A brand new season is upon us, and that means it's time to announce captaincy for this season's Malmo Nighthawks! Not much else to say here, except that this season is going to be an exciting one for the Nighthawks and I'm super intrigued to see how the team can do. I'll be the first to admit that after losing the first two games of the wildcard round to Helsinki, I had written Malmo off and was prepared to kickstart the off-season. Little did I know, the Nighthawks had something special up their sleeves, and surprised pretty much everybody with three straight victories to secure their spot in the Final Eight. It seemed like the Nighthawks just could not get anything going in the first two games. Conceding an incredible 14 goals combined over those games. While they didn't quite find their feet defensively over the course of that series, they did end up getting that scoring touch and combined for a whopping 17 goals over the span of three victories. The top line of Dayne, Telker, and Muffbeav lead the way for Malmo, with all three forwards having hit double digits for points scored in the post season already. Their next series against Warsaw has already begun, and the Nighthawks managed to sneak a victory in Poland to bring the series back to Malmo tied. A wonderful performance from rookie defenceman Tui Sova (@v.2) saw him score the first hat trick of his career, with the hat trick goal being a clutch game winner in double overtime. These playoffs have me really excited and I'm looking forward to how far Malmo can push this cinderella run.

1. I think we can just hug each other lots and be best friends and things will be ok. 2. I think London will be our toughest battle. 3. It was pretty interesting, but I wasn't too shocked seeing as there wasn't much done during the season before that. 5. I spend way more time on youtube, but I do love twitch a lot too. 6. I hate to say it, but Malmo might get the shaft, Riga is looking strong now. 7. I'm at like an 8 out of 10. I think he could be performing a little better, but I'm still satisfied.

1. i like a nice ham and cheese sandwich. pretty basic. 2. i would say the seattle bears since you've met in the playoffs a couple times. 3. yes! we should all play valorant on jeff's stream. 4. i would be in charge of making sure everybody had a great day. 5. i think i feel a little bit stale because my player is old and kinda stagnating, so i think that's purely on me. the league is in a great place. 6. i'm so tired but i have to answer this before i sleep. goodnight

1. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that we would recover and top the league. We're built different. 2. Huge shoutout to Reynolds for really stepping it up this year! He has been a welcome surprise standout player for us. 3. Honestly we got lines 1A and 1B right now, and they've just been absolutely rolling. 4. I'm really not too sure what I think of it. I'll probably try to bypass it completely and just go straight to VHL on my next player. 5. i like turtles 7. I'm really surprised by Malmo to be honest. I expected them to be a bottom dwelling team but the chemistry is there I suppose and they're holding a playoff spot again.

Season 77 was a season of change for the Malmo Nighthawks. We welcomed new management, drafted some new rookies, and said goodbye to some familiar faces. After trading away much of the leadership group, we were in a somewhat weird transition period. Having said that, the team took that challenge head on, and was able to forge a new identity going forward. It is my pleasure to present to you, the Season 78 Malmo Nighthawks Captains!
