Considering this a "generic comment" is exactly the problem. Using slurs adds nothing to a conversation and only serves to be hurtful to others. It is immature, plain and simple.

How does anyone read "big gay" when talking about a game you lost and not see it as you saying gay=bad? You're being a troll if you're seriously trying to make that argument.

    Howe Are They Doing?
A look at the latest additions to the VHLM's greatest team.

Just before the trade deadline, the Houston Bulls added six new players, the Howe brothers. This full line (including goalie) has only added to the excitement growing down in Houston about their chances at a cup run this season. So let's take a look at how these newest additions have impacted their team.

In the eleven games since the Howes joined the Bulls, Houston is 7-1-3. Seventeen points in eleven games is impressive, but what is even more impressive is that they just keep getting better. Two of those four losses came in their first two games with the team. Since then, the Bulls have had three straight wins against 5th-ranked Mississauga and a win against 3rd-ranked Minnesota; both of these are teams that have given the BUlls trouble earlier in the season.

So how are each of the Howe boy's doing individually?

As you can see, Moe has been a hits machine, and he and Doc have each sat for ten penalty minutes. Although his group hasn't had major offensive production yet, they are still a young group of players and are developing quickly. The being, said Midas's 11.11% shooting percentage definitely isn't a bad showing.

However, easily the most impressive player in this group so far has been Haz Howe. In his first three starts, he has had two wins and a shootout loss. While he has certainly benefited from having the best defense in the league in front of him, it has still been a great start for the young rookie.

    Greetings VHLiens,

I'm fresh off of a permanent ban from VHL affiliate, the Simulation Basketball Association (SBA). I was permanently banned for responding to a post from a Board of Director member with an ableist slur, along with a vast history of behavioural issues (one official 2 week ban and a 2.5 day discord mute in ~5 years of activity) and an accusation of driving away numerous unnamed members from their website and sim league.

Of course, a lot of you may already be familiar with my permanent ban from VHL-rival hockey sim league, the SHL. I was banned from this sim league for similar vile behaviour and similar accusations of being responsible for "driving away" members with my anti-authoritative and politically incorrect online behaviour.

By sheer coincidence, it seems like I run into permanent bans when my heinous behaviour gets directed towards a league commissioner, director, or head office member. I'm certain that these permanent bans are truly the result of me being a despicable human being, and definitely not the seemingly common trait shared by a fairly alarming amount of sim leaguers in "positions of authority", of an unwillingness to be questioned, or disrespected, by a lowly run-of-the-mill sim league member. Obviously this can't be the case and I've come to terms with the fact that I am indeed unfit for online social interaction.

With that being said, I am using my VHL.com written article this week to announce my intention to complete the "Triple Crown" of sim league permabans, with the final and most important sim league, the VHL.

It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but I'm fairly certain that my attitude and behaviour are just not compatible with the current politically correct social climate. I'd like to forewarn @Beketov, @Will, @Quik, @Devise and the rest of the VHL's power structure that it's very possible my disgusting, offensive, and downright abusive e-behaviour should eventually send me to the place where boubabi at. This will fulfill the prophecy and secure my legacy as the only man permanently banned from the "big 3" sim leagues. Until that time comes, I plan to be quite active on VHL since it's the only sim league I'm not permanently banned from.

    Thanks for reading!

Hey everyone, you may (or may not) know me from the SBA. I'm here today to gauge interest in our community for a side project I am working on with Molholt.

Now, before I go further - a lot of the elements are wildly different than the typical point task league. That's why I am here to gauge interest - to our knowledge, this hasn't really been done so much (if ever), so we aren't sure what to expect in terms of interest.

First things first, this will be a baseball league run by OOTP, using a backend similar to SBAO (or, for those here not in SBA, something that functions similar to the VHL Portal). Let me run through some bullet points about this new league.

