Yeah really. I think we've played all our games against you and Cologne but haven't faced Riga or Davos at all yet. Meanwhile Quebec has breezed through without facing either of us yet.

Annoyed Instead of cutting on my studio's nice, shiny, powerful mac pros I'm stuck this morning working on a shitty PC at the ONF that doesn't seem like it was designed for half the workload it currently has. How is it the Government funded studio has worse tech than everyone else?

Console or PC? Loading times kill on the consoles, same with shitty controls. I found both to be great on my Mac though.

Funny how two of my forwards (Miller and Kristensen) wound up right next to each other. It is kinda sad how few points I've had with Miller though. I deem Kristensen to be my worst player and yet he has 1 point more in 1 less game than Miller. Hopefully the end of my career can be significantly better than the start I guess.

I'd be up for doing this

As I did last time, here are my thoughts as I listen: 1. I actually did put points in Discipline with Beketov because I was taking a bunch of penalties at the time. I don't know if it helped any or if I wasted the points but I tried. 2. Man, Braxton was from 24? God dammit, it's hard to follow how fast things have moved sometimes. 3. When I first looked at it I saw White and Gold. Once I scrolled through the comments and then went back it was blue and black (well, brown but that seems like the lighting) I'm guessing seeing the white BG of the skin made my eyes colour balance in a sense (the same way you tell a camera what colour white is by taking a picture of something pure white) so my eyes adjusted to see that it's not white at all but rather blue. We put it to a poll with the colour correction guys at work and they all agreed that its likely Blue and Black. The issue arises from having no known tones to go off of. Usually pictures have skin tones, a light source, etc which can tell your eyes "hey, you should adjust in this way." For example, if someone was wearing the dress our eyes would naturally try to get her skin tone correct and that, in turn, would make the dress colour correct. However we have nothing to go on but the dress itself (even a light source) would have helped) so our eyes are dying to decide for themselves.

Only just got around to listening to this. The things I've noticed to comment on: 1. For some reason it's odd for me to think of myself as one of the few S1 guys left. I keep thinking there are a lot of us but there really aren't. 2. We're the same age? Odd, never thought of it haha. 3. Holy shit, you've been here 5 years? I remember when you first joined. Fuck, how long have I been here haha 4. Do the thing in Quebec and then swing by the maritimes. I'm sure we can put together a VHL meet up with all us maritimers. Myself, Draper, I think at least 1 or 2 others are in NS. There used to be like 4 of us in Moncton so who knows who's still around haha 5. I never did the Co-Op program in grade 12 (sounds like the same thing but with a different name) since they didn't have anything in media which I knew i wanted to get into. However I do know a lot of people that took the course and enjoyed it. You basically get credits for learning what you're actually interested in instead of a bunch of bullshit you don't care about. Plus you get the added bonus that if the trades aren't for you, you realize it before you pay a bunch of money for trades school. Seems like a solid win-win to me. Just don't let it get you down too much if you realize that it's not for you. High schools love to make it sound as if you need to know exactly what it is you want to do by the time you graduate but most people don't and don't need to. Get an idea of what you're interested in, try it out, and if it's not for you than move on. I know several guys I started university with that wound up graduating in completely different fields than they initially started in and there's nothing wrong with that.

I always suck at soccer sims and don't have the time to dedicate to joining but I will say that you guys DESPERATELY need a skin. Jcink is dead simple to code (you can use old IF coding even) so I'm sure someone should be able to help you out.

Fixed, no need to make me sound worse

It sounds decent and looks amazing but, honestly, even 6 hours with no replay-ability (no open world, no multiplayer, etc) doesn't seem worth it at $70. I'll definitely look for a used copy or sales or something but I want at least 12+ hours of playtime out of a full price game.

Only just got around to reading this essay of a GFX post and am mostly just curious what lighting techniques I taught you haha. If anything i;ve found that I've been trying to emulate your tactics for most things in my work.

Not so helpful for console gamers or anyone who wants to actually play new games unfortunately.

$85 in NB, not a whole lot better. I'm just hoping they'll be stupid and not up the collector's edition prices and we can start getting $20 worth of content for next to nothing because the base game costs so much, I doubt it though. All this says to me is that I need to start buying used games again. They can be greedy and try to get an extra $15 out of me all they want but it just means they'll get nothing instead. They could have at least not increased the price on digital download games, although I'm sure they have. They don't have to bother packaging or shipping anything so why should we still have to pay insane prices for them. Give it a year and we'll likely be over $100 after tax just to buy a new game.

Seriously, they upped the fucking price again? This is getting a little much. We already pay an extra $50 on the consoles, why should we get tacked an extra $15 on per game as well.

Nothing says a rookie profile has to be done in one's first season.

Would love to do this a lot more than being a regular grader. Certainly know how the system works.
