Linus Zetterstrom Rookie Experience The first few games today kicked off the S76 regular season in the VHL. Linus Zetterstrom, a rookie defencemen for the rebuilding Riga Reign, was excited to put the long offseason behind him and get back to playing the best sport in the world. In the first two games, he notched an assist in both games, proving that he isn't just capable on the defensive side of the puck. And while that elusive first goal is still in the road ahead, Zetterstrom feels no pressure towards that milestone. After his second full season in the VHLM, Zetterstrom felt he was ready to make a difference at the VHL level. Thankfully, Riga GM @hedgehog337 did too, granting Zetterstrom first pairing ice time and experience on both the power play and the penalty kill. In a little interview after both games, number 26 voiced his support and respect towards the masterful GM. "He's a great guy, and he really knows what he's doing with this team", Zetterstrom said. "We may not be incredibly successful this season, but give or take a couple seasons for all our young guys to develop and mature, we will be a scary team, mark my words. We already have a lot of firepower in guys like Dolant[Fertitta], Cabe[McJake], and Addison[McLaren], so I think once those guys have some more experience under their belt, we will be champions. It is only a matter of time." When asked about the cultural shock that came from moving to a foreign country such as Latvia, Zetterstrom waved it off. "It's probably a lot harder on some of the Canadian and American guys, moving to Riga. The culture is not totally unlike that of Sweden, and neither is the language. I've been to Riga twice before, and it's a fantastic community. Not as large as any of the big American cities, but it has a strong love for hockey and we want to give them some wins." Even the looming basement finish didn't seem to bother him that much. "I know we lost our two opening games. It's always tough to lose, but I think we played our best, especially in the second game. In the first game, against Davos, we just didn't bring it. I know it isn't an excuse, but we had 11 guys making their VHL debut. I think it's no sweat, especially considering how well we played in the second game. We were up against Moscow, one of the best teams in the league, and we almost got them at the end. We lost 4-3, but there were definitely some positives in there." The Reign take on the Seattle Bears and the Helsinki Titans tomorrow. Hopefully, they can turn this lazy start around. 459 words

Yeah, I'd love to do one of these, put me on the list. What do I have to do?

1. I think we'll be a spoiler for sure. We won't be at the top, but I think we have the talent to get off the bottom 2. Get rid of all the Leafs fans 3. No rituals for me. Re-taping my stick, maybe 4. I think we should use this season as a development season so we can rock em next season 5. Go back to Sweden, hang out with family, train, you know 6. I mean, similar culture to Sweden, but still a whole new country. It's been weird 7. Nope. Still working on it lmao 8. I mean, if we need to make the draft bigger again, I think we could do that 9. Cereal before milk, always

These are all incredible! Amazing job to the three finalists! My vote went to the second one because the logos are clean, the S75 font is nice and it puts the focus on a milestone season, and I like the idea of commemorating the champion payers. However, this took nearly 10 minutes of thought, and I really love the other two. Fantastic job.

Although this was only the second season where I existed in this league, I know the VHM dispersal draft last night was a crazy one. I'm going to list two points of stuff that happened before, during, or after the draft last night. *** Note: I am not counting the Ottawa pick and I'm moving all the other picks up by one. Sorry for the inconvenience 1. Houston gets 6 first round picks Well, not exactly. There's a rule in the VHLM that you can't have more than I think 3 first round picks, but that didn't stop @rjfryman. If we exclude the Ottawa Lynx forfeited pick here, the Bulls had 3 first round picks going into the draft. With the first overall pick, he took Paul Atreides, and selected Duncan Idaho with the second overall pick. Then, the Philly Reapers took Asher Reinhart with the 4th overall pick. But rj promptly traded a S78 3rd, a S76 second(which turned out to be Mikey Harris) and a S77 4th in exchange for Reinhart, effectively giving the Bulls the first four picks in the draft because at 4th overall, they selected Javad Kamkar. After Yukon went and took Abe Roque with 5th overall, the Bulls wanted more. The Aces had the 7th overall pick, and selected Rusty Knale. But Knale and an S77 5th were dealt to Houston for the pick that would turn into Darryl McDagg, and S77 2nd and 4th. Oh, and they were not done yet. When Miami took Germano Henchoz 10th overall, the Bulls traded for him and The Blob with some more picks. A pretty eventful night, if you ask me. 2. Teams go crazy for defencemen Yeah, this one is exactly as advertised. The value of defencemen suddenly skyrocketed, because of the sheer amount of forwards available and the lack of defencemen. Also relevant was the massive goalie falling, but that's just part of the routine, so not worth mentioning in detail. However, this year's issue with defencemen is pretty new. Guys who were relatively low on TPE and activity were going real fast in the first three rounds, and a lot of teams now have less than 4 defencemen. It's unlikely that we'll see another D core like the one Vegas had last season, at least for this season. . And that wraps up probably my longest ever vhl.com article. Thanks for reading 397 words

As of today, the S75 World Juniors are officially under way! After being hyped for weeks by the impatient GMs, the sims finally came today. Looking at the VSN WJC preview that came out not long ago, it was clear there were some upsets. After the first few games, it was clear that this year's tourney would be unpredictable. It started out with a pedestrian 5-3 win for World over Asia, then a 5-1 spanking for USA over Canada, and it turned into a 6-3 upset victory over Europe at the hands of World. Considering Europe was ranked highest and World second lowest, it was quite the surprise. Chicken Wing getting 4 points in that game definitely made me rethink my selections for my team. However, later in the tourney, Europe routed Canada 6-2, which helped sooth my nerves quite a bit. World also finished the day 2-0, securing their status as the team to beat for now. USA also finished with an undefeated record, going 2-0 and beating Canada and Asia. Europe finished 1-1, while Canada squeaked by Asia to give themselves a 1-2 record, while Asia took a blow with a 0-3 record. After consulting the scores and the rosters one more time, we can get a good idea of what the standings will look like after the round robin. World has presented a good case for top in the tourney so far, although Europe outshot them. Europe also has a good chance, especially if they do well against USA. The Americans are also in the gold conversation, and their game against Europe will be an important one. As for the others, a quick turnaround will be beneficial. 280 words

A decent start for team Europe, and a fantastic start for team World *Zetterstrom gets assist vs Europe

1. Philly had a fantastic team and they deserved to win. 2. Yeah, congrats thad! Sorry in advance for all these quote pings. 3. Use them. Right now, the Aces are made up of about 4 players. 4. Why would you even bother asking smh my head. Europe will get half of the gold medal and world will get the other half 5. I don't wanna leave Vegas 6. Online school sucks

Review: Reading through, it looks like Gobeil had a hell of a successful career, and should have a better one in Prague next season. I also like how gave each team you played for a paragraph. My only suggestion is to maybe space out the big paragraphs a bit more and put the team name in bold over each paragraph. 8.5/10
