eaglesfan036 4,603 Posted June 20, 2016 Share Posted June 20, 2016 Y'all never post anything. I hit view new content after not being on here most of the day, and am done looking in 5 minutes. One thing I try to do a lot to help with this is tag lots of people in my media spots and stuff to try and generate discussion, but it seems this is not reciprocated. I see a lot of people logged in here throughout the day, but only a rare few ever go on chat (perhaps a lot of people still don't know chat exists?). Part of this probably has to also do with Calgary sucking, as we have only a few actives in the LR so even my usually fun LRs have barely anything going on. In the VHLM, my player after a great start has started sucking. Sucky player + sucky team I GM + less fun posts to look at = less motivation. Part of this is on me as I need to embrace the suck like a true Philadelphian, but y'all should try to have a little more fun on here. Organizing things like the VHL wrestlemania, or our current VHL NHL 16 club goes a long way towards making this community fun. Certainly not saying that's the only factor, just that summers are usually a busier time for us youngins. And answer to what anyways, how to increase activity? We have an extremely lucrative recruitment drive active right now that few people have taken advantage of. Or if you want to talk about increasing activity within the existing population, how about two players - but, you are strongly against such a proposal. So what is the answer?!?!? But I kinda feel the same way. I mean with new integrated voip server setups like discord going free and such, it'd be pretty easy I think to get these rolling. I mean we have the video game thread but perhaps expanding that may drive more community activity? Proof that LR's at the top are evil; they should be put back to the bottom where they belong I think we need to find ways to interact with each other outside of the VHL, as odd as that sounds. Back in the day I used to chat up Scotty or Zimmers on MSN and play CoD with McNeil and talk about VHL stuff; that doesn't seem to exist anymore; or maybe I'm just out of touch now. It seems counter-productive since it takes people off the forum but it also leads to VHL related discussions and interest even when we're away which overall keeps interest in the league high.
