Blazzer reacted to TheNeonShaman in 1 Breakout Candidate From Every VHL Team
Today I will be looking at a breakout candidate from every single team in the VHL. A player from S85 or earlier on every team who has the potential to step up into a higher role and prove themselves as established players. Spoiler alert, there are some teams that had only one option under the criteria, even if the player has already sort of broken out or is not in a prime position to break out. Anyway, if you are on one of these teams and thought your player was in a better position to break out, I apologize as this is fully my opinion. I did try to name some honorable mentions when applicable. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

    Calgary Wranglers
    Vincent Laroche-Gagnier @vincentlg2007 (S86)

VLG had a slightly different path to the VHL than some others. He spent two full seasons in the VHLM before jumping straight to the VHL. Obviously the competition in the M is the lowest of any of the three leagues, and a sharp learning curve was to be expected for VLG. His rookie season was decent, with 14 goals and 30 points total. However this season I’m expecting a breakout year of at least 55 points, and at a ceiling pushing point per game. Something that would help his point total would be splitting up the 2 elite centers Calgary has in Goncalves and Janser, and putting VLG on one of their lines. On a strong Calgary team, he should be able to get some minutes with top players to help boost point totals.

    Chicago Phoenix
    Alexander Minion @UnknownMinion (S85)

Minion never really got a chance early in their career. In their first season they were a backup in Los Angeles. However looking at the stats, Minion has some real talent. In 10 games, they went 4-4. Not anything spectacular, except a save percentage of 0.929 and GAA of 2.91. Not top numbers among backups, however on a team like Chicago, who can definitely make some waves, Minion should have an opportunity to have a good first season as a starter.

    DC Dragons
    Lucas Grey @emidas (S86)

Can Mark Calaway break into the VHL yet? This season has pain written all over it. The team is aging, with only one player on the team S86 or younger. It’s a year for rebuilding and getting more draft capital, and with almost no young players, there’s not really many opportunities for breakout seasons. If I had to choose, Lucas Grey is the single S86 player, so maybe they can break out into a bigger role this year.

    HC Davos Dynamo
    Lachlan Summers @kirbithan (S86)

Another established contender, another backup turned starter. Summers put up some very good numbers in the games, and she was undefeated in regulation. With Jake Thunder holding down the back end, and the high powered offense, Summers should have a great opportunity to become a certified starter in the league.

    Helsinki Titans
    Daryl Dixon @Ricer13 (S86)

After a very solid rookie season, Dixon looks to improve this year on a team that is in transition. With veterans Nils Godlander and Matty Fire on his line, he should be able to break out into stardom. Dixon will be a key piece to the future of the Titans, and this season should prove that. I’m expecting a point per game year for Dixon, and if the Titans end up pushing for a playoff spot, he will be the reason why.

    London United
    Leonard Triller @Triller (S86)

This rookie already looks poised for a great freshman campaign. He exploded for 89 points in 72 VHLE games last season, and was stellar for Team Canada in the World Juniors. Triller will also have one of Igor Molotov or Ivan Retoslav as his centers, both players being proven talents in the league. Triller has shown some great offensive talent, and has some great grit in his game that will make him a tough player to come up against. On a London team that looks to be pushing for a playoff run, Triller should be able to find his step and have a great rookie year.

    Los Angeles Stars
    Sunglasses Joyo @JetsGoalie101 (S85)

The center is really the only player on the Stars who hasn’t broken out yet. Joyo is stuck behind three other centers on the depth chart, but that means they will most likely get a chance to play on the wing of an established center in the league. As the only player who has yet to break out on the Stars, I’m not sure how good Joyo could be, but a solid 38 point year last year makes me think anything 55 points plus can be counted as a win.

    Malmo Nighthawks
    Yaroslav Trunov @qripll (S87)

The first S87 player on this list, Trunov had an underwhelming rookie season, but the 6th overall pick definitely has a ton of talent to show off. Coming into the VHL after just one year in the minors became more of a transition season than just a few games. However this year, on a Malmo team that is retooling, Trunov should find himself getting great ice time. This should be a great season for the young winger.

