpf is literally on fire heading into the post season. He’s been putting up points at an alarming rate over the last 8 games and has set new career marks across the board as he closes out his 2nd season. Harumpf put up 12 points in the final 8 games, consisting of 5 goals and 7 assists to help Helsinki lock up the European Conference. He’s been clicking with line mates Faraday and Stokes and the trio is poised for playoff greatness. Before we get to that, we need to mention Harumpf’s new career numbers, 22 goals, 41 assists, 63 points. This is a nice increase from his rookie season where he put up a respectable 51 points. Harumpf has been working hard and it’s paid off this season especially here at the end of the season where his game has really taken off. Now to the playoff projections. With the way Harumpf, Faraday and Stokes are playing on the 2nd line for Helsinki, they should be a huge factor in the playoffs. They are a capable of taking over a game and will drive the opposition crazy with their incredible puck movement and cycling ability. If Harumpf wins the draw, which he usually does 55% of the time, they are almost impossible to get the puck from. Harumpf zips in and out of coverage and makes defenseman fall down, Faraday dangles around defenders and shrugs off checks, Stokes man handles everyone on the ice and is murder along he boards. It’s truly a sight to behold. Helsinki is in a great position to win when they have this trio rolling. Oh and of course there’s the all world line of Naomi Young, Robert Gow III and Jackson Miller to fall back on. Nice, isn’t it? Yep, Helsinki is pretty deadly on offense this year and are not doubt one of the favorites to win the cup. Oskars Harumpf got a taste of playoff action last year, playing 11 games, winning one series and losing in 7 in the other. Harumpf contributed 5 points, but was not a key factor in playoffs for Helsinki. In his first playoff action in the pros he learned a lot about himself and what he must do to take his game to the next level. He comes into these playoffs more prepared than last year and in his mind has been playing playoff hockey for the last 8 games. He’s stepped up his game and should be able to carry that momentum into the playoffs. Look for Harumpf to be a major player this year for the Titans in their quest for a cup. He’s got the skills and determination to be a playoff performer. All that’s left is putting it all together and making an impact on the ice. The Titans will give him every opportunity to make a name for himself in the post season this year and we think Harumpf just might be the x-factor needed to bring Helsinki the cup. [525 Words]

Helsinki Titans center Oskars Harumpf has 8 points in his last 4 games and is catching fire as we head torward the playoffs. Harumpf now has 58 points on the season and has just reached 20 goals for the first time in his pro career. Being primarily a playmaker, it's a nice accomplishment for Harumpf to join the 20 goal club. Harumpf has had a career season in points, goals and assists this year and will no doubt be a big help to Helinski in the playoffs. Harumpf's chemistry with Stokes and Farady has been excellent and the trio is looking dangerous every time they step on the ice. Harumpf is trying not to shoot too much so Faraday and Stokes can get the goals, but when you're as a good as Harumpf sometimes you have to just bury your chances. Look for Oskars Harumpf to big a big factor in this years playoffs for Helsinki.

