  1. Well I don't know if the DNA's are somehow massively more amazing than beats I wouldn't expect them to be worth that price. In my sound design class last year someone did one of their projects on a blind headphones test between a set of Bose ($300), Sony ($50), Logitech ($30) and Beats ($200). They were blindfolded and given each set of headphones with the same song and section of movie played on each. In over 90% of the test subjects the Bose were unanimously first in quality, with the Sony's tying the Beats for second and the Logitech coming last. So idk, maybe some people just have more sensitive ears but I saw the results of 20 different people that showed Beats (at $150 more) were no better than the Sony cans. If you're really an audiofile, buy Bose. Otherwise, don't waste money on Monster. I guess that's just my opinion though.
  2. Would have to be a pretty big discount because the $300 beats sound exactly the same as a $30-$50 pair of Sony headphones. Monster is known for overpricing everything from HDMI cables ($50 for a cable, really) to headphones and everything I'm between. They charge what they can get away with because uninformed people buy them but that doesn't make the quality higher.
  3. Step 1: Return those headphones and any other massively overpriced Monster products you have. Step 2: Buy a decent set of Sony or Logitech headphones / Mic for a quarter of the price and get the same if not better quality. Step 3: Download Audacity and record.
  4. I went for a bit more of a blurry style than Janssen (its me, is anyone surprised?) but same sorta idea. Janssen, I did take your main text because it looked awesome. I also took your 28.jpg stock which you should upload because it was sweet. Other than that though I added no stocks Kesler so the main message I guess is to just keep working at things. This only had maybe 10 layers which is rarely enough. I sorta deem this a collab with both of the above BTW. Kesler’s main sig but a lot of elements of the style Janssen went for.
  5. Wanna upload the PSD? I have some ideas for this.
  6. Player Name: Evgeni Chekhov Cash you have: $4 750 000 Workout Name: 10 TPE Cost of Workout: $4,000,000 Cash Left: $750,000
  7. Probably lost out on 2 or 3 from being gone this past weekend but oh well, I'll still take 16 (total) TPE for free haha
  8. I meant move the text to the other side of the render but that's still better than it was.
  9. How did you go from that B&W monstrosity to this? I'm confused... In any case try moving the text from V2 over to the render's other shoulder. The dark spot where it is hides the text a bit too much. The lighting is also washing out the render's head which isn't really the main goal of lighting. On the plus side though the colours and stock work are actually quite well done.
  10. Ouch, probably my worst prediction year in awhile. Oh well, it happens I guess.
  11. I never banked once with Beketov and he's in the HoF with a trophy named after him. It is doable without banking any, it just takes a lot more work.
  12. You get all three plus an extra one of your choice. The doubles week gets you the most for your (literal) buck though so most would choose to go with that.
  13. As much as I'd love to pull the bias vote, Tukio (fun fact my phone wants to autocorrect that to Tulip) is really the obvious choice for getting the start.
  14. That's all Mike? Cologne's S35 is up to 29 right now
  15. Color and Hue are effectively the same thing when working with a B&W stock. You mind taking that off and letting me see what it looks like with some color? As it stands I can't really say what needs to be improved since everything is just sorta washed out.
  16. What did you set it to, hue? You lose ALL control of how B&W looks if you let a stock dictate it.
  17. Fun Fact number 1: B&W sigs don't contain strange red streaks that are clearly colored. Fun Fact number 2: It's best to master the use of lighting before trying B&W. Ever notice how old B&W films still have good contrast between light and dark? Its because they became masters of lighting scenes to look a certain way when the color was removed. GFX is no different. If something is lit poorly and then turned B&W it ends up as a washed out mess with no contrast or lighting to speak of. This is a case like that. I'm curious, if possible, could you remove the B&W and see what color looks like? Or did you actually desat everything instead of just applying a gradient map or B&W adjustment layer?
  18. Wish I would have bought one during the 'Nucks and Bruins cup series, predicted the winner and score plus the underdog team to win. Could have made a killing off that ticket. But alas, I didn't buy one and still haven't.
  19. Oh how I wish I could forget Bern
  20. Tough to see Cuff go, I've been with him for awhile in Cologne, but good to pick up a (relatively) early pick in the draft.
  21. Remember when people we're hailing Sandow as the dark horse of the draft and an amazing first player. Yeah...what happened to that?
  22. Assuming Higgins hasn't changed the way its set up the sides are a percentage to accommodate different resolution sizes. For example its not set to have the board width at say 850px but rather 85%.
  23. I think sportzin's servers are on the fritz. Leave the page open long enough and it should show up.
  24. I was just akin how much experience you have with skinning invisionzone. From what I can tell it appears similar to IF on the surface but seems to hide a lot of its code in things that can't be edited meaning doing more advanced changes to how things are laid out is basically an impossibility without a lot of knowledge on the matter.