    Moscow Menace
    Left Alone @okochastar (S86)

Moscow is similar to DC in the way that there really aren’t any players primed for a breakout. However the similarities stop there. Moscow is a contender with strong players all over the roster. So like LA, there’s only really one player left who can break out at this point in their career. Left Alone is a winger who definitely has potential, but after a struggle of a first year in Seattle, they were traded to Moscow hoping for a new start. I think Alone should be able to put up better numbers, though how big the break out could be or if it really happens at all is yet to be seen.

    New York Americans
    Babay Shrimp @Blazzer (S85)

After a few seasons in the VHLM and VHLE, Shrimp had a pretty respectable rookie year last year, putting up 17 goals and 41 points. I’m expecting her to leap forward in production this year and hit at least the 60 point mark on a New York team with quite a bit of firepower.

    Prague Phantoms
    Nikolas Kauppi @Tetricide (S85)

Some would argue Kauppi has already broken out. I would agree with you. However on a team with no players left to break out, I circle back to Kauppi, who had a great 54 point effort in his rookie season. Now heading into his sophomore year with two elite centers down the middle, I’m expecting Kauppi to have a fantastic year, probably getting close to point per game and being a great piece of depth for this Phantoms team.

    Riga Reign
    Skor McFleury @Alex (S87)

Riga has a team full of great young players already. Those of the likes of Daniel Weaver, Sadie St. Louis, and The Frenchman. However those three have already established themselves early into their careers. Honestly McFleury has as well, with a fantastic 42 point rookie season as a defenseman. But I think McFleury will hit the point per game mark at some point in his career, and this season will probably be a big step in that direction.

    Seattle Bears
    Yaroslav Bogatyrev @Bojovnik (S86)

Funnily enough, the second Yaroslav on this list. While Randy Bobandy is a prime candidate as well, he has arguably broken out more than Bogatyrev. So this season gives Bogatyrev a great opportunity to take advantage of the depth on the Seattle roster and really bump up the point totals. I have him as my most improved player in my predictions, and I think he’ll break 70 points at least.

    Toronto Legion
    Jimi Jaks @kelvi (S87)

With an honorable mention to fellow S87 draftee Mac Atlas, though Atlas has already had a solid rookie season for the Legion so I believe he is already broken out and will just continue to grow this season. Jaks is coming into the league after putting up fantastic numbers in the VHLM and VHLE, so I’m expecting nothing different in the VHL.

    Vancouver Wolves
    Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ (S86)

It’s difficult not to look at Vancouver and pick Oreo McFleury or FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist, however I believe these two talented wingers will be big pieces contributing to Kerr’s breakout season. Kerr had a solid rookie year; 44 points in 72 games is nothing to scoff at. However I believe with McFleury and Analfist on his wings, Kerr will have the offensive help to put up some great numbers as the 2nd line center for a contender in Vancouver.

    Warsaw Predators
    Tim Riggins @Jayhawk (S87)*

Riggins is coming into the VHL pretty early in their development, hoping to make a splash on a Warsaw roster that is very solid and just looking for some depth. Riggins decided to play two VHLM seasons and skip the VHLE, so there could be some worry for inexperience against tougher competition. However Riggins will have some experienced VHL players on their line, so hopefully that will balance it out. Time will tell if Riggins was rushed to the VHL or not, and if a VHLE season would have been beneficial or not.

Good luck this season, let’s see if any of these predictions come true!

*I'm pretty sure Riggins is playing in the VHL this year, but if in any case I'm wrong, whoops.

Blazzer got a reaction from FrostBeard in Why did Vegas draft whoever they drafted?
A small recap on what happened for us to be able to pick those that we did on that night itself. We did make trades in order to move up the draft board with the intention to draft higher TPE players that we had great interviews with. As a GM, I really focused on trying to bring in more locker room activity and better-earning players this time which is why we made the few picks that you guys saw. Currently, we do have 7 players with the breakdown being 4 forwards, 3 defenders and a goalie (yes we have one, finally). Now the numbers aren't very impressive but I sure am hoping for quality over quantity here. Now back to the reason I wrote this article.