Oskars Harumpf Press Conference Helsinki Titans Center Oskars Harumpf Answers Questions. We're here today with 5'5" 250 pound playmaking center Oskars Harumpf from Middelfart, Denmark. Oskars is a 2nd year player for the Helsinki Titans and is also one of their assistant captains. Oskars had a nice rookie season last year of 51 points and has followed that up with a sophomore campaign of 46 points in 56 games so far. Harumpf is looking good and is a former Oates trophy winner with 130 assists in the VHLM and also won a cup with Bratislava. He's a future star of the league and will now take questions. Ask away! @jRuutu: What areas of your game are you planning on improving next? Thanks for the question. I just reached 90 practice hours in passing and defense which was a goal of mine. I now plan to put the same work in on face offs. I want my game to remain as playmaker so I won't be spending much time working on my shot for a little while. After reaching a level of face offs where I'm comfortable, I plan on adding a phsyical element and some strength to my game. I am one of the league leaders in hits taken so I'd like to be a little stronger on the puck going forward. Any goals for next few seasons? My #1 goal is to win the cup with my Helsinki teammates, but personal goals would be to reach and maintain a point per game mark over the course of the season. I think that could happen next season, long term goal is to be the best playmaking center in the entire VHL. I'd like to win multiple awards and have fun doing it. Oh and one day have more points in a season than my old teammates Zoidberg and 3Moons, obviously. @DollarAndADream Which team do you expect to come through in the race for 1st place in league between Quebec City, Helsinki, and New York? Thanks for the questions, that is indeed a tough question. All 3 teams are the class of the league right now and have put together great seasons. As much confidence as I have in Helsinki, Quebec and NY are little in front of us in points so I would imagine it'd be between those 2 teams. Both have explosive offenses and NY has a little better goals against. I would think NY will emerge as the top team in the league at the end of the season, but it will be close between all 3. Is there any certain player that you are modeling your game after in the VHL? I don't model my game after any one person, but that is probably because I don't know of any other 5'5" 250 pound playmaking centers in the league. I think I'm kind of unique and once my physical game develops over the next couple seasons I will be a truly unique player. If there is anyone in the VHL that is a pure playmaker with grit then that'd be who I'd say I would like to play like. How do you feel about your progress thus far, point-wise and other areas? I think I have ben developing pretty well, working hard every week to get done whatever I can to improve. After joining mid-way through S39 I'm little behind the top players from my draft class, but my game is definitely coming together. Points-wise I am happy and I realize playing in the european conference seems to mean a few less points. That being said, breaking 50 in my rookie season and hopefully 60+ this season I think I'm doing well. I feel I've progressed well off the ice also, being name assistant captain 2 years in a row now, it was really an honor to be named to a leadership role as a rookie last year. That means a lot to me. So overall I'm pretty happy with how things have gone. [675 words] (Ok feel free to grade this now, if more questions come in I will answer them until graded.)

What a line! The trio has been put together following Helsinki's recent trade and have looked excellent. Harumpf and Stokes already had great chemistry but now add the sharp shooting Faraday to the mix and you have one of the most exciting lines in hockey! Harumpf has been winning face offs and dishing sweet passes to both Stokes and Faraday who have been burying their chances. The line is so good even Harumpf got a couple goals recently, which was exciting being that he is a pure playmaker. With Faraday being a sniper and posessing one of the most lethal shots in the VHL, they should continue to work magic together. Stokes is the perfect addition to the line, playing with Harumpf all last season the two know exactly where each other is going to be on the ice. Stokes is also the physical force on the line, capable ot throwing big hits and opening up ice and creating loose pucks. Stokes can bury it also, but it just goes to show that a line of a playmaker-sniper and power forward shooter is an excellent combination. Just another reason why Helsinki is so amazing at the game of hockey. Coming soon to a rink near you!

Meaning Behind the Name Harumpf! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LzDX63iAJ4 Recently Oskars Harumpf has been asked where he got his unique name. Some speculated it was a common name in his hometown of Middelfart Denmark, but none were sure the exact origin. In an effort to put the rumors to bed, Harumpf will reveal where his amazing name came from. If you viewed the video above, you'll know that it's derived from a great word used in one of the all time funniest movies "Blazing Saddles." Some of you may remember this hilarious movie, but it was obviously made before 99% of the league was even born, so it's possible that clip is new to many of you. If you have not seen the movie, go watch it immediately, you will not regret it. If you enjoy watching movies under the influence of whatever your vice is, even better. You'll laugh your nuts off. Anyway, Harumpf is a words used to express general discontent by a group or person, kind of like "rabble rabble." It's also a great word for the name of a dwarf, since most dwarves are grumpy and surly in nature. At 5'5" at 250 pounds, Oskars Harumpf is about as close to a dwarf as we'll ever find in the VHL, so the name clearly fits. But enough about me, let's talk about the Helsinki Titans! Helsinki has just made a huge trade to bring in that guy name Gow, maybe you've heard of him? Well to be honest Harumpf had not heard much about him, but that was in no way a reflection of Gow's superstar status as much as it was Harumpf not knowing enough about the league. He quickly found out after the trade from looking at Gow's player page and stats that the dude is pretty good. How good you ask?..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZthmjxxcF0 Yep, so he's pretty good. Gow should help put the Titans over the top this season as they were already in 1st place. Holding a big lead in the European conference at the time of the trade, there's no question now that Helsinki should win the division and be a favorite for the cup. Oskars Harumpf is excited for the potential of this team and can't wait to see who his new line mate will be. The trade should allow Naomi Young to stop having to be double shifted and either James Faraday or Jackson Miller should slide down to play with Harumpf. We doubt Gow will play with Harumpf, but you never know. A line of Harumpf-Stokes-Faraday/Miller should be pretty lights out. Oskars has been playing well but now with more attention being paid to better players, he should be able to sneak a few more points in. He's pretty sneak already, being just 5'5", but his 250 pounds is usually gives him away. Regardless, Harumpf should be in for a strong remainder of the season and playoffs. He's approaching 50 points already and should be able to break his rookie scoring mark of 51 points as he already has over 40 points in 50 games this season. Look for Harumpf and the Titans to continue to play well down the stretch and be a force in the playoffs. There's no question the Titans will leave opponents saying "Harumpf!" With the recent trade by Helsinki for veteran sniper Robert Gow, everyone's favorite bulbous pants sharting superstar Oskars Harumpf will be getting a new linemate. It may not be Gow himself, but the trade will allow Helsinki to roll 6 different forwards in their top 6, which means Naomi Young will not have to double shift on line 2. Harumpf has been playing this season with Tyson Stokes and Naomi Young, while Young has been also centering the top line. They've been productive and Young is an amazing player, but with the trade for Gow, Harumpf will see one of Jackson Miller, James Faraday or Gow himself be moved onto Harumpf's line. We would assume that it will be Harumpf-Stokes and Miller or Faraday, allowing Gow to play with Helsinki's other top tpe player in Young, but management has some nice options. Regardless of who joins Harumpf and Stokes on the 2nd line, the trio will of course find instant success and dominate the league.

