I'll apply. I GMed at the WJC last season, got to know STHS a little bit, and got into the GM office for the first time. I'm building up my resume to become a VHL GM, and I could use some more practice at lines. I'm pretty active on both forums and discord, and I love hyping up the LRs and keeping the game threads hot. Also my player is Nordic so I guess that's what I'm applying for

Well, Prague ended Riga's season a couple days ago, so now I'm waiting impatiently for the next big event, my first VHL entry draft as an AGM. It's an exciting feeling. Anyway, I'm gonna go through what Zetterstrom's season looked like and if he did good. First of all, his stat line was pretty damn good. 16 goals, 58 assists, and 74 points was way, WAY above my expectations. Then again, he usually got about 25-30 mins of ice time per game, so the points come naturally. And although he fell off the leaderboard about midway through the season, his 166 blocked shots are also respectable. Overall, in rookie scoring, he finished second place to Red Lite. He was also two points off the league defencemen leaderboard, which is something I'm proud of. All in all, a pretty damn successful season. Alright. Back to the topic that I'm most excited about, the draft. When Zetterstrom was drafted, way back in S75, I watched the whole draft. It was really cool to me how similar it was to the actual NHL draft, which I also follow. The trades and everything are a real simulation of an NHL draft, so being a part of that is something I'm looking forward to.

RIGA REIGN PRESS CONFERENCE Week Ending 02/28 1. As of today's sims, we were knocked out by Prague. Do you think we had a season to be proud of? 2. Are you satisfied with your player's performance this season? Are there any awards in sight? 3. With how the series are shaping up now, who's your pick for the cup? 4. What would your ideal expansion team be called? 5. What movie can you watch over and over again without getting tired of it? 6. You have three stoves: a gas stove, a wood stove, and a coal stove, but only one match. Which should you light first? (I'll post the answer in both LRs, make your best guess!)

I'm not going to pretend I know what's the deal here. I don't know crap about simming and how it can be modified. But what I've taken from reading this shitshow is that live simming isn't too big of an ask.

Team Europe Babayy!

I gotta say, I never saw this coming. And when I say this, I mean this: My boy Zetterstrom is first in rookie scoring with 65 points in 61 games. It's the first time he's been point per game in anything since he joined the VHL, and I am flabbergasted. He is supposed to be a defensive defenceman. My highest attribute is defense, and it's not close. I even fell off the blocked shots leaderboard about midway through the season. I would even say I care more about that stat than I do about points! But who am I to complain. I'm getting ice time by the metric ton and a lot of really good rookies aren't. It's not uncommon to see a VHLM graduate be really slow developing into a top scorer in the VHL. Hell, Cabe McJake, the golden example of what a rookie should be, is trailing me in points. It doesn't make much sense. I was expecting the ice time, and the points, to ease off once veteran newcomers Guy Sasakamoose and Oskar Lagesson started eating into it. But no. Instead, my points have skyrocketed. Although that might be from chemistry, as Zetterstrom seems to be meshing really well with his defense partner, Lagesson. Either way, it's still a bit shocking considering that Red Lite is behind me in points. Lite also has pretty decent ice time conditions, and gets to play with the likes of Gary Rush and Rhynex Entertainment. I have a feeling he'll take the throne back soon, but as they say, enjoy it while it lasts.