    First round, 3rd overall
    Dank Turtle
The future Riga Reign center was pretty high on my draft list but wasn't on top before I sent out a draft interview. My reason is there were other players that were ahead in TPE and earning with a similar locker room presence as Dank hence I wasn't too keen on drafting him. However, a last-minute Achilles injury in one of the players I had my eyes on forced me to look into other players like Dank, Deluca, Jensen and even Pope Francis. I did choose Dank in the end because his interview stood out and most importantly, he wanted to be a part of the organisation. He is projected to be on the starting lineup every game night and I am looking forward to seeing his player pop off.

    First round, 10th overall
    Leo Lewkowicz
This is the pick we obtained from the trade with Mexico, shoutout to cole for being an amazing GM to work with. Trading up was what I had in mind but the person wasn't. By the time it got to the 10th, Eric Queefson was already off the draft board and we were bummed because twists expressed a lot of interest in coming back and we traded up for him. we looked around and Viper saw potential in Leo Lewkowicz. The solid defenseman spent S87 with Mississauga and nearly racked up a PPG. We rushed in a last-minute interview and hoped for the very best with drafting Lewkowicz. With his addition, we got a strong group of defenders that we can rely on.

    Second round, 12th overall
    Jeremia Barbaslov
This pick went to a forward again because I felt that it was time to bring in more forwards so that we could at least score goals. The future Toronto Legion winger fell into our hands and we took the chance to draft him. He didn't have the greatest season but we believe that he can insane value to the team by having high offensive stats. It was a pleasure speaking to Je Barbaslov and we definitely took that into consideration when drafting.

    Second round, 18th overall
Ronald Johnson MacWallace III (RJMW III)
This pick was one that I was really excited about. All over the league, I saw him interacting with people and especially in JST which immensely caught my eye. I knew I had to do something to get this player on my team and Viper pulled off the work because he is the AGM and his job is on the line every day (as we have established on the draft stream). RJMW earns 14 TPE on average since he joined and actively engages in the locker room. This meant a lot to me because I knew that I was gonna be drafting a reliable, engaging and steady earning player.

I just wanted to put this out there for all of you quickly so we can all be on the same page going into season 88; of note the GM’s in the VHL and VHLE will be receiving the same message.

Obviously we do not expect anyone, GM’s included, to be on and available 24/7 however communication with others, be that other GM’s or your players, is important and is a main focus of your job. Moving forward we would like to make it clear that we can and will remove you if the base expectations of your job are not met. This means:

    1. Being available, within a reasonable timeframe, to other GM’s regardless of what level they are at. In a way these people are your “coworkers” and their ability to complete their job will sometimes depend on you. This includes but is not limited to trade talks, call up discussions, etc. This accessibility extends to both the forum and discord. You can have your preference but you should at least be reachable on both.

    2. Being available, within a reasonable timeframe, to your players. You are their first and primary point of contact so if they have questions or concerns about the team they need to be able to come to you. The same about discord / the forums applies here.

    3. Releasing players who's rights you do not have after the season finishes and off-season begins so that things can be moved forward properly.

    4. Being present for drafts whenever possible and sending an AGM, representative, or list whenever you are not. We recognize the drafts won’t fall on dates and times that work for everyone, things will happen, but making a reasonable effort is expected.

Blazzer reacted to Trazan in Tord Yvel - A first rounder?
What is the one burning question all GM’s of the VHL are sitting in their office thinking about?
Sweating, fingers through the hair, Screaming followed by long times of eerie silence and praying to the higher power of their choice?

WHO WILL BE THE BEST PLAYER FOR MY TEAM  IN THIS DRAFT?

To help relieve the GM’s of some stress I have put together a sort of scouting report on Mississaugas Tord Yvel who might just be the answer to the question keeping brass up at night.
Yvel didn’t play the full season in the VHLM but after watching him in the junior showcase tournament as well I think I have enough to make a fair assessment.
    Here Goes.

