Also, would love it if people posted their favourite workout songs below. I am looking to restructure my current Workout Playlist.

Okay, what's everyone's status?!

I've starting a new program now, focusing on size and strength. Been feeling better and better through each workout. Also have been eating better, minus fridays. I'm gearing up for beach season, where I will hopefully actually be able to go to the beach. Toronto beaches don't really count.

Anyone want to share anything!? Ask questions, or gloat about something healthy/awesome you've done? According to my last workout, I lifted 22,000kg+ or 50,000 lbs. That was a Chest, Triceps, Calves day in the 12-15 rep range. I found that surprising.

This in the short term (the 50k option)

maaaaaybe... this in the long term (the 100k option)

So, I went to the gym today. I've been working 2 jobs and I knew that I haven't gone in a bit....

then when I did my warm up run, which I always do at least 1k before a workout, I look...and it says LAST RUN 18 DAYS AGO. FUCK!

So, now I have 2 weeks vacation from my nightshift job. I will be going to the gym for as much as possible during that. I've also gained 5lbs while not going to the gym and basically eating out every single day.

God damnit.

Honestly the biggest thing I've learned through trial & tribulation is that consistency is key.  For instance, I found a niche in going before work (mostly cause it was ridiculously crowded going after work) and it was somewhat of a double-benefit because I got to work awake and generally stress-free (tip - make pre-workout before you go to bed and drink it when your alarm goes off...  you'll eventually get out of bed :P).  Eating is probably the other major thing I found after toying with different programs.  Find a diet that you can deviate in a few different directions, and have fun with it.

Well I was on my grind for prom, I was working out every day and doing cardio 2-3 times a week but was eating like shit. I have another prom in 2 weeks and have a date for this one so the next 2 weeks I am gonna be eating healthy/working out every and/or doing cardio because she fine af.

Thats my motivation rn

Yeah, for awhile I was going to the gym consistently and was fine. But since I've gotten a second job, I've just been getting so lazy especially these last few weeks.

still preparing for half-marathon on August.

here my endomondo profile: https://www.endomondo.com/profile/2229962

Nicely done! A half is a good length of race. I really need to do another half, my last one that wasn't part of a longer race was 2 years ago so I'm sitting on a PR the next time I do one.

I don't know why I didn't know about this endomondo, I'll have to get one.

In other news: my 50k was on Saturday, but I DNFed. So did half the field though, it was ridiculously hot and humid.

I've done 3 marathons. Theoretically, a 50k is only 5 more miles, so I don't know why I seem to be getting stuck (two different attempts at 50k, both DNF, although they were also both in the hottest part of the year). Best of luck to you when you do try a marathon, as well as if you decide to try the 100k.

Also, I already have 30 years.

oh you thought about miles. i thought about km.

maybe mental you arent ready, cause i have run 2 half-marathons and in both at ~17km i have to stragel. Something happens and and i just cant any more althought physicaly i can.

Edited by bukss_a

This year i train little bit diferent, cause now i have heart rate monitor and i think there is already first results. If earlier i almost walked to stay in 60% -70% from HRmax, then now i can run ~7:20 min/km

But seriously...  what did you use on (I'm assuming) bodybuilding?  They had a pretty good cellucor sale on Monday so I picked up 2 things of NO2.

There's a good lean/shred program I think I still have lying around if you're looking for one (pretty sure it's jim stoppani, or whatever his last name is)...  Use it as my fall-back when I'm not doing another program.

I get a number of things off bb. amino build, multivits, fish oils, casein, whey and whey/casein protein powders, creatine...

I've done Jim Stopanni's shortcut-to-shred. Did that at the beginning of the year. It was fantastic. Now I'll probably go back to it... but I'm going to modify it
