He had no more than 12 more points than any of these other forwards, who all had significantly more hits. Yeah, he did also have the +55 and the best face-off percentage in the league, so voting for him is totally justified, but I'm just kind of surprised that nobody is valuing the hits that any of the other forwards have on him. Aside from Koenig, the rest of these guys are wings, and based on face-off totals is looks like Koenig was only a part-time center. Just another thing to consider. Like Slaughter, who may not of had many hits, but was consistently on one of the best defensive teams and played a lot of PK minutes with one of the top PK teams.