Joining the Mississauga Hounds in the middle of the season Tord seems to have found his footing pretty fast. Placed on a first pairing with half-man half-machine BIG B
Tord was given a golden opportunity to succeed. While things could have gone better it was in no way a failure.
If you have read the biography you know that he hasn't been skating on any serious level since his fathers abduction in 2020.
To come in and play though first line minutes after a hiatus that long is no easy task.
With 22 Games played in the s87 regular season Tord managed to put up 13 points(1 Goal - 12 Assists) and while points are nice that's not really what Tord is about.
Mr.Yvel is a defense-first kind’a defender with a great first pass, transitioning the puck up the ice.
highlighted by his 30 TPE spent on pokechecking, 29 on Passing and 27 defensive zone coverage, those are the three highest attributes of Tord Yvel.
While his skating has a weird look to it he's actually not that bad of a skater, He won’t blow past people with dazzling speed but he will certainly not be put on his heels in the VHLM either.
With a total of 52 in Skating Tord has a long way to go before he can keep up with the lightning fast VHL, But for a VHLM rookie he’s no snail.

Where Tord has really come to shine is the s87 Junior Showcase tournament.
he’s over a point per game player while also helping his team (Steelers) keep pucks out of their own net.
While Tord is second overall in Penalty minutes which is something he must get down to a more reasonable level
if he’s gonna fulfill his dream of being a two way minute muncher in the big leagues,
Otherwise hi’s stats are very nice and just what you want to see in a prospect worthy of first-round consideration.
I’m just gonna let his ranking spots do the talking and you will see why I have Tord Yvel as high as I do on my draft-rankings.

5th in Assists (t)=Tied 5th in +/-(t) 10th in Hits 3rd in Shots Blocked(t) 2nd in Minutes played 4th in Points For Defensemen  (with approximately 18 games played)

If that can’t convince you that Tord has a big and bright future on your team and in the VHL. Nothing can.
The GM’s picking in the first round must be sure the player their picking is a surefire superstar or they might find themself out of a job in a few seasons
Because letting Yvel slide and pick a dud will not please ownership or fans.

Blazzer reacted to badcolethetitan in Mexico City Kings Finally Break the Curse
Mexico City Kings Finally Break the Curse

    June 6 2022

June 6th, 2022, I was named the General Manager for the Mexico City Kings. I've been the GM for the Kings since S84 and I cannot believe it's been around 10 months now since I first started. The Kings were in a rough spot at the time, we had one player, that being @Jason kranz, and a bunch of picks in the upcoming draft. It was going to be an easy turnaround because of the picks left by @youloser1337, who set me up for success and helped the Kings turn around a 8-58-6 record into a 47-16-9 record. We ended up making the playoffs and played the Reapers, the team I used to AGM for in the first round. We ended up beating them and headed to the second round against the titans of the league at the time, the Las Vegas Aces.

    The beginning of the curse

I felt at the time that we had a pretty good team and that we had a chance against the Aces, but the team was also extremely stacked with @Shindigs at the helm. We ended up falling to the Aces in five games if I remember correctly, but regardless in my mind it was a great season to start off on. The first time ever in the league as a GM and I successfully took a team who finished last to the semi-finals, and we also lost to the winner at the time, so I really wasn't complaining. However, little did I know this would be the beginning of the STHS curse on me, where I could never get out of the semi-finals.

