1m to play for Ottawa

Ottawa offers 1m to be backup. You'll get games, primarily against Saskatoon. My starter is pretty firmly entrenched but I'd definitely put you in as backup over Durgen (inactive) and get you probably about a quarter or so of the games left.

Honestly, I think it's only proper for a GM to choose strategically who to play the backup against. If his decision is to play him against Helsinki, then he should do so. Surely this is no worse than the Ahma Davos thing?

So I'm looking at the bracket and where teams are falling, and I'm thinking Croatia can do some damage, Gerrard-Lampard comparisons be damned. Denmark shouldn't pose much of a threat, then I'm not that impressed with Spain right now

I have one active goalie, my starter. I'd have no problem putting you in as backup rather than Durgen, who's been gone for over a season. You wouldn't get a ton of games but I'd make sure you had your fair share. 1m offer from Ottawa

Ottawa offers 1m. We're in a decent spot in the middle of the standings but most of our roster is comprised of new signings like you, so you'd be right in line with much of the team

@Elhandon I actually do a few non-standard board games myself, not too in depth (primarily because I don't have a lot of local people interested in them) but I've done things like Dead of Winter, Kill Shakespeare, and I have Ticket to Ride and Pandemic on my tablet to play against CPU players.

Yeah when I was first getting back into the swing of things, Chris telling me that was a thing was one of the reasons I stuck. Now I don't think I'm particularly in danger of leaving if it goes, but I doubt I'd have come back as strongly had that not been a rule at the time. I have a suspicion public opinion will be pretty strong, so let's just hope the results of the poll matter, once it goes up
