  1. Teams I've played for: almost exclusively Calgary. Brookside spent a season in Cologne, Marcellin spent a season in NY, and Hrdina spent a season in NY. Hyvarinen I know got traded somewhere after I went inactive but I don't recall where. Every player I've had except for Hrdina has been majority Calgary.
  2. I don't plan to go back to VHL GMing, but you may very well end up on Ottawa at some point. If circumstances are under my control, I intend to GM Ottawa as long as I'm active on the site.
  3. because you weren't on CGY under me

  7. @iRockstar @Laflamme @Banackock new VHLM GMs since that part has been updated - tag your guys. @124715 @Elhandon @Reives @DeathOnReddit @TWalkerFC
  8. Post parties were a good way to knock out a big media for me - I remember I'd write as though my player was actually having a party and bring different types of shenanigans for the teammates. Definitely stole that one off Jardy though
  9. You want to talk about steals, look at 17th there. Maybe 5 or so guys worth mentioning before that, and then with my first pick in a draft where I'd traded away my 1st/2nd rounders, I pull a future commish, GM, simmer, etc. Then again, it helps when 13 of the 16 picks prior to that were picked by Edgar, Spangle, and Meg.
  10. Any new guys on the team, feel free to answer Exlaxchronicles' questions, and I'll pose a few in here myself - if you answer over the cap of questions for one week, the rest can be used for the following week: 1. Any particular teams at the VHL level you would prefer to be drafted to when the time comes, just from what you know of them now? Any you'd rather avoid? 2. Assuming you watch hockey, which is your favorite NHL team? 3. What other sports do you watch besides hockey, and what's your favorite team from those? 4. What do you think of the league so far? 5. A little off the wall one here - favorite enjoyment activity in real life? VHL excluded, of course.
  11. With three games underway in the S61 VHL season, Evan R. Lawson, former CFO of Hank Med, is top 10 in points in the league. Granted, there have only been three games, so it's a bit of an inaccurate reading, but Lawson opened the season with a hat trick and an assist against the Seattle Bears, in a game his team (Calgary Wranglers) won 5-3. In that game, Lawson also went 3-3 on faceoffs and played a few shifts of power play, which was in effect for his assist and first goal. Perhaps it could be said, then, that the real stars were actually SEA LW2 and SEA RW3 for committing the penalties that allowed Lawson to shine in the first period of that game, although his goals in both the other periods were at even strength. Special notice must also be given to Michael Kinkaid, who assisted on all three Lawson goals as well as contributing a goal of his own. In fact, because of that one game, Kinkaid is in the top 5 in points as well as Lawson in the top 10 (Kinkaid is in a four way tie for 2nd through 5th, Lawson is in a 6 way tie for 6th through 11th). Kinkaid and Lawson are the only two Wranglers within the top 10 on the points list at the current time. In theory, the best tiebreaker for total points should be the P/20 stat (it's not what the game uses, I'm just putting my own preference onto it) and had that been used, Kinkaid would be sitting third as he has the second highest P/20 of the people he's tied with (behind Veran Dragomir, and ahead of Lavar Ball and Mathieu Bourdon). Lawson also relatively outperforms most of his peers in the P/20 stat among those involved in the tie, placing only behind Aleksei Federov, while also ahead of Noel Roux, Beau Louth, Jake Scheel, and Chase Keller. In addition to that single game that helped out Lawson and Kinkaid's personal stat's greatly while also giving the team a vital win, Lawson also picked up an assist in the other Wranglers-Bears game, setting up Oyorra Arroyo for his first goal of the game and of the season (he would later score again in the same game, sandwiching a Mats Johnsson goal in a busy Wranglers second period). Kinkaid, meanwhile, assisted both of the other goals scored besides the one Lawson assisted on, the one extra assist of course being the difference between the two so far in points. To this point in the season, the Wranglers are 2-1-0, for 4 points and a 3 way tie for third place in the league. The interesting part is that of the teams involved in the 3 way tie, all of them also have the same goal difference, plus 3. The Wranglers have the fewest goals scored and conceded of the teams involved in the tie, partially because of a 1-0 loss to Toronto. Quebec have also won twice and lost once, but their loss was in overtime so they're a point up on the three in the tie.