Harumpf Creepin' Up the Score Sheet! Harumpf dangles on a break away goal in a recent game vs Riga. The goalie stood no chance. Harumpf is creeping up toward the point per game mark, with 32 points now in 39 games. The little tubby puck wizard has been hot of late with 10 points in his last 7 games, all assists as he's gotten back to his playmaking ways. Last time we checked in with Harumpf he had 11 goals and 11 assists, which was great, but he is a passer and wasn't happy with his distribution game this season. Now with 11 goals and 21 assists, his point totals are looking more normal for what we've come to expect from him during his time in the VHL and VHLM. The last 7 games he's really been playing well. The recent point surge is exciting with one rival saying "You see my boy Harumpf creepin'?" Jody 3Moons always had a way with words, but he's right, Harumpf is indeed creeping up the score sheet towards a point per game. Harumpf's 32 points has helped Helsinki maintain a lead over the Vikings and the Express in the European Conference. The first place Titans are looking comfortable now with an 11 point lead in the standings over the Vikings and a 13 point lead over the Express. Needless to say the Titans are about to run away with the division. Many players are on their game including Harumpf's line mate Tyson Stokes who now has 30 points of his own. Helsinki continues to be led by Miller, Faraday, Draper and Young, who have 54, 51, 51 and 47 points respectively. The defense and goaltending are obviously playing great also. After a recent trade the Titans will supposedly get back a big piece later in the season, which should help even more as they prepare for the playoffs. Harumpf remains focused on the regular season for now as he pushes toward a point per game pace. Harumpf's recent hot play has coincided with a rumor that he may want to join former VHLM teammate Sachimo Zoidberg in Toronto. The two of them showed tremendous chemistry in their time together and many fans are clamoring for them to re-unite. Harumpf addressed these rumors last night saying "There's no question I enjoyed playing with Zoidberg and we had great chemistry, but I am a Helsinki Titan and we have more than a few guys capable of putting the puck in the net on this roster. I look forward to building the same chemistry with them as I did with Zoidberg and I have no plan of leaving this team." Well that's a pretty straight forward statement from Harumpf as the bulbous superstar obviously knows how to put a rumor to bed. So we can expect Oskars Harumpf to continue to grace Helsinki with his skills and keep fans in the seats of Hartwall Arena. One of the most popular players on the team, Harumpf is a fan favorite and his jersey sales have gone through the roof this season. Orders of XXL Short jerseys continue to pour in. Apparently all his fans want to wear the same size sweater as the 5'5" 250 pound Harumpf and who can blame them. With the way Harumpf is creeping up the score sheet, he'll be a league superstar in no time. [565 words] I realize creepin' is not a word, but is relevant slang for the article.