    S85 and S86

Next up was Season 85, my second season as the General Manager for the Kings. I thought coming into this season, we should be able to be a top four team easily, and potentially maybe go for top 2. Well, it did happen, technically, but we ended up getting the fourth seed for the second season in a row, as in S84 we also were the fourth seed. In the back of my mind, I knew that even if we ended up winning the first round, we would have to go against the Las Vegas Aces yet again and take them out, which just seemed almost impossible at the time. We ended up winning the first round against Saskatoon and headed to the second round, where well.. we lost. again. I believe we ended up losing this one in seven, as we had a 3-2 lead and ended up blowing it and then Las Vegas went on to win the cup. again. I knew at this point that I think I was cursed by Simon, because that's the second season in a row where we'd be fourth place and also lose in the second round. Fast forward, it's now my third season in the league as the GM for the Kings (S86) and I'm gonna be honest, I didn't expect us to be good. I thought we would be a 6th-8th seed honestly, but of course, what happens? Can you guess? Of course. Fourth seed. AGAIN. Three seasons IN A ROW. I think at this point Simon just wanted to watch me suffer as we ended up going into the first round and took down Miami, but now we played the absolutely stacked San Diego Marlins who were the first seed. I was like, ah we're probably just going to lose again to be honest, but we ended up taking a 3-1 lead in the series, so I had some hope. Was this finally it? Would we finally be able to break the curse and go to the finals? Absolutely not. Simon knew what he was doing playing with my emotions and we ended up falling to San Diego in Game 7. At this point, I was debating if I even attempt to have a good team and just build for the season after (S88), but I did my best in constructing a team that would be able to at least, make the playoffs.

    S87, it finally happens?

We're now in S87 and the draft was approaching. At this point, I was debating if I wanted to try to be a good team, or if I wanted to draft players for the following season really and compete then, but I decided to try to compete. I got extremely lucky that @Captain nugget decided to come back also, didn't really know where to put this in but here you go. Out of the draft, we had a 7-1-1 roster and I really expected us to be towards the bottom of the league. But then it happened. By a miracle of Simon, we ended up starting the season like 16-0-0 or something like that and I thought this was finally it. Simon has finally decided to bless me and give us a good season. Everything was working, all our players were having career years and we were unstoppable. We ended up finishing 1st for the first time in my history as GM for the Kings and I thought maybe this is finally it. Maybe the curse gets broken!

    S87 Playoffs to current date

The playoffs end up starting and we're the 1st seed, something I've never been able to experience. We ended up playing the Aces in the first round, and honestly it wasn't very close. It felt great to get revenge on the Aces (even though @Blazzer is an amazing GM), for all those times they beat us back in S84 and S85. We ended up beating the Aces in 5 games and headed to the second round, where we would play the bane of our existence, the Houston Bulls. So backtrack a little bit, when I ended up joining the league as GM, @AJW and @jacobcarson877 ended up also joining too. AJW ended up taking over Houston and Jacob took over San Diego. They both made their teams extremely competitive throughout their tenure and have done a fantastic job. So back to where I was, we're going to be playing the Houston Bulls, where for some reason this team always ended up giving us a problem. It didn't matter how good or how bad both teams were, Houston always seemed to get the slight upper hand on Mexico City and I was thinking about the curse in the back of my head. I knew that I could very well lose this series, because on paper, Houston looked like a contender and Mexico City many people said was a "pretender". The series ended up starting off 2-2 and it could've gone anyone's way, but that's when it happened. Game 5. Houston Bulls end up winning and taking the lead. I thought at this point, our season was over. I knew the curse was real. Simon hasn't forgotten. He gave me hope and is about to take it away for the fourth time in a row. I was debating making changes to my lines, but I knew that my lines got me this far, I might as well keep them. Game 6 happens. Win. We end up going to Game 7 for the third season in a row in the second round. This was it. If we could pull it off, we would be going to the finals. The game starts and Houston gets the first goal. Ouch. I'm watching from my press box as I see them score and I start to get worried, but only 6 seconds later, captain nugget the Free Agent and old Mexico City Kings legend ties up the score at one. We end the second and it's a tie game, as close as it can be. Heading into the third, Grizz Tazzo puts in a goal and we're up 2-1! I knew at this point, there was a very high chance that we would break the curse and move on, but of course, that was short lived. Houston would then tie up the score at 2 six minutes later and the game was a coinflip at this point. However, with 5 minutes left, the leading franchise point-scorer Captain Nugget scores and puts the Kings up 1. The clock ticks down and we've done it. The curse is finally over. We're heading to the finals and it's the first time I've been able to steer my team to the finals. You have no clue how nervous I was in potentially choking another season in losing in the semis. We'll be playing the Ottawa Lynx in the finals and the Kings are destined to hold the cup. It's going to be an amazing finals and I hope we're able to come out on top and bring home the second ever championship to Mexico City!

