Knight 1,289
1. Moscow now has two "Goncalves" players in the roster, what does it all mean; is this the end of times? Start of the golden era? Did Moscow eat both the blue and the red pill? I don't really understand the question, but I do like green eggs and ham. 2. In the draft Moscow selected the whole management team of Davos, elite players and prospects, but just what kind of thoughts ran through your mind when you heard the draft results? As a former GM of Davos myself, I thought it was a wise decision. 3. How much money you have in your player store? If you have little something - what are you planning on doing with it? Enough to stave off my short depreciation. That was always the goal. 4. The training camp is soon starting - how are you spending that tasty 10 TPE? Recouping all the TPE I just lost from depreciation. 5. Is it going to be weird to wake up and not being able to check the VHLE sim results as you eat your morning porridge? Yeah it's a real life changer. Will have to take a step back and reassess how I view things. 6. What song should be the Moscow goal song for the upcoming season? I say "Milkshake?" by Kelis We should have a song no one likes, because we don't want a good song to get ruined by annoying everyone with how much we're scoring. Knight 1,289
1. What are your goals for the team's performance in S96? Will nothing short of a Cup do? 2. What are your goals for your player's performance in S96? 3. We're almost finished the off-season. What's one off-season improvement you would make if you were commissioner for a day? 4. We just had the awards ceremony and it was a healthy dose of Moscow Menace. What award will your player win next season and why? 5. Winter is coming up. Do you have any favourite winter hobbies? 6. If you're Canadian, how did you spend your thanksgiving? If not, then describe where you're from. Spartan
Spartan 4,375
I'm so sorry for not asking questions, but I remembered this week! 1. We've started off very hot, 8-0 in the first week but the level of competition has been iffy given a lot of bad teams during that time. Do our wins mean much to you? What are you taking away from these initial games? 2. Despite going through depreciation, Jarmo Ruutu and David Rashford are still over a point per game pace. What do you think they're doing that's giving them continued success? 3. Has any team's start this season surprised you? As in a team is performing better than you expected, or someone worse than expected? 4. Who do you think will be our stiffest competition in the EU this season? Riga is the defending champion, Davos is entering their competitive window, and Malmo has a mix of veterans and fresh blood. Who poses the biggest threat and why? 5. How do you feel about the extreme disparity between contending teams and rebuilding teams? The point differential between the worst wild card team and the next best team in the EU is already pretty substantial. Does it take away from the competitive integrity of the league for the playoff teams in a conference to be known before the season even starts? 6. Why do you like playing for Moscow? Give me some testimonials to use on recruiting people or interviewing draft prospects in the future .
jRuutu 2,462
1. We've started off very hot, 8-0 in the first week but the level of competition has been iffy given a lot of bad teams during that time. Do our wins mean much to you? What are you taking away from these initial games? I think the points could end up being valuable in the end if and when we want to finish first in the standings. You need to still win the weaker teams, and we have done that. 2. Despite going through depreciation, Jarmo Ruutu and David Rashford are still over a point per game pace. What do you think they're doing that's giving them continued success? Internal storm created by being extremely talented and humble at the same time. 3. Has any team's start this season surprised you? As in a team is performing better than you expected, or someone worse than expected? Toronto perhaps, I was expecting them to be higher in the standings, but then again the schedule might have been weird and they have faced only the better teams so far. 4. Who do you think will be our stiffest competition in the EU this season? Riga is the defending champion, Davos is entering their competitive window, and Malmo has a mix of veterans and fresh blood. Who poses the biggest threat and why? I think Riga, they appear to have 2 solid scoring lines, that will be huge thing in a long regular season. 5. How do you feel about the extreme disparity between contending teams and rebuilding teams? The point differential between the worst wild card team and the next best team in the EU is already pretty substantial. Does it take away from the competitive integrity of the league for the playoff teams in a conference to be known before the season even starts? Not good for the league and I think the teams in the contending window will have to analyze games against the better teams in greater detail than maybe in the past because the difference in skill is so big that the weaker teams can be beaten with random tactics. 6. Why do you like playing for Moscow? Give me some testimonials to use on recruiting people or interviewing draft prospects in the future . Moscow is a nice city to live in. Playing for Moscow Menace has always been a dream of mine. When you say what you are told and you do your best - you will not get traded away. What more can you ask for? They weren't a mirage. 2. More experience and good teammates. 3. Toronto feels like they should be doing better. 4. Well there's a clear gap between the top four and lower four at this point, I'll say Nighthawks but really you could say any of those teams. 5. I mean the funny thing is that happened in the NHL a few seasons back, where in the Eastern conference there was a clear gap between the playoff teams and the none playoff teams, all the eastern teams that made the playoffs had more than 100 points. That said it does make that season pretty predictable but we also don't see it happen to often so I don't think it's a big deal. 6. Well.... I'm not in Moscow but Spartan, your a pretty cool guy ^^ Spartan