Baseball, which brings with it OOTP, probably the best sim engine on the market quik sim. Each season will last two weeks, meaning up to 26 could happen in a calendar year. Random player creation. No starting archetype or base attribute list, every player is randomly generated by OOTP (with some requirements). Decide what position you want to play and then see what your starting point is! Do you have some potential for the future, or are you a solid player already? How will it impact your build strategy? No manual player regression or forced retirement. Players can play until they retire in-game. Careers in less than a year. With quik sim and no career length, experience an entire career in less than one calendar year! Player progression and regression are ON in-game. This means you can develop naturally in addition to your own points being applied, and will regress naturally. Injuries and suspensions turned ON. Given the quik sim nature and no limit on career length, missing time for injuries isn't a huge detriment and brings with it much more realism. No point tasks. You do not have to write an article, create a graphic, record a podcast or do anything of the sort to earn points. Subscription model. The league would be setup with a subscription model, meaning that if you're a monthly subscriber you get a lump sum of points each season to apply to your player(s). Given that two seasons would be within a month, each month would be two seasons worth of points. Low Price Point. I'm thinking $5/month gets you one pitcher and one hitter. Once created, they'll be in the system. Any month you subscribe you'll get points for both of them for two seasons. Potential for more players/levels if there is desire. Automation. No requirement for jobs. Updates will be handled by the system I am building specifically for this. Simming done by Molholt. No need for any other jobs. Potential Monetary Prizes. There is potential to reward league MVPs, Cy Youngs, etc., with a monetary reward. If there is a buy in for GMs then there is potential to pay the championship GM each season, etc. Just a thought right now. Low Effort. With no tasks to do, simply show up and enjoy your player's development and career. Chat with other players, decide on free agency, see where you get drafted, etc., all without worrying about writing an article or making a graphic each week.
Because this is so wildly different, we are gauging interest before we devote a ton of time to it. I know it's out there compared to the standard leagues such as the SBA, VHL and EFL and even the money leagues like the SHL and PBE. However, with the two of us behind it and our passion for not only sim leagues, but baseball as well, I think this could be a really fun community to be a part of. I also think it could attract a completely different group of people that might find some interest in this that then filter over into our standard sim league community. Start them off with low effort and get them hooked, bring them over here. I think it's important to throw out there that we aren't competing with the SBA, or the PBE even, or really anyone in the sim league community. Our subscription model will also not find its way to the Affilite Trio of the SBA, EFL, or VHL - this is a separate endeavor entirely.

Despite his recent run ins with his new peers that has included getting beat up at a strip club and getting tossed into a shark tank at Sea World, Blair has stayed adamant that he will persevere. When asked about his recent venture into hockey, Blair had this to say:

emidas got a reaction from Da Trifecta in Claimed:A troubled star out of his depth
    By Renee Young

With the recent closing of the nationally-renowned United States Football League, many of its former athletes are looking for another athletic outlet. Some have chosen to go overseas and seek smaller football venues, and others have decided to call it quits entirely, citing family and other dreams they’d like to follow. One such USFL star, however, has decided to try his hand at an entirely different sport – enter Emidas Blair, the sometimes useful Running Back for the Los Angeles Express. While most of the sporting world has express shock that someone of his average-ability at football would switch to another sport, most are actually quite relieved that he has given up his hopeless dream of becoming the best football player in the world.

Blair has foregone the usual pity party that is normally associated with losing a job, and has decided to go head first into the VHL, one of the most stable sporting leagues in the world. Citing that same stability as the main reason for his foray into hockey, Emidas has worked tirelessly with old high school and college coaches in an attempt to pick up the sport. Says his high school coach, Enzo Amore: “Emidas Blair is one of the realest guys in the room. He may not have spent his entire life playing ice hockey, but he spent the better part of his college life playing another form of hockey if you know what I mean. I’m talking about tonsil hockey. Not that hard.”

While his former colleagues on the football field and the coaches he has tirelessly worked with have nothing but praise for the former football star, we had to wonder if Blair could really pull this off. We decided to seek out his most recent ex-girlfriend, Britani Knight, in an attempt to gleam some insight into his personal life. What we found was not what you’d want to see out of your typical athlete. Despite his hopeful and charismatic demeanor, Emidas Blair has been dealing with abuse problems for the better part of his life. Knight says that the reason they broke up was his abuse of certain drugs (Editor’s Note: PEDs) that he thought could help him gain an edge over everyone else on the ice. Once this article comes to light, it may only be a matter of time before Blair starts looking for yet another sport to cheat at.

With this information in-hand, we contacted the subject of our article directly – going into the belly of the beast, as it were. We visited Blair in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland to discern what he thought of these allegations and whether he would come clean. To nobody’s surprise, Blair emphatically denied any involvement with PEDs and called his ex-girlfriend several slurs that may never be repeated. When Blair finally gave in to give us a comment, he had this to say: “I am not a crook. I have never, and will never take anything that improves my performance – except the little blue pill.”

Whether or not you believe that a football star can become an overnight hockey sensation, temper your expectations for the once-mediocre Running Back. Blair may be physically gifted in some respects, but what you see come tryouts and beyond may not entirely be natural. We have turned over our evidence and interviews to the VHL in hopes that this matter be taken seriously, so that Emidas is forced to compete on an even level as the rest of his peers. More on this story as it develops.