    Extra

To my team if you read this, it's been an amazing season. We've seriously pushed all the way to the finals and broke a curse that I thought would never be broken in my history as a General Manager in the M. You all have been some of the best players I've been able to have in my organization, let's bring home the trophy for every single one of us. We've all come a long way and I believe we can do it. Let's get our names on the trophy and take it home!

Blazzer reacted to Beketov in Forgive my Sentimentality
    Hello everyone,

Not gonna bother with a members tag on this, if you see it then great, you will be rewarded for that. If you don’t then…. Well why am I writing this because if you don’t see it how can you read this part?

Anyway, today marks 5717 days (that’s 15 years, 7 months, and 26 days if you’re curious) since the VHL opened its doors. What a random number you might say, why does that matter? Well if I do the math, and I have, I was born 5717 days before the start of the VHL. Given that I joined on day one and have been here ever since that means today marks the official day that I have been in the VHL just as long as I was outside of it. Is that a stupid thing to celebrate? Probably but that won’t stop me; so please let me indulge in a bit of sentimentality for a moment.

When the VHL started I had not yet completed high school, I had never had a girlfriend, hell I had never kissed a girl. I was a lonely nerd turning to the internet to find something to do; and I found it. The VHL was not my first sim league, wasn’t even the first one I joined ran by the people who ran it, but it was the first that felt different and felt like it had a good chance of surviving which so few at that point had done. I found a community here. I cannot honestly say that everything went perfectly or that my start in the VHL was without fault; I very nearly left for good within 2 months, but I stayed. I have now not only finished high school but university and going on 10 years working post-schooling. I have now not only had a steady relationship but a wife and two children, a life. All the while the VHL has been there, constantly evolving with the times sure but present. Over 5 years ago I took up the mantel of commissioner. I did it not because I thought I was necessarily the best person for the job but because I thought the league needed something, it was in trouble and I didn’t want to see it fail. I like to think that in these 5 years of growth I have at least stalled that failure.

5717 days likely means nothing to any of you, just as that paragraph likely means nothing to any of you, but it means something to me. This league, this place, this community has been a standard in my life for longer than most anything else. I’m not going anywhere right now, that’s not what this is, but I did want to mark the occasion because this league does mean a lot to me.

So if you’ve made it this far feel free to take 5 uncapped TPE for your troubles, on me. I’m not sure the insane total I’ve had over the years (probably over 10k by now) so 5 for everyone that I bored with this story should suffice as a thank you for being my weird extended internet family.

I started my management career in Las Vegas around S70, becoming the AGM to Poptart. I fell in love with managing teams, I would do everything in my power to help out and help build a strong team. I still feel this way today. as I returned to AGM Las Vegas under GM @Blazzer. Though we are not a very strong team this year, the fun and joy of managing a team has once again returned to me. The joy of trying new lines, recruiting new players, helping the first-gens, scouting the for draft, scouting for trades, all of it. Oh, and I can't forget yelling at my players to do what I say! With Las Vegas going into the playoffs with a not so great record, we are not the favorites at all. We are projected to get wiped out, which is very possible, but it is also possible we can upset teams if we please Simon enough. However, the first possibility is likely to be the only possibility. Overall, however, I am very happy to be back in the AGM field, and I look forward to the playoffs and seasons to come working as the AGM for Vegas. Who knows, maybe I'll even get a GM job one day, if I can stay active that is..

Blazzer reacted to Thunder in Rip Wheeler performing as expected
Looking into Rip Wheeler’s first season in the VHLM, hoping to find some individual success for this newbie, and to my surprise I was quite impressed.  But then if I really thought about it, Rip Wheeler is performing how everyone should expect him to be playing.  He’s surrounded by quality players, most notably Juan Ceson.  Ceson is a leader of hits and PIMS, and mentors his teammates to mimic his strength and perseverance.  Not to mention @dylanjj37 leadership in the locker room.  And then there is management. @Blazzer has been a star GM ever since taking over the helm from @Shindigs.  She has done quite well managing a team in transition, while keeping its legacy, Juan Ceson, somewhat content.  With assistance from @Jason kranz, who has moved on to manage another team, they kept the team together and competitive. @Blazzer smartly brought in a solid AGM to help her.  @Viperwill prove to be a good replacement for @Jason kranz.