Spartan 4,375
New set of questions, I'm so good at remembering! 1. It looks like our hot start wasn't a fluke, and we now have only 1 regulation loss in 23 games while surging comfortably at the top of the league. Does the Victory Cup curse ever start to creep into mind? Do you believe in it? 2. Our goalie play was the biggest question mark going into the season, but our goalies combine to lead the league in GAA with strong SV%'s as well. What message do you have for @Dil and @BrutalBoost to keep their momentum going? 3. Last season, Jarmo Ruutu led the league in assists as a forward, now Maverick Goncalves paces the league in assists. Why do you think the Moscow style of play favors forwards generating so many assists when it's often a defenseman category? 4. 7 out of 10 skaters on the roster are well over a point per game pace. Is this sustainable? How do we avoid a crash? 5. As well as the Menace are playing, the Pittsburgh Penguins look to be playing inversely as they're playing horrible hockey. Am I just not allowed to have two of my favorite teams playing well? 6. How's your NHL team doing after the first couple weeks of the season? Better than the Penguins hopefully? jRuutu 2,462
1. It looks like our hot start wasn't a fluke, and we now have only 1 regulation loss in 23 games while surging comfortably at the top of the league. Does the Victory Cup curse ever start to creep into mind? Do you believe in it? If and when we finish first and get a early exit then I am a believer. This season feels different with so many weaker teams but then again we have also won the better teams clearly, I am thinking this year we should have solid odds of making a deep run in the playoffs. 2. Our goalie play was the biggest question mark going into the season, but our goalies combine to lead the league in GAA with strong SV%'s as well. What message do you have for @Diland @BrutalBoost to keep their momentum going? Good job fellas, keep catching the pucks! 3. Last season, Jarmo Ruutu led the league in assists as a forward, now Maverick Goncalves paces the league in assists. Why do you think the Moscow style of play favors forwards generating so many assists when it's often a defenseman category? The Moscow forwards believe in the old-school mentality of leaving defenders to do the defending, that allows the forwards to focus only in offense, which naturally translates to solid numbers offensively. 4. 7 out of 10 skaters on the roster are well over a point per game pace. Is this sustainable? How do we avoid a crash? It is! We are too talented, both lines click well. With so many weaker teams in the league we can demolish many teams and feast on points. 5. As well as the Menace are playing, the Pittsburgh Penguins look to be playing inversely as they're playing horrible hockey. Am I just not allowed to have two of my favorite teams playing well? Puljujärvi has friends in high places, you should consider buying Puljujärvi jersey for good luck. 6. How's your NHL team doing after the first couple weeks of the season? Better than the Penguins hopefully? I don't have a NHL team, but it has been cool to see the Finnish players in big roles in many teams. I haven't seen any articles to do with if teams win the victory cup do they win in the playoffs, so I don't know how strong the curse is, I'm gonna say no. 2. Keep looking to one up the other, friendly competition is good!! 3. I have no idea really, a little out my league in terms of guessing what it could be. 4. It probably drops down by a player or two but otherwise I think you can keep it going 5. Nah, just unlucky timing, Penguins are doing the Sharks thing of putting off the rebuild when it's pretty clear they need it. Imo at least. 6. Well my favorite team is the Sharks so.... at least they won some games before October was over? Spartan

You have to believe and respect it enough to let it become fuel. 2. Nothing we can say to those guys. They’re both highly motivated individuals who perform as great as they can when they’re between the posts. 3. We miss shots and take the primary assist away from the D. 4. The way we’re playing… sustainable. 5. Yikes… I guess not. 6. Better than the Penguins… not great though. Spartan
Spartan 4,375 Posted yesterday at 03:06 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:06 PM New week new presser my roommate has HFMD! 1. Alright, we've lost a couple more games in the last week, especially at the tail end. Is this the return to normalcy you were expecting? Or is it just a slight speed bump along the way? 2. Nils Andersson @Viper only has 5 points on the season despite Moscow being the highest scoring team in the league. What pep talk would you give him to spark his scoring touch a bit? 3. It's theme week! What's your favorite story from the VHL's past? Mine has to be the whole Horcrux and Kachur situation and how that all played out. 4. We've got a pretty wild finance situation where almost the entire team except Obuz, Rashford and Reed are UFAs or Retiring (Andersson) next season. Do you think we'll be able to keep most of the roster together for next season? 5. My roommate has Hand Foot Mouth Disease. What are the worst preventative measures I can take to not get it as well? 6. Did you have a nice Halloween? Do you celebrate it at all, or do you just enjoy a nice night in?
