  1. Honestly, with how well Murray was playing (at a historic pace, with all those 100 yard games to start the season), I think Linehan just figured to keep riding the hot hand while it lasted... and it never really ended. Murray is a great back for sure, but that line definitely had a lot to do with it too. Also, I want in on the fantasy league too!
  2. If by dominance, you mean seasons to come of them being put on their ass, then yes. You have that to look forward to.
  3. A New Reign RIGA - After arriving with the Riga Reign through an off-season trade, Jack Kowalski finds himself with a lot to prove. A former second overall selection in Season 41, he now finds himself joining his third team in his career, never quite having lived up to his, or the Victory Hockey League's expectations. However, that stands to change in Season 45. "A fire has been lit under me for sure," said Kowalski during Riga's off-season training camp. "I've got a lot to prove and a lot of expectations to deliver if I'm going to help Riga this season. I'm going to have to be great for the Reign to meet our expectations for this season, so that's exactly what they're going to get." Kowalski has been seen training at a level not seen for nearly three seasons, one that has brought quite the smile to General Manager Steve Smeall's face. "It's sure looking like we right the right choice in acquiring Jack," Smeall gleamed at a press conference this afternoon. "We definitely need him to keep this up and get even better though, but if he does, the VHL will certainly be on notice this year." 4. Sent $40 for S44 and S45. I'll take an extra 5 uncapped TPE for S44 and an extra doubles week for S45, so that'll give me three doubles weeks.
  5. Player Name: Jack Kowalski VHL Team: Riga Reign Cash you have: $11,000,000 Purchase Name: Two Attribute Points, Point Task & VHL.com Upgrade Cost of Purchase: $5m, $2m, $2m Cash Left: $2,000,000
  6. That line is built to pound the rock, and the Thanksgiving game against the Eagles showed what happens when you can just blitz freely without having to worry about the run. If you had Murray with that line, would you be giving anyone else carries?
  7. They'll be able to run the ball just fine. Randle showed explosiveness last year and Christine Michael makes an interesting addition.
  8. Except he's too stubborn to do that. It's either QB or nothing for him.
  9. Voodoo is a hell of a drug.
  10. It is a glorious evening for Jack Kowalski. His beloved Vikings have won the Continental Cup and are having their victory parade down the streets of Stockholm. Fans are packed for blocks around the planned parade route. For any player of the Victory Hockey League, moments like these are why the game is played. Kowalski is reveling in the moment with Lord Karnage, another hard-nosed player like himself. However, unlike himself, Karnage seems distracted, bothered by something else. Kowalski takes time out from celebrating to ask him what's wrong. Karnage simply turns at him, looks coldly and matter-of-factly states, "Jack, none of this is real." In an instant, the euphoria has come to an end, for the parade is over and Kowalski finds himself in his bed, surrounded by darkness. It's 3:52 in the morning. "Damn, looks like I won't need the alarm again this morning," mutters Kowalski as he shuffles out of bed and onto the hardwood floors of his apartment... which didn't have hardwood previously. Startled, he leaps back, touching his polyester pajamas... which were most definitely fleece when he went to bed. Something weird is going on here. A dumbfounded Kowalski turns on the television, which illuminates the darkness in the room. It immediately begins blaring about the Riga Reign having completed a trade for a hard-hitting defenseman from the Toronto Legion. "Good," Kowalski thinks to himself. "They could use some toughness on defense." But it never occured to him that he was that defenseman. Kowalski turns off the television in a stunned silence, the room filling up with darkness, matching his current state of mind. "What in the hell is going on here?"
  11. Servin' up helpers all day, err day.
  12. What is this, I don't even. I CAN'T EVEN
  13. Kowalski shoot puck, Kowalski score goal.
  14. Kowalski Signs Big Extension STOCKHOLM - Although the Stockholm Vikings' season ended in disaster with a 4-0 sweep by the eventual Continental Cup champion Cologne Express, the year won't be ending all bad for the team. Defenseman and captain Jack Kowalski has reached an agreement with the team on a contract extension worth over $12 million. It is a five year deal, all but ensuring that Kowalski will avoid free agency for the duration of his career, in which he is under contract with Stockholm for the entire time. "It's great to have this out of the way," said Kowalski, who was also selected to his first VHL All-Star Game. "I never felt that I was going to be going anywhere other than Stockholm, but it's so much better to have it in writing, for it to be absolutely final. It's time for the Vikings and their fans to have their time and I want to be here to see it through to the end." After posting improvements in most statistics in his second year in the league, Kowalski aims to truly break out in Season 43 and take his place among the league's elite defensemen. With new additions coming through the trade and the draft, the Vikings also look to hoist the Continental Cup and complete their rise from the bottom of the league. 15. Encarnacion with the performance of the night!
  16. I'M TOO HOT! (HOT DAMN!) MAKE A DRAGON WANNA RETIRE MAN!
  17. I believe it also helps your performance in clutch situations and the playoffs as well.
  18. Waiting On the Seasons To Change STOCKHOLM - Entering Season 42, expectations really weren't that high for the Stockholm Vikings or defenseman Jack Kowalski. But as the games went by, both the Vikings and Kowalski showed that they were forces to be reckoned with, as Stockholm reached the playoffs with a 36-32-4 season after finishing dead last the year before, with Kowalski finishing with 77 points, good for second on the team and nearly double his output from his rookie season. However, just as quickly as it began, it was all over following a 4-0 series sweep by the Cologne Express in the first round. However, the rise of the Vikings is merely stalled, not over. While the Quebec City Meute and the Cologne Express clash for the Continental Cup, Stockholm is stuck waiting for the calendar to flip over. With holes on the roster to fill and two first round picks, including the first overall pick at their disposal, the future remains bright for one of the VHL's more downtrodden franchises. But although the days are long and empty now, this story is simply on hold, for the rise of the Vikings is not completed. Today, they must wait. In the coming weeks, they will re-arm, and in the coming season, they will strike. Jethro Novacek is a contributor for the MSFL Times, dealers of fine, expensive porches. 19. Wasn't I hired for the Facebook page?
  20. I wish I could say good series Cologne, but we all know it wasn't. You guys owned this series and showed us that there's a hell of a lot of work that needs to be done moving forward. Go get that Cup, choo choos. Cologne is long overdue for one.