With all the talent surrounding Rip Wheeler, helping him succeed, the question is, does Rip Wheeler play like @ScottyP?  Taking a look at the Las Vegas Aces team stats, I’m going to have to say, “yes.”  Rip Wheeler is consistently in the top three in most categories, including: goals, assists, points, PIMS, hits.  If there is anything he is lacking, and once again, it’s consistent with @ScottyP IRL, is shots blocked.  The reason is @ScottyP doesn’t want to damage his pretty face!

I grew up in a small town in Ohio. I can't even remember the name because I had so many bad memories there that I blacked it out. I grew up in Ohio is really all you need to know anyways. My parents were pretty nice except when Dad drank and Mom took her "coffee pills". Come to think of it, they were never nice. From a young age whenever I made a mistake Dad would finish his bottle of liquor and then beat me with it after. According to him I was constantly ruining his life and my Mom should have gotten an abortion. Between the physical and mental abuse that I suffered at home, I needed to find a way to escape. That escape was hockey. Since my parents never spent a penny on my existence, I had to work in order to play hockey. There weren't many jobs available to children 8 years and up, but luckily I found a job as a factory worker for Apple. They're pretty proud of their child labor, so it worked out well for me. I was only earning about a dollar an hour, so I tended to pull 20 hour shifts. I didn't sleep much when I was a child, I wonder if that's why the development of my brain never surpassed a 12 year old. At first I could only afford sticks and pucks, but as I got older I could spend even less time sleeping so I could earn more money at Apple. When I turned 12 they gave me a one dollar raise. This was honestly one of the happiest moments of my life. I could suddenly afford DOUBLE the hockey I was already paying for. This is when I began playing actual hockey for a team. I shot through the various leagues, and ended up playing with kids that were 18 years old.

After almost dying one night due to frostbite (I left my abusive parents house to live on the streets), I decided to buy a one way ticket to Los Angeles. At least there I could stay warm on the streets. After one of my practices I bumped into a man named @InstantRockstar. He was the GM of the hockey team local to LA (the Stars). He told me that he was out doing some scouting and had watched my whole practice. After that he muttered something about retention rates and seemed to space out for a second. Then he looked me right in the eye and said, "Son, I know you're good at hockey and one day you will be a pro. I'm going to pay for you to attend a hockey boarding school". I was really excited, not as excited as the time I got a dollar raise from the Apple factory, but still excited! I failed all of my classes constantly. In fact, my science teacher told me she had never met someone with a lower IQ than me! I took that as a compliment (lower score is better right). After almost getting cut from the team due to my grades, I started paying a fuckin' nerd to do my homework for me. He also let me cheat off of him during tests. I think he thought we were friends or something, but who the fuck would be friends with a nerd am I right? I was pretty popular at school. I definitely Eiffel Tower'd some bitch when I was a Junior with my friend @Spartan . I got so much pussy you wouldn't believe that I had been homeless literally a year before. I guess it was due to the fact that I had taken the team from being last place in the division to back to back championships. I defended the puck so well that I was basically a second goaltender for our team. In fact, when they announced awards at the end of the season I always won Goaltender of the Year over an actual goaltender. Naturally, I was always the MVP of the league every year I played. As my senior season finished, I knew I had to figure something out or I'd be going back to living on the streets.

In my final week of school I got a message from @Blazzer. I was super eager to open it because I thought I was getting a free porn subscription, but it turned out I just didn't know how to read. Anyway, I got an offer to finish out S87 with the minor league team known as the Las Vegas Aces. It was definitely a good alternative to living on the streets, so I decided to accept. I rented an apartment for a month, but it just didn't feel like home. I decided to default on my rental agreement and move back into my box behind Chipotle. That brings us to where I am now, hopefully I'll be good in the VHLM!
